| [The Eleventh Hour has closed; this message has been left for authenticity of the archive] Welcome to The Eleventh Hour. Although it is doubtful that you are not already aware, TEH is a SWBF2 team. People can join our team by invitation only. You can, however, still join the forums as a visitor, allowing you to post on the forums. Since most of the team are based elsewhere, the forums may not be all that active. It will primarily serve as a focal point for the team on SWBF2. I will try to be around on the cbox whenever possible if anybody wants to contact me. I guess that is all. See you on the forums/battlefront, -Yoda- |

In the light of our recent three victories (5-0 4-0 5-0), it seems Phantom will only put out strong teams against us from now on. This is understandable, since if he doesn't we will win. I welcome the opportunity to beat their best. However, RoR have a lot of newer or inexperienced members. It seems they won't be able to play CMs very much any more. So, I want us to think up some event ideas that we can do instead. I'd say Friendly Matches or Mixed Matches, but the issue with these is that people don't play seriously. Perhaps some variation of a CM or different modes? I don't know. Anyway, I feel bad for these people since I am the one who made a team not a clan. |

We could have a 1 v 1/2 v 2 tournament, or something similar. I don't think a community funmatch or CM like match would be good, they never go smoothly. |

First of all, beating RoR down in their soddy pants is nothing to feel bad about, they absolutely deserve it. They think they're the kings of this game, but we have proved them otherwise. When we were in LF, there was a period when both teams would nearly only pick OP teams. The teams he picked this weekend didn't consist of bad players at all; we're just simply better at teamwork. ALSO, he has closed his clan many times for new players and sent them to LF instead, because he didn't want more "noobs" in his clan, i remember we got about 10 new members in a timespan of a month. Do not feel sorry for them, we're just simply better. On-topic: Maybe we could do a national cup or matches based on national teams? I remember back in the days they used to have different divisions in ASS, sorted after which country one were from. What about creating "sub-clans"/divide players into areas of Europe? Like Scandinavia (Norway, Iceland, Sweden, Finland and Denmark), North-Europe (Netherlands, Belgium, Germany), Great Britain & Eire and then Middle/South-Europe (France, Spain, Portugal, Switzerland, Czech, Poland)? We'd have 4 teams which could battle eachother in a group, like a league. 2 Matches each week, using home and away-servers? We have three servers which have a somewhat different impact on the pings. A win is 3 points and a draw is 1. Standard 5 maps only per match, least 4v4 max 6v6. |

I think Uffe's idea would work nicely About you feeling sorry for them, you shouldn't, lol. It's Phantom's fault if he won't take a team with those new players for playing against us, not your's. You just take the players you have, and as well, about clan-team, it doesn't matter, I mean, where's the fucking difference between a clan and a team? One's free joining other's BIO? Who gives a fuck about that. Since the Team doesn't have players from other Clans, the Team can be called a Clan, since it's the same, lol. |

Uffe's idea sounds fine. I thought at some point that between the clans there could be something similar but not by location. There is no easy way to do this unfortunately. But, say there were 8 teams of 4 or 5. To choose who is in each, we could have the 8 'strongest' players in separate teams. Unfortunately, that is where it fails because this would cause arguments. Then 1 person assigns numbers to each of the players. Then someone or everyone who is in the chatbox takes turns to say a number. i.e. "5" so 5 goes to Team 1, "17" 17 goes to Team 2 etc. Its messy I know. I mean unless you had captains and they could pick players. This would be done in private though because its horrible waiting to be picked :P. Then the names are put in alphabetical order so no one knows they were picked last :). |

Yeah, we used to do that numbering when picking teams for unorganized fun football! Someone would turn their back to everyone and one guy would give everyone a number from 1-x, then the guy with his back turned would call out "1, 5 6 and 8 on that side, rest on other". It's an idea that won't hurt anyone, it'd create great diversion and it would be fun to maybe make some new relations with people you normally don't talk with/dislike. On the other hand, the randomness can be pretty crappy, leaving some teams OP and some underpowered. But all in all, a BIG go from me! The captain-thing ALSO sounds good, we can announce 8 captains in all secrecy with Phantom, and those will pick their team in some secret chat, then we'll announce the teams in alphabetical order. Another good idea. My suggestions for captain's would be: Jack, Phantom, Viddy, Chris, David, Uffe, Nemo / Jesus / Zuntyh (these two first are p.much tired of responsibility i believe, but they're fit for it), Sin, Alex, Cloud, Jo, Elder, Koen, Michael (if he'd be allowed to, that fucking asshole) and Darkhole. Maybe 4 from each clan. In this case we'd also need to seed the remaining players, so one cannot choose 3 "pro/experienced" players. We could combine any of these two ideas with my idea of creating an independent league or maybe group play in the liking of Champions League. Group 1: Team Team Team Team Group 2: Team Team Team Team These teams may have to be seeded after how strong they turn out to be, but if all teams turn out to be equal, we can do a random draw. Each team play eachother twice (home/away), and the same point settings; 3 for win and 1 for draw. If two teams end up with same points score, the number of maps won in the group stage will decide who proceeds. To compare this with football, it'd be "Map won = Goal scored" / "Map lost = Goal against". The top two teams of each group proceed to semi-finals. Team Winner G.1 - Team Runnerup G.2 Team Winner G.2 - Team Runnerup G.1 Bronzefinale X - X Finale X - X Winners will be crowned as the best squad of SWB2. Edited by Uffe, Aug 19 2012, 11:19 PM.

Had this idea last night. Space in a clan match. What? I just said space? Space, space, space, yes. But different. You know the transporter ships? The ones which you can spawn on. Well. 1 team goes to the other's hanger and parks like as far away as possible? The attacking team has like 10 minutes to destroy as much of the insides of the ship as possible, the defending team has to stop them. Then the teams switch to the other ship or just reset map to make it fair? Winner is the team who destroys the most sections. |
