Wasteland
The vast majority of Dark Star is not a flat surface like most moons. Instead, the area has been carved to form many steep hills and jagged cliffs going for unknown miles into the moon's surface. Scouting parties with the power of flight find such an area to be much more tolerable than those who don't; at least until they start disappearing one by one. The wastelands are filled with a large variety of carnivorous monsters that are at constant evolutionary war. This has caused them to generate Ki blasts, flight, poison, EMPs, spikes, armored carapaces, illusions, shapeshifting, and other odd abilities. Though this large variety of monsters has turned many exciting or romantic adventures into horror stories, what's worse still is the theory that these creatures are not as wild as they seem, and are in fact "cattle" to the apex predators, the Ki-devouring Dark Jin.

Ship Graveyard
This mountain of metal is a gathering of all the ships that have crash landed on Dark Star, which is an alarming amount! It seems that something on the moon attracts the ships to this point, or worse . . . something has been collecting them. Although generally a place where you'll only find lesser monsters of the land, there are a few rare survival groups hiding out in ships collected here. Few survive for more than a year.

The Dark Dunes
Although much of the land is rocky, there is a 90 mile by 60 mile stretch of black sand that creates a sort of "desert" on the area, though the sand is made from jagged ore vein rather than rock and is rather uncomfortable. The few survivors who have been to Dark Star and back report strange sightings of the sand moving beneath their ship. This is the exception to the rule, of course, as most ships simply report an S.O.S.

Sector 10
A mockery against the Alpha Collective, "Sector 10" is the name given to the only civilized area on the entirety of Dark Star. The facility is owned by a combination of Durian guards and the intergalactic prisoners they were sent to watch over. Eight months into the project the supply lines stopped coming and four men had disappeared, presumed dead. As their only chance of survival in numbers, the guards released the prisoners. Despite an initial riot, the constant threat of monsters drawn to their foreign Ki signatures forced the groups to a truce and they now hold the together against the living nightmares.

Volcanic Shopping Mall
A bizarre bazaar, this chasm of rock and magma is filled with three Dark-Jin who, when they're not hungry, actually engage in barter. Two of them roughly speak the universal Trade language spoken on all planets, and they have amassed a collection of items and zenni from crashed ships. It is unwise to risk visiting this place more than once, as the inhabitants aren't good at recognizing faces and occasionally eat strangers on a whim. Disappointingly, they have a fair understanding of proper prices for most goods.

Oil Ocean
A massive ocean of oil bubbled from the center of the planet and filled one of the largest chasms, creating a pitch black ocean overnight and forming a chain of islands where all the monsters of the chasm are forced into tight spaces. These islands block the powers of almost every creature in the area and creates a physical cage match for the entire eco-sytem.
