Where’s Aiden? At the moment the crew of the Havoc Perdition were preparing to leave New Vegeta. Various members were doing last minute checks on supplies, loading crates of goods from food to pilfered wares from the Pirate Cove, and making sure everything was secure. Even Ava and Gold - guests that they may be - were pitching in with the final preparations. There was only one simple problem.

Aiden was nowhere to be found.

The Captain pressed a single digit to that scouter he wore in order to contact his missing friend. " Aiden, we're taking off. Where are you? "

The words came from that watch on Aiden's arm. It was only a matter of time before someone noticed his absence. It took longer than he expected, though. Aiden had been gone for about an hour now and had managed to put some pretty good distance between him and the Havoc Perdition. Raising his forearm up to his lips, the hero would press a button on that watch to respond.

"Uh hey, Glacier... about that... I won't be making the take off." Where was Aiden at the moment? In the middle of nowhere central. All around him was a barren and arid landscape with little to no civilization in sight. "I'm looking into something I found at the Pirate Cove. It might take a while, actually. You should probably go on ahead without me. I'll be alright."

Glacier mused it over. What sort of game was Aiden playing? He knew they were on a schedule and that Glacier had promised Gold and Ava a trip back to Earth. Furthermore, Glacier knew Aiden was interested in returning to Earth as well. He claimed to be from there but not from there at the same time (some gibberish about time travel and dimensions again). So where was he? What was so important that drew him away? He didn't like it but he trusted his friend.

" If you're sure. Be careful. "

It was nearly dusk by the time Aiden had reached the place he was looking for. The small settlement known as Rein. He had a high interest in it. After all, it was named for the same thing that Reina herself was named after. In his own world he never had the chance to visit. If nothing else he would have liked to see this one.

There was also the fact that a rumor had drawn him in. There was talk of a small group of people who were well traveled. A band of merchants who went from place to place, planet to planet, shelling out their wares to whoever was needing. It was a pretty nice set up they had. They could purchase unique items from one planet and sell it for more than double the price at another all due to supply and demand. So it was that this group had set up shop in Rein and it was they who Aiden was interested in meeting.

Once in town it did not take him long to find their group. Most of the people in the town were able to point him in the right direction. He arrived to a small outcropping of tents slightly separated from the other housing in the area. They were vibrantly colored, made from the finest materials, and incredibly extravagant in their design. It was a clear sign of wealth. Making his way to the largest one, Aiden stepped inside.

“Ah, a customer. Sorry but we’re just about closed for today. You’ll have to come back tomorrow!” were the first words Aiden heard. He was facing a Bas-jin of medium stature, dressed in purple robes and fluttering about the place picking up wares and putting away stock. Aiden didn’t travel all this way to be patient.

“I’m not a customer.”

“Then all the more reason for you to get out. Shoo, shoo, I’m busy!”

“I’m looking for information on something.”

One of the Bas-jin’s many eyes turned toward him lazily. “Information you say? Well, that’s even more costly than items you know. Depending on what it is you’re looking for.”

Aiden hoisted up the rest chest he had tucked under his arm. Turning it over he brandished a seal along the top - an emblem no doubt marking the owner of the item. “I’m trying to find out what this means. Have you seen this seal before?”

The Bas-jin saw the mark and turned to face Aiden for the first time, giving him his full attention. “Perhaps. I may know the origin of that seal. How much is it worth to you?”

He knew it would come to this. For a brief moment, Aiden thought about forcing the information out of the man. But he had done no wrong. Aiden’s time spent on the outer rim planets was starting to change his outlook. Discarding that idea he looked around the man’s place at the various items before coming up empty. “I don’t have a lot of money but I have skills that could be of use. I’m a pretty okay fighter.”

All three eyes squinted at Aiden. “Pretty okay? And how okay would that be?”

Aiden hesitated. He knew his strength was nothing like it used to be. “Well, I’ve fought beside a Super Saiyan before.” It wasn’t a lie. Not really. Of course, he was nowhere near that power anymore.

“Bah. You expect me to believe that? Super Saiyan. There’s only maybe two born every generation out of millions of Saiyans. Stop pulling my leg. If you’ve got nothing to offer, then get out!”

“Wait! I can prove it. Give me a test of some sort.”

The Bas-jin placed a hand to his chin, considering his options. “Very well, I’ve got a task for you. If you’re not a weakling it should be no problem.” Aiden wasn’t sure he liked the gleam in the man’s eyes. “You know what its like dealing with a herd of exploding Saibamen…?”

The answer was no but somehow Aiden felt like he was about to find out.
