In order to work with the Block bit the first line would need a means of activating it with a block. So something like this: Effect: Activate when you STOP one of your opponent's attacks with a dice roll of 25 or higher or with a Block. At the start of your next turn, you may play one Skill without taking up your turn. If you activated this Skill with a Block, this skill costs 0 KI Points to perform and cannot have its cost increased by your opponent's effects. Costs 1 KI Point. I'd also add a line after the first effect and increase the cost by 1, so it looks like this: Effect: Activate when you STOP one of your opponent's attacks with a dice roll of 25 or higher or with a Block. At the start of your next turn, you may play one Skill without it taking up your turn. You cannot play more than one skill during that turn. If you activated this Skill with use of a Block, this skill costs 0 KI Points to perform and cannot have its cost increased by your opponent's effects. Costs 2 KI Points. Reason being there's a Mastery in Aoyu that already does this effect and making an UNRESTRICTED skill that lets you use the effect of said mastery (albeit not as easily) should have some restriction. I just took a look at the mastery you were referring to and I do see the major concern. That would tip the balance a wee bit admitting. To lay this to rest and to say a word in her defense regarding the cost of the skill at least, what ever the official decision will be, I'll state that she does already have her mastery picked out. Untouchable Mastery [AOYUSUMU, MASTERY] Description: Even an Aoyusumu master whom understands the benefits of a clear mind and timing knows that eventually all combat matters are resolved through landing strikes. Preventing your opponent from landing those strikes will render all their efforts fruitless, and should they ever land a blow, it is important that they do not reap the benefits of their transgression. Effect: Your defensive rolls gain +3 sides. After you STOP an attack, your next defensive roll gains +5 sides instead. Your opponent's attack roll result must be +4 or higher your defensive roll result in order to gain SUCCESSFUL effects with their Advanced Attacks. Your defensive rolls against Signature Techniques gain +5 to the result. Requirements: You must know at least three (3) Aoyusumu attacks and/or skills. Training Days: 4 I can only give you our word that learning a second mastery is not only not in our agenda but would throw us way off track but what ever the official decision on that we'll simply accept. On another note, I do want to make a second last second proposal on the whole "not spending ki for this turn" clause. Alternatively, would you accept the dice roll for not paying for the skill being rolling a defensive roll of 30 or higher? Just a shot in the dark to explore our options here, otherwise what ever the official ruling will be, we'll just run with it. Still a good skill in her case regardless, just to me on my own personal opinion, spending the second ki rather irks me. That would be our main concern. |

He doesn't mean it'd be broken by her grabbing that mastery, he means that the Skill would undermine that mastery if it had a low Ki cost. Still, with Defiant Stance and 1 other block she can use it 3 times for free. (4 times if certain conditions are met). That being said, I could accept 30 or higher. With Aoyu's access to lots of Blocks it's still going to see some use. I should point out that using Impenetrable Stance to STOP an attack would not count as using a Block for the new wording: Effect: Activate when you STOP one of your opponent's attacks with a dice roll of 30 or higher or with a Block. At the start of your next turn, you may play one Skill without it taking up your turn. You cannot play more than one skill during that turn. If you Blocked an attack to activate this Skill, this Skill costs 0 KI Points to perform and cannot have its cost increased by your opponent's effects. Costs 1 KI Points.
