I. No Going Back Now She’d made it… At least, she could only hope she had. Her vision was blurry, her consciousness swimming as instinct told her she needed to get to safety - and quickly. But everything in her burned with the need to know that after all of this time, she had finally come one step closer to finding him. “A-Ai...de..n.” II. Deja Vu: Rendezvous "How do I get you out of this?" "How are you even standing?" Reina's dark eyes settled on him, one arm balanced on her bent knee. If she felt anything, it didn't reflect on her face. "Maybe we could save that line of questioning for when we have time to spare. I'd like to get you out of here before whoever put you in this mess gets back." III. A Whole Year In A Day "You must really...truly want to die." The resulting boom could be heard from every corner of the chamber as Reina knelt down and grabbed Zormos by the shirt and hoisted him up like he weighed nothing. Her red aura flickered as she planted her foot in his chest and sent him flying back through the door he'd tried to sneak through, tearing it right off the hinges. IV. A Hunting We Will Go “You really think it could work? We could just...hunt them all down and what - wish for my tail back?” It took effort not to let herself get excited at the mere idea that it could be that easy. Up until then, when Reina realized that maybe not even a year of devoted training in the Room of Spirit and Time could restore everything she’d lost, she’d pondered the hope of it one day growing back. It was a rare thing, something she’d only just heard of and never witnessed, but it was a new dimension. Anything was possible now, and restoring what she’d sacrificed to get there was something she had only dreamed was possible. V. Undercover “Okay, so we go in there, bust the door open, and take them all by surpri--” Reina began before Aiden shook his head. Clearly he had an objection. “We’re supposed to be incognito. If they hear anything at all or spot something suspicious they’re going to stop the meeting or destroy whatever they’ve got on them or scatter or who knows what. We’ve got to go about this more tactfully, as much as I’d love to watch you kick their ass.” VI. What Once Was Lost It was hard to stand in the presence of the great Earth dragon and not feel completely intimidated by it. Reina's brow lifted, stunned as she glanced sideways at Aiden, that innocent look almost laughable on the ordinarily stoic woman's face. She took half a step forward, looking all that impressive height into the sky. VII. To Infinity “Aiden, wherever you’re at...I’m locked in the Control Room.” Given how easily she could lose her temper, she sounded pretty well put together - for such an embarrassing situation. “Want to see if you can open it from the outside before I break the son-of-a-bitch down?” VIII. Saving the Saiyans - Part 1 “So the Changelings here...aren’t actually called Changelings?” “Nope.” “They’re called...Arcadians?” “Arcosians.” “...But they change shape, have forms...they change. I refuse to call them Arcosians.” IX. Saving the Saiyans - Part II "Oh...shit. The tacheometer...” Reina knew what it was before she sank onto her hands and knees, feeling a darkness looming as she got weaker and weaker, her hands tugging at the concrete. There they were, thousands of them all bundled together with only the glass heads barely showing atop the dusty street. She and Aiden were standing right on top of them... "Run...” she rasped, doing everything she could to pick herself up, but like a fly in a spider's web she knew there was no escaping...She just feared who the blood Ki sucking predator was who'd trapped them. "Run, Aiden...” X. Saving the Saiyans - Finale “Tell you what,” Reina said through grit teeth, her brightly colored eyes turning to that Tuffle doctor when she stepped away from Aiden. “Let us go now, and I’ll leave you the use of your legs.” Despite her haggard breathing, Reina pulled on her binding, finding her well of strength was quickly running dry. XI. One Step Closer to the Edge “Are you going to sniff me out like the dog you are?” Mentik’s laughter echoed from within the darkness where he appeared, the dim light that glimmered down through the hole in the ceiling glinting off of his armor. “I don’t think you know who you’re dealing with, so I’ll give you a chance rethink your decision. Where’s Aiden?” “Are you going to kill me, girl?” “By the time I’m done, you’ll wish I had…” Edited by Reina, Apr 1 2014, 10:19 AM.
