Muscovy, Slavic Empire

Kozlov had prepared for this day over the past few years. So far, the Iron workers, the metal smiths, the miners, railway workers and policemen were on their side. the Merchants were still on the fence, but once they saw their numbers they would fold easily. The march was organised in just a few minutes. The plan was a peaceful march from the outskirts, near the peasantry and their farms, towards the grand Kremlin near the center of the town. Kozlov hoped that if the second largest city in the Slavic Empire demanded change, then perhaps the Tsar would listen. For they had been lower then the Aristocratic for long enough. Now, the time for equality would begin. Or so he hoped.

The march began with only a few dozen men, but as they approached the city square the crowd had grown to tens of thousands. Signs, constructed by various groups, had been dispersed throughout the crowd, with phrases such as: "Bread. Land. Freedom." and "The many over the few". Kozlov, heading the crowd, approached the city center, the major of the town, in addition to the king's representative, stood on a hastily constructed wooden platform, surrounded by soldiers, some armed with assault rifles, some atop horses. The major turned on his microphone.
"Attention Citizens. Return to your homes or face punishment."
The crowd continued to chant phrases against the major, with no signs of dispersing.
"Very Well. Open fire."
The soldiers, previously standing to attention, raised their rifles and opened fire on the crowd. Screams and shouts filled the town square, however curiously, the crowds did not flee. Instead, they appeared to be running towards the soldiers, with many being mowed down by rifle fire. Soon, the soldiers went down, with axes and metal pipes being smashed against their skulls and bodies. The fat major, who almost immediately fled, did not get far, being beaten to death but a hundred meters away.

Within minutes, the atmosphere of the crowd had changed. Instead of a peaceful protest, they had defeated a garrison of troops and taken the second largest city in the Slavic Empire. Kozlov slowly climbed atop the wooden platform previously held by the major and said, slowly, as if still in shock.
"The Revolution has begun!"
