This is a casual RPG experience, but once you get the hang of it, you should be fine, just make sure to read through everything.

Stats

Your roleplaying character is made up of 5 stats that define his or her capabilities.

Powerlevel
Strength
Ki
Agility
Defense
Will

Powerlevel is the overall power of your character. It can be used as a decent gauge to measure whether or not your character will stand a chance against another fighter. It is the combined force of your strength, ki, agility, and defense.

This might seem complex but when you create your character you will determine your stat ratios. The meaning is simple, you determine what percentage of your powerlevel your Strength, Ki, Agility, and defense make up. It will make more sense with an example.

Character A has a powerlevel of 5000, and they have the following stat ratios Strength - 40%, Ki - 15%, Agility 30%, Defense - 15%

So his strength would be 2000, his Ki and defense would be 750, and his Agility would be 1500.

-----------------------------------------------

Strength is the physical power of your character. It is used to determine how much damage your physical attacks do. To calculate the damage of your physical attacks take half of your strength minus half of the opponents defense.

So in the case of Character A fighting an exact duplicate of himself, it would be 1000 - 375 = 625 damage.

-----------------------------------------------
Ki is the spiritual power of your character. It is used to determine how much damage your ki attacks do. To calculate the damage of your Ki attacks take half of your ki minus 25% of the opponents the opponents defense, as Ki attacks are by their very nature, energy, and thus more difficult to block. Certain Ki techniques will have damage modifiers to show the difference between weaker techniques and stronger techniques.

-----------------------------------------------
Agility is the quickness of your character. The character with higher agility will always act first in combat and for each 500 points of agility you have more than your opponent you may take an extra action in combat, up to a maximum of three extra actions.
-----------------------------------------------

Defense is the resilience of your character. All damage against your character will be lowered by a minimum of 25% of your defense. While actively blocking, damage will be lowered by a minimum of 50% of your defense.
-----------------------------------------------
Will is your character's resolve to keep fighting. It can not be increased through training, but an admin may decide to increase your will if you show exceptional roleplaying skills. Will is a stat primarily used in combat while you are losing. A character that is losing a fight might have the admin referee tell them that their willpower is activated. Will increases your powerlevel by a percentage equal to your will when it is activated. Some characters, such as humans, are capable of activating Will when they see fit.

-----------------------------------------------

Training

Training is the primary method of becoming stronger. Training is measured in paragraphs and then approved by an moderator.

1-3 Paragraphs: +3000 Powerlevel and .5 TP
4-6 Paragraphs: +8000 Powerlevel and 1 TP
7-10 Paragraphs: +15000 Powerlevel and 2 TP
11+ Paragraphs: +25000 Powerlevel and 5 TP

Admins may decide to give you bonus powerlevel or stat gains for exceptional roleplaying.

------------------------------------------------

Fights are how your character can settle disputes and gain a lot of power quickly. Fights are extremely fast paced and every post in a fight represents only a small fraction of time. Fights are measured in rounds (Every page in the fight is considered 1 round) and each round increases the amount of power a character will get from finishing the fight.

The winner of the fight may decide to spare or kill the loser. Killing an innocent fighter will mark your character as evil. Killing an evil character will mark your character as good.

The winner receives 1000 Zeni and 5000 Powerlevel for every round of combat. As usual, an admin may give you more or less depending on how rich your roleplaying was.

The loser receives 3000 Powerlevel for every round of combat.

-----------
Sparring

Sparring is a type of fight in which there is no killing allowed. It is a friendly bout between rivals so that both parties become stronger. Every round in a spar gives 3500 powerlevel to everyone involved.
-----------

Up to 4 people may be in a spar and up to 6 can be involved in a fight.

-----------

Technique Points are what you use to learn new powers, you can find more information about them in the Techniques section.
