Thats just the way E3 is these days, they care more about 'Entertainment Apps' than games.

Halo, Splinter Cell, Tomb Raider, Resident Evil and South park all looked good.

Fully expecting Nintendo to put Microsoft and Sony to shame.

On gametrailers there was a real time poll to vote on what you thought of the show.

Main problem I see is, people that tune into things like E3 are generally 'hardcore gamers' and sadly thats just not the target audience for Microsoft/Sony/Nintendo anymore.

Yeah the only things that interested me there were Halo, Splinter Cell and Tomb Raider and I will probably get two of them on Playstation.

Sonys prime focus is usually on the core gamer, they have the other stuff but never have them as their highlight.

And the South Park rpg might be interesting, the Tomb Raider one looks like a tacky clone of uncharted and ditto Halo to Metroid Prime.

yeah hopefully the fact that the Move hasn't been as big as the kinect means they might focus more on games.

And in fairness Uncharted is a Tomb Raider clone.

Wouldn't say it was a clone, Tomb Raider copied the Indiana Jones setting so it wasnt original to begin with and Uncharted did something similar along the same lines. The whole high octane surviving by your fingertips against the elements business in the new TR seems a far more direct act of thievery!

Well maybe not a clone but definitely heavily influenced!

That THQ guy seemed pretty competent which is good as say have the 40k license (play space marine btw) which is one of my favorite IPs.

I liked the look of Beyond, The Last of Us and maybe Playstation All Stars from Sony. Watch dogs looks interesting too.

The playstation plus changes are interesting, not sure on those.

I missed most of the watchdogs stuff so I will need to take a look at that.

Star Wars 1313 looked interesting as well, the brief game play I saw reminded me a lot of climbing up the train in Uncharted 3 which is a good sign.

Overall I thought Sony did alright the only bad part was the book, I'm not even sure why they showed that tbh stuff like that has a market but they are not the sort of people who watch E3.
