What's worse is that it wasn't even wind yet people see it as that. It was a charged ki shockwave (Kiai; which is practically invisible)... Piccolo even expletively points out it's one of his Demon Clan's techniques. The fandom are bullies. I mean, if it really was that unimpressive defeat then nobody woulda been stunned by much less Krillin, Yamcha, and Muten Roshi. Anyways.... Overrated Vegeta - Even though Vegeta's like my favorite character, he gets blowed by fans a little too hard. People act like he was robbed of not receiving every bit of glory when there's reasons for it and downplay Goku on the side. SSJ2 Gohan - So many praise this Gohan to the ground for being 'badass' so much that it's like they're not really fans of Gohan but what they want him to be. East Kaioshin - Doesn't deserve any fans. Underrated Krillin - Humans in general are underrated in Dragon Ball (except Bulma, Tenshinhan, and #18) but I give it to my man Krillin. He's always got Goku's back since day one yet people keep mocking him for being "useless" and "dying a lot". Without him Gohan woulda died.... Dabra - He died way too early and was wasted potential that not enough people caught up on. Raditz - Same as above Both Broli - Fanboys act like he's greatest thing since the wheel while haters act like he's the worst thing since the holocaust. Both are equally exaggerating if you ask me. Overrated Broly - You know a villain's overrated when he gets transformation after transformation in DBH and is heralded as a good villain, despite having the stupidest goals out of any villain I've seen in any anime/manga. Yeah, being eternally pissed at a guy who cried near you is a lot more sensible than doing so over a guy who's dad stabbed you. Bardock - I like Bardock. His Rambo-esque trait of being a one man army in that special was pretty epic, but the guy's been in almost as many video games as Broly, despite serving very little role in the main plot. Then there's Episode of Bardock... Son Goku - Pretty obvious. Thanks for all the power ups, Toei. Gogeta - Even if we exclude power debates, character-wise, we barely got a glimpse of his personality in M12, yet fanboys herald him as a badass. In GT, he was basically just an adult Gotenks too, so to like Gogeta but not Gotenks makes little sense. Tenshinhan - Gets hyped by fanboys just due to pinning down Cell. Guidebooks even state he's weaker than Kuririn, but that seems to mean jack compared to his manly shoulders. Vegeta - Copy-paste what Squall put, along with him and Goku being on a completely different tier from the other Zet-Senshi in BoG. Vegetto - Overrated mainly by GT haters, who instead of rolling with the guidebook statement to imply SS3 Vegetto ~ SS4 Goku, use it to say that SSJ Vegetto ~ SS4 Beyond Limits Goku. Freeza - FnF. That is all. Underrated Chichi - It's a shock that Chichi VS Videl is still a common topic, or people believing she isn't even comparable to characters from the early volumes. Artificial Humans #19/#20 - Honestly not sure how a solid argument can be made for their post-absorption selves to be lower than Freeza anymore, to be honest. The Majority of GT characters - GT Haters have a lot of fun in nerfing many characters, whether it be believing Rild to be compared to a lower form of Boo or just ignoring any evidence given about Pan's power. Goten/Present Trunks - "#18 is stronger than the Kids. Gohan wasn't serious against Goten." We've all heard this tirade of delusions before. Goten in particular got a lot of flak from Japanese fans when he first appeared just because he looked like Goku. Talk about not giving things a chance. Kuririn - Beyond the whole power debates, people tend to not note how Kuririn is one of the most developed characters in the entire series, even as much as Gohan or Vegeta. He started off as a kid only interested in learning martial arts to get girls, eventually focused more on fighting for Earth's safety and finally got a good wife and family. Piccolo Daimao - Whilst his arc is often praised as the best of part 1, not a lot of people seem to notice his villainy is on par with Freeza's. Rather than controlling everything under him, Daimao was the only villain who wanted humanity to destroy itself under total anarchy. This act of making people bring out the worst from within themselves is a great villainous quality that not many other DB Villains accomplished. |

Overrated is Vegeta. Although I guess it hard to objectively judge something subjective. |
