I've looked at various previews, clips, and reviews of the new skating comedy with Will Farrell. I am sure some of it is funny, though I get the feeling it has alot of juvenile toilet humor and the such. Most comedy today is base and vulgar--not like the early funny stuff of long ago or even of Sat Nite Live from 10-15-20 yrs ago. I would never support anything produced by M-TV [ MAGGOT-TV ] owned by VIACOM, called ViaCOMMIE by some. I love music, I review music occasionally--jazz, blues, pop, World, Gospel, Rock, etc., but even ROLLING STONE wrote how MTV ruined music, ruined radio, censored good music, promoted the worst rock and metal back 25 yrs ago and censored most Black Music--Soul, Blues, Jazz, Gospel. When blacks cried out CENSORSHIP, MaggotTV started putting on horrible ugly hateful sexist GANGSTER RAP videos and the rest is history. They rarely play music now, and VOMIT HITS-1 is a platform for some vulgar, trash game shows and other junk. My opinion! No wonder much of the world hates us--they see this garbage on the satellite and think the West is all about a drunken, violent, loud orgy. Anyway I hope the movie treats skating and skaters positively. From what I've seen they just use standard stereotypes and show very little real creativity.... |

Hmm. Well. I don't go to many movies, I don't like Will Farrell nor the braindead comedies out nowadays. Blades of Glory looks to be exactly that, and given that Sasha Cohen only has a bit part, I am not going to bother with it. I will probably go to see Moondance Alexander, though. I was just bored the past couple days and watching some tapes of 2002 events. I miss Sasha's skating. I wonder if she will be able to pull it together and win the 2010 Olympics, or at least a Worlds between now and then. Hopefully the acting stint will just be a nice break rather than a career-killer.

A small part, indeed. About 3-4 seconds, if I remember correctly. |
