Archer Guide by datsRO Arrows Silver Arrows - Can be bought for 3z at the Payon Dungeon Entrance Tool Dealer Fire Arrows - Can be bought for 3z at the Sunken Ship Entrance Tool Dealer Crystal Arrows - Cannot be bought. You must farm in Ice Dungeon for their drops and Arrow Craft Arrows. Wind Arrows - Cannot be bought. You must farm Wind of Verdures from Grand Pecos (2 North, 1 West of Aldebaren) Earth Arrows - Cannot be bought. You must farm Great Natures from Sleepers (1 South, 1 East, 1 North of Yuno) Shadow Arrows - Cannot be bought. You must farm Dullahans for their Armor Pieces (Niffelheim) Immaterial Arrows - Cannot be bought. You must farm LoD, or change Emperium into 600. (Yeah it sucks) Steel Arrows - Cannot be bought. You can change Elunium, Steel, and many other hard materials. Oridecon Arrows - Cannot be bought. Arrow Craft Oridecon. Archer Skill Tree Progression You can either go straight for Double Strafe, or you could wait to get Double Strafe until after you max out Vulture Eye. Double Strafe 10 Owl Eye 3 Vulture Eye 10 Owl Eye 10 Improve Concentration 10 Arrow Shower 9 Archer Stat Progression As an Archer your build is pretty cookie-cutter. There are not real variations until after you change into a Hunter. AGI 9 DEX 9 INT 9 DEX 60 AGI 60 DEX 70 AGI 99 DEX 99 Leveling Areas Archer Job 1 to Job 11 You are very weak right now, your ASPD and damage are quite bad. Take advantage of your elemental arrows. Payon Dungeon (Silver Arrows) - Kill the skeletons and Familiars for your first 2 or 3 jobs. After you can move onto Zombies until you get to Job 11. Prontera Culverts (Arrows) - Kill the thief bugs. Take this route if you want to level up your Vulture Eye first. This will allow you to "snipe" monsters from distance, which will enable you to live long because monsters must close the gap betwen you and the monster. Wolves (Fire Arrows) - This might be a little tough at first, so make sure you job level is around 5 or 6. 2 Double Strafes or a higher level Vulture eye should help you kill these guys pretty quickly. (Wolves are 2 South of Payon) Archer Job 11 to Job 40 So now you have some damage and either Vulture Eye or Double Strafe. To be honest, you can now go to Glast Heim Prison. But there are other places you could go. Glast Heim Prison (Silver Arrows) - Your Strategy here is to use Double Strafe on the Zombie Prisoners and "kite" them around until they die. After a few Base levels and Job Levels you shouldn't need anyone to help you kill them. Geographers (Fire Arrows) - This place is a lot easier than GHP and a lot less hectic. All you need to do here if find geographers that are alone because they heal each other if they are close to each other. Stay at least 4 cells away to not get hit because they hit pretty hard. (1 North of Einbroch) Payon Dungeon Level 2 to 4 (Silver Arrows) - You could also head down the payon dungeon cave and continue to eliminate the monsters. With a longer range and Double Strafe your only real challenge should be the Skeleton Archers. Sohees are always fun to kill because they drop Muffler[1]. Archer Job 40 to Job 42 Your pretty much a full-fledged Archer and should act like a full fledged Archer. Glast Heim Prison (Silver Arrows) - If you haven't already, go here. Your Double Strafe should be hitting for at least 2,000 damage and 5 Double Strafes will kill the zombies and injustices here. More over, your ASPD might be high enough to not even have to Double Strafe. Geographers (Fire Arrows) - You should be able to kill multiple geographers on a screen. This place is good experience as well. Archer Job 42 to Job 50 (optional) If your going to Job 50 then you are probably a High Archer. Glast Heim Prison (Silver Arrows) - High Archers will be able to Hit-Lock everything here. Easy EXP. Payon Dungeon Level 5 (Crystal Arrows) - High Archers will be able to Hit-Lock the Ninetails here. Easy EXP. Anolains (Wind Arrows) - Do not go here unless your ASPD is 180+ and your flee is 227. These guys are really good EXP. JOB CHANGE INTO HUNTER Edited by datsRO, Apr 30 2012, 04:26 AM.

Archer vs. Hunter The biggest difference you'll notice is your increased ASPD, and you can now have a Falcon. This adds a different aspect to the Archer Class. The Falcon The Falcon's damage is based on your INT/2 and DEX/10. The Falcon's chance to use Auto-Blitz is based on your LUK (NOT CRIT). Because it is LUK based the highest chance to have your Falcon use Auto-Blitz is somewhere around 35%. Hunter Skill Tree Progression Beast Bane 10 Falcon Mastery 1 Blitz Beat 5 Steel Crow 10 Detecting 4 Skid Trap 1 Ankle Snare 5 Land Mine 1 Remove Trap 1 Flasher Trap 1 Sandman Trap 5 Shockwave Trap 5 Hunter Builds There are really only two different builds when it comes to Hunter. Yes there is a "trapper" build, but to be honest you are gimping yourself if you go that route. Also, keep in mind your AGI amount is determined by your ASPD. If you have a Doppelganger card you can stop adding AGI once your ASPD is 190 fully buffed. AGI/DEX This is the cookie-cutter build. This build attains maximum ASPD and Bow Damage. You must restat in order to have LUK 9, instead of INT 9. Having LUK at 9 will give your falcon a 5% chance to Auto-Blitz for 850 damage. 99+6 AGI 99+20 DEX 9+4 LUK AGI/LUK/DEX This build give you very large ASPD and a 20% chance for your falcon to Auto-Blitz for 1010 damage. 99+6 AGI 53+4 LUK 63+20 DEX 41+4 INT 3+2 VIT Bear in mind, that you can play around with % chance of falcon Auto-Blitz and ASPD to something that is enjoyable for you. A good Ragnarok Online Stat Calculator is @ RO Stat Calculator Leveling Areas Level 50 to Level 75 Glast Heim Prison or Glast Heim Churchyard (Silver Arrows) - Both of these places should be quite easy for you now. Hunters are very powerful solo characters. Grand Pecos (Crystal Arrows) - Killing two birds with one stone... Grand Pecos will help you later when you begin your Anolian Career because you will have many Wind Arrows after this grind session. Level 75 to Level 90 Anolians (Wind Arrows) - (1 North and 1 East of Komoko Beach) Welcome to your new home. Keep them back if your flee isn't 227. At ASPD 181 you hit-lock them. There isn't a better place to level (in my opinion). Level 90 to Level 99 Anolians (Wind Arrows) - (1 North and 1 East of Komoko Beach) Welcome to your new home. Keep them back if your flee isn't 227. At ASPD 181 you hit-lock them. Loli Ruri (Silver Arrows) Ice Titan (Wind Arrows) - Make sure to change your build to HIGH CRIT and ASPD. There are so many places to level a Hunter to 99, and honestly I don't want to list them all out. They can go pretty much anywhere with a Priest and Wizard. Good Luck!
