Sunday Hunting

Well it looks as though Sunday hunting may at last, become a legal reality here in Virginia. The Bill allowing it has passed both houses and is on it's way to the gov. It won't do me any good as the company that my hunt club leases the land from has stipulated that, except for specific times, we do not have the use of the land on Wednesdays or Sundays. These days they have reserved for their own uses. Since it is their land, it is their right. I think the Wednesday exclusion does not apply to the first week of general firearms season or to the last two weeks. At any rate, I'm glad my fellow hunters here in the old dominion will have the opportunity to hunt on Sundays.

here in pa, it's the farmers that are against sunday hunting. The game commission is neutral, but the change would have to come from the state legislature. You can still hun fox, coyote, feral hogs, and crows on sunday.
