What are your thoughts on Super Saiyan? Feel free to debate too. Here are my current thoughts on Super Saiyan:

I think that Super Saiyan isn't a true "multiplication" in the strictest sense like Kaio-Ken is. I see it as an on-demand temporary potential unlock to the degree of 5000% of the starting power level. Being a "natural" ability the power is flexible, so the Saiyan can "gather ki" the same way he could for his normal state to power it up beyond standard levels temporarily, or in short bursts like what Piccolo described to Dr. Gero. Between forms there would be a hard limit to how much a Saiyan could amp their form, and to go beyond that limit they would need to transform to the next level.

I've had this idea that while the neutral level of the base form would be the same gap between it and Super Saiyan throughout the series, the characters can augment their base with ki to sort of let the Super Saiyan power "bleed through" into their base form for a short while. Or that through mastery of the Super Saiyan form the Saiyan can use a portion of Super Saiyan power in base, making it appear like his base is stronger. It would indeed be stronger, but not naturally that strong.

Once a Saiyan masters the forms, extra power can be channeled into base from SSJ. If they have SSJ2, extra power can be channeled into SSJ, and so on. This way the "resting state" is 50x weaker than SSJ but they can bump themselves up without fully transforming if need be. They have a limit, so once they reach a certain power threshold they need to fully transform to get stronger. Such as:

Saiyan:
Resting Base: 1
Charged Base: 10-25
SSJ: 50
Charged SSJ: 75
SSJ2: 100
Charged SSJ2: 150
SSJ3: 400

400 is the max, the power between the forms below it is flexible.

The offshoots, Super Saiyan Grade 2, 3 and Legendary Super Saiyan I have this interpretation:

SSJ Power Distribution

I honestly think that SSJ3 is an extremely forced SSJ form and is just forcing power into SSJ2 state to make you stronger which is why the energy of the user decreases overtime and somewhat fast.
SSJ2 is the only truly ascended form after SSJ but is a lot more exhausting and harder to master than SSJ due to the higher power I also think no one has mastered super sayain 2 like SSJ was mastered back in cell arc which is why they chose to use SSJ as the form to apply God power in.
Super sayain grade 3 is just bulking up your muscles to inscrease power giving a toll on speed but that's a pretty obvious manga and anime fact.
Super sayain grade 2 is an exhaustive form and increases power but I think it reduces stamina of it's user.
Super sayain is the most comfortable easiest to master and honestly my favourite one other forms seem to be nothing more than upgrades to this one.
Super sayain God and super sayain God super sayain are both really over powered in my opinion.

I think Base Super Saiyan is kind of a gateway. There's no right way to progress, but there are a ton of options

1. Super Saiyan ->SSJ2->SSJ3
2. SSJ1->ASSJ->USSJ
3. SSJ1->FPSSJ
4. SSJ1->LSSJ
5. SSJ1->SSJG->SSGSS

YO! I'm from Earth!

I never really gave all this much thought. We don't use numbers to determine our strength levels anymore, just "feel" it...
I'd say 50x stronger at Super Saiya-jin 1 is a good guess though.
