As long as there's two people left on the planet, there will always be conflict. These words rang too true, with the mounting tensions between nations growing every day, and arms power growing just as fast, it was inevitable that a war would erupt, and it did. Two small scale battles quickly snowballed out of control, enlisting the aid of allies much bigger than themselves, until the entire world was cast into turmoil, each side a willing participant in a conflict that neither was truly sure how or why escalated to such a grand scale.

Nobody knows who made the first strike, or what really provoked the response, but once the weapons of mass destruction were brought out nobody even managed to care anymore. Smaller countries were glassed almost overnight, while larger ones were dotted with destruction. The face of the planet was forever changed.

Eventually however, humanity re-emerged. Unscarred by what it had survived, yet wary of its own power after such a destructive display. Places that had remained untouched by destruction quickly became the new inhabitant areas for the upper class, while the areas surrounding those were left to be desolate and picked over by the less than fortunate.

Eventually building began, humanity once again began to flourish and with it so did science, technological and biological enhancements were among the first things to be created. Among the first were artificial human, animal hybrids were created, dubbed chimera.
