I feel Vegeta should get his very own spin-off. After all, he is the most popular character in North America and second most popular character in Japan (behind Goku). One idea for a spinoff would be about his life before Earth. Vegeta would be the cynical, ruthless, and calculative elitist who is seemingly avoid of any kindness and compassion like how he was in the Saiyan/Namek Saga. Nappa would be the thuggish bodyguard like he was in DBZ and the glue that holds the three Saiyans together. Raditz would serve as comic relief... he admires the elite Saiyans so he tries to be like him but he's really a low-class warrior and such as, he mocked by Vegeta and Nappa due to his low battle power (for a Saiyan) and his cowardice in the face of death even branding him the nickname "Crybaby Raditz-chan". It'll probably be a senien so there can be a lot of politics and such involved. A lot of aspects Vegeta can be (even further) touched upon. What do you guys think? Should he get a spin-off and if so, what do you think it should be about? |

I'd be all for a limited series, something like 6-12 episodes. I love Vegeta, bit I don't know if I could take that mug on a full time basis. A story about his childhood with Freeza would be cool, with him being sent off on missions and stuff. Like, expanding on his small moments in the Bardock special. |

I'll just sum up my thoughts from F. Vegeta prior to the end of the Boo arc was a bad person. Maybe not a true villain, but he wasn't a nice guy, which is pretty necessary for any story. You need a protagonist for the audience to relate to, and Vegeta is not a protagonist, especially not during his tenure under Freeza. That's when he was at his worst and took joy in being malicious and sadistic. A show during the current period wouldn't work either because we already have one, even if Vegeta isn't the central focus of it. |
