Governor Rauner has signed Senate Bill 1467 making crossbows a legal archery device for hunting during archery seasons. This is to be effective immediately.

Saw that. Still don't have one, but I have a nice new over and under shotgun up for sale that just might cause me to go out and buy a crossbow. Still plan on using my compound. Something about having to move drawing it back that makes getting that close that much more difficult. I like the challenge.
