WHY WE HAVE EVENTS AND ATTENDANCE: The purpose of events is to socialise and have fun with clan members, recruit new people into the clan, earn money and to train skills. These are some of the benefits of attending events and for attending events you will also earn rank-up points that can be used to gain promotions in the clan. We have event attendance so we can track what events the clan enjoys doing and what ones the clan doesn't so we can figure out what events to host as well as the times to host them. Also event attendance is used to track the progress of each ranks attendance as it counts towards promotions. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ HOW EVENT ATTENDANCE WORKS: Each events attendance varies slightly but if you attend an event and are actively doing the event for 30 minutes you will get attendance for it. If you wish to get credit for attending an event make sure your event hoster knows you are attending the event so that he/she can monitor your attendance and mark you off accordingly as sometimes you could get missed if you show up late for example. HOW EVENT ATTENDANCE IS MARKED OFF AND HOW MANY RANK-UP POINTS EACH EVENT WILL GIVE YOU: How event attendance is marked off depends on what the event is. Some events will reward more rank-up points but this is because these events either need a certain amount of players to do and are hard to start up or are not done often enough so some extra incentive is needed. Recruitment during events: All events where there are non clan members around is an opportunity for all clan members to go the extra-mile and help recruit more people into the clan. Normally this will take place during bank skilling events. - For recruiting for a total of 10 minutes at an event rewards a bonus rank-up point. You won't be able to earn any more points for continued recruiting at the same event though. Dungeoneering / Sinkholes & Big Chinchompa D&D events: Must complete any type of dungeon with an admin or higher rank at least once over the span of the event. Or complete a Sinkhole/round of Big Chinchompa with fellow clan mates. - This will reward 1 rank-up point for attendance. All bossing events: Must be in the boss room for a continuous 30 minute period over the span of the event. People often stay for much longer but their extra efforts will be rewarded with loot instead of more points. - This will reward 1 rank-up point for attendance. Bank skilling events: Must be visible from the chosen bank or be inside the bank for a total of 30 minutes or more over the span of the event. You don't have to skill, you can socialise, merch or recruit too. Unless the event is at the Grand Exchange being there won't count towards your attendance. - This will reward 1 rank-up point for attendance. Battle of Lumbridge events: Must be on the battlefield skilling or/and killing for a total of 30 minutes or more over the span of the event. Quickly claiming rewards/handing in tears is allowed over the 30 minute period. - This will reward 1 rank-up point for attendance. Old "dead" content events like trouble brewing/fishing trawler: These will reward 2 event points for attending them for 30 minutes or more. The reason they are worth 2 rank-up points instead of 1 is because in the majority of clans out there, clan members do not want to attend these events but are asked to to help boost up numbers that are needed to do these events so as an extra incentive to help these events happen they will reward more rank-up points. More "dead" activities could be added to this if anyone has any to suggest please do :) Citadel events: Attending a citadel skilling event for 30 minutes or more rewards 1 point. Capping in the citadel rewards a bonus 3 points regardless if done during a citadel skilling even or outside of one. Any other events based at the citadel like parties/battlefield fun/etc. reward 1 point for 30 minutes or more of attendance. Other events: Must attend the event for a total of 30 minutes or more over the span of the event. - You will be rewarded with 1 rank-up point for your attendance. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ WHY WE HAVE EVENT HOSTERS: Only Admins or higher ranks may host events that contribute to the attendance and rank-up points for all clan members. Recruits to Generals can still train skills and kill bosses but this will not give any rank-up points. Instead your total experience you earn while being in the clan contributes to promotions if you do not wish to attend events often or at all. The reason why we have event hosters is because they have earned the right to host events and they know how to host them. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ HOW TO HOST EVENTS: A. First you must be an Admin or higher rank. Next pick an event to host that you are able to host and know how to do. Also you will have to be able to explain to other clan members what they need/what they need to do/how to get there as well. - Just remember that Organisers & higher ranks can host Nex, Kalphite King & Vorago but Admins can't. B. Note down full display names of who turns up. C. Note down who was actively doing the event for 30 minutes or more. If they were active they get attendance, if not they don't. - Don't be stingy if they actively did the event for 29 minutes that's fine, however if they obviously didn't want to be there and didn't actively do the event and were causing problems that's a different story. D. Note down if anyone recruits for the clan for about 10 minutes or more. - This earns them a bonus rank-up point. E. Note down if anyone misbehaves during the event. - Include what happened, who was involved & additional details on your forum post. F. Note down any one who caps at the citadel if you've checked that they have capped. People can cap outside of events too and if they inform you that they have done so please follow it up. - You can check this by clicking on the golden arrow on the right of their name in the clan chat interface to see if they have capped. You will have to be in the same world to see this however. G. Post the attendance of all events you host in this thread: - Make sure you include correct details to ensure everyone gets the correct amount of rank-up points. - Name your post with the type of event & the date. - Do not worry about adding the points yourself, a Forum Admin will do this. - There is an example of how to do the forum post for attendance here: Edited by ll VVrath ll - S w a g e x, Sep 4 2013, 12:04 AM.
