I just read that. Nationals should be interesting this year, especially to see who wins the title! |

I was so sad to hear about Sasha not going to Nats, but still, after I read the article I was happier, she sounds good and hopefully she'll come back from the break better than ever

I would have liked to see Sasha but this "opens the door" as Peggy Flemming would say for Emily, Kimmie, Katy and the rest of the sk8ers for the title - interesting to see who wins

It's disappointing but I was expecting it. Emily and Kimmie have a good shot to medal this year.

I definately think that their is a possibility that either Kimmie or Emily could win. It should be interesting. Kimmie and Emily have both been pretty strong this year. I think the 3rd spot should be intresting because their is Katy Taylor, Alissa Cziny, and Bebe Liang either of them could pull it off. |

i think Emily and Kimmie will be the top two. I'm hoping Katy works out her boot problems to take third. I am also hoping fourth goes to Rachael Flatt, Megan Hyatt, Alisa Czisny, or Bebe Liang |

I'd really rather have Katy place, rather than Alissa. Why? Because so many people despise Kimmie because she beat Sasha at Worlds. Everyone knows this, but no one admits it. I hope that Kimme and Emily will place, though. I think they will. =) |

I love Sasha but I have heard she is all about "winning", at least in terms of her own happiness about an event. Irina was supposedly the same way. But since Sasha has already "won" Nationals, maybe that was an additional motivation to not bother attending? That and risking a loss due to lack of serious practice due to her acting stint. Will Sasha attend Worlds? She previously has only Silver, and most recently, Bronze. And she will again have to compete with the obscenely high scoring Japanese. And Kimmie, LOL. She really messed up that 2006 Worlds Free Skate, argh. So much ability and beauty, marred by inconsistency. I wonder if the 2006 Worlds mistake really helped push her off into acting. IMO, what a tragic waste of ability. I never believed she reached her peak, I always hoped she could just put in the work to find that extra consistency, and become truly dominating. I guess I can't harp too much, cause I'm very gratification-oriented and impatient like she is, type T personality or something. Still isn't the same without Michelle and Sasha to watch though... but Emily makes me feel better about it. P.S.: Kimmie beat Sasha, but so did Fumie Suguri. Ultimately, Sasha lost to Sasha at Worlds, no one else. So it's hard to resent Kimmie that much. Besides, she's too adorable... |
