Prison on this planet?; Civilize the uncivilized

The civilization Togashi had seen so far ahead of him before his confrontation of the darkness was little more than a prison. He wasn't excited about seeing the jail but he wasn't stupid. These guys had to have guards and if they had guards he could at least get directions. Or possibly even some help getting where he needed to go. Surely these guys knew more about the planet than he did, right? There was no telling how long they'd been here but he wasn't about to push his luck too much farther than it had gone so far. He wasn't afraid of prisoners, or guns, but he wasn't sure how many of them he could take down before they overwhelmed him, even with his superior strength.

He came down slowly over the wall, looking around as he descended. He saw people running toward him while a few others ran into the facility. He looked around slowly, his eyes narrowing as he took in the sight of guns in the hands of some of them running toward him. He landed calmly and folded his arms over his chest as he took deep breaths slowly. He didn't mind people pointing guns at them, and he wasn't going to start anything. But he wasn't going to take it too well if they shot at him.

"Who the hell are you?" one man asked, rifle leveled at Togashi.

"My name is Togashi Satsu." he responded calmly. "I'm just a little lost and looking for directions."

"We don't take kindly to new people too well. So I think you should just move along and find another way to wherever you're going." another rifleman advised.

"I see. If that's how you all feel I will leave." he said, nodding. "But you should know I'm not afraid of taking the monsters out there. Or you all. And if even one of you fires at me, you will all live to regret it. I have your word I wont be shot in the back as I leave?"

"THERE'S A PROBLEM! MURDER IN THE KITCHEN!" one man shouted as he ran over toward the crowd. "SOMEONE'S BEEN KILLED IN THE KITCHEN!"

"Calm down. Who died?" someone demanded.

"Jones. He had a knife stuck in his back!" he called.

"Murder in a prison? How shocking." Togashi said flatly. "Too bad you don't know who to trust."

"You damned guards killed him!" one of the prisoners shouted.

"Yeah right! He was an annoying asshole just like you! Just shut your mouth before we stick a knife in your back!" a guard responded.

"They admit it!"

"I did not!"

"ENOUGH!" Togashi shouted, his aura flaring up as he stood there, the force of it pushing a few of them back. "You've come this far together, you will not start to fall apart now! I'm neutral. I'll figure it out!"

"You have detective training?" a rifleman asked.

"No. But I can look into it. If you have anyone with medical training we should go check the body." Togashi said, walking toward the facility. "Feel free to keep an eye on me if you want. But everyone should split apart and stay away from everyone else."

"Are we really gonna take that?" someone asked.

"You want to fight someone that can get in here that easy? I don't."

Togashi made his way into the kitchen with an escort from both sides. The local doctor was already checking the body out, inspecting the scene. Togashi's eyes narrowed as he glanced around the room. It was warm, but that was probably because the oven was open. It was off but it was still warm which meant this man was about to cook something when he'd been killed.

"Who's this?" the doctor asked.

"Who turned the oven off? And who else has been in here?" Togashi asked, frowning.

"I turned it off, it was too hot to examine the body. And I'm the only one that's been in here since it was found. The body was found with a knife in it's back, in a puddle of blood. Nothing else around it." the doctor explained.

"Is this place always so messy?" he asked, looking around at the objects on the floor, as well as the items on the counters.

"Sometimes. He was supposed to clean it after cooking tonight." the prisoner escort said. "Why?"

"It looks like this wasn't murder but a strange accident. Unless someone intentionally left it messy." Togashi said.

"You're sure?" the guard escort asked. "You need to be sure we can't afford civil war."

"Yes. Look at everything on the ground. Cutting board so he was about to cut something up. The items that look like they'd be baked are ready on top of the oven, but there looks like some kind of stew there. That means he was chopping something up. And the onions over there have been freshly peeled. This guy likely slipped and fell, knocking something over only to have the knife fall off the cutting board and land in him, blade first. He was probably like this a little while before he was found. Anyone coming in here would have been heard, and if he had been attacked the place would have been bigger. He'd have reached for something to grab, it looks like he slipped and fell. If I'm wrong then the one that found him like this is the murderer."

"Oh?" the guard asked. "Fine. What are you looking for?"

"I'm looking for directions to anything I can use to get off this place." he said.

"There's a ship graveyard to the north, but the place is dangerous anyway. Full of monsters. And none of the ships work. If we had the right tools we could get something rigged up but we don't have anything to weld with or anything else."

"You have directions to this place?"

"No. But we have a wayfinder. You can take it and use it to get there."

"Thank you."

Togashi took another look around the room. There wasn't a sign of a struggle, and if he'd been stabbed in the back he'd have fought back as best he could. This place would have been a worse scenario. But he could use ki, and would have likely obliterated his opponent. He turned to the guard that had spoken to him, and took the wayfinder before he walked away, ready to go find his way off this planet.
