An interesting analysis of what classes and specs are involved in high end raids.

It's a bit sad how they've managed to successfully manipulate raiders to gravitate towards rogues with the legendary and strategic loot tables in FL and DS. I believe it was the least represented class in T11 raiding, there's now more rogues accounted for than all 5 plate dps specs combined. They achieved what they set out to, I suppose.

What betting on a warlock only legendary in t15? ;)

wow, thats ridiculous.

I'd imagine that's the reason for the warlock overhaul in MoP then.

I think the DK numbers are the most surprising, The fact blood is more popular then the other tanks isnt that shocking but the gap is pretty big and I would have thoughts the dps specs would have been much closer with unholy slightly ahead.

Bear in mind given the ilevel requirement most of those tracked are probably in heroic raiding. Given that its a tier that highly favours burst, any smart DK at the high end would be predominantly playing Frost. It's not a tier that favours specs with a ramp up time and especially not melee with a ramp up time who are probably in the category of least desirable of the least desirable.
You'd see a lot more Unholy at the lower end of things thinking their damage padding is amazing.

Just comes to show unlike Druids Paladins still get casted into healing more then anything, and the highest healing class closely followed by shamans. Just shows Paladins are best healers :P

I suspect that the easier to play classes would have higher numbers, and also the over powered, like pallys and resto shamies... giggle. Considering Shammies haven't been in the game since the start that's quite a lot.
The debates me and Fodger used to have with Mobe, regarding Healing Rain > Efflor and she would never except it.

hehe is one major upside to healing rain tho and that its placeable so you can cast it to where we people will group up where as efflor comes from the targeted person so need to gauge where they are anyway i no idea why I'm typing this holy radiance is better then both of them xD

Seems to me the 'bring player not class' went out the window for Hc DS raiding. I saw DK were by far most popular class for tanking and warrior least. Makes me feel less useless but more annoyed.

I suspect its prob worth tanks having 2 optional classes if this goes on (hoping that warriors might get an advantage over others at some point).

The "bring the player not the class" philosophy has fallen flat on its face and honestly I can't see how things have changed very much since wrath. The ranged favoured mechanics remain, we saw the difference doing yorsahj and hagara with a dk made and again on spine with healing comp this week.
Even on normal runs we used to have alt runs getting disrupted on blackhorn because we had too many melee, when madness was progress we used a paladin tank to fudge a mechanic which warriors and dks couldn't do. Class problems pop up all the time.
