Faceless Release Date Pushed Back

Posted by Manio (Developers) at Nov 10 2012, 12:16 AM. 0 comments

If some of you have been paying attention to the Faceless page over on Moddb, you may notice that the release date has been changed from Q1 2013 to TBD. I'm going to explain the reasons as for why the release date has been pushed back, so please bear with us.

- Dealing with the option holder/Victor Surge to the get the game greenlit is proving to be a hassle.

- We still have a ton of work to put into Faceless, and we'd rather have a stable and working game for you guys instead of releasing a glitchy, and broken experience in December for closed beta testers.

- Our team has significantly dropped to becoming a smaller, and more organized team. We're working hard on getting the maps looking fancy, and ready to go as well as programming and other tasks needing to be done.

So no worries! Faceless will still be released, but the release date has been pushed back. People who donated for the closed beta will still get in when that time comes. Don't you worry.

Community Game Night: Primal Carnage

Our next game night will be all about eating each other, and killing each other. One team as dinos, the other as Mercenaries. Good thing the teams switch out, so we'll have a ton of variety. This is the first community game night to be planned a couple of months ahead, as the release of Primal Carnage hasn't been announced, but this is essentially for planning the next game night.

The weekend of the game release we'll be playing this game as a community. But for now, let's plan. I have the pre-order on Steam and I'm sure Ninonybox does as well. If you guys want to participate in the next event, you'll need this game. So go pre-order it now and Steam and get this awesome pre-order incentive!

Yeah, if you pre-order you get a Feathered Raptor skin. Looks cool!

Still curious about the game? Here's some more details pulled from the website, as well as the trailers they've released.

Primal Carnage is an online multiplayer shooter that will engross its players in skilled PVP combat, team-based strategy and savage class-oriented matches unlike any you've previously experienced; be it an armed human mercenary or a cunning dinosaur, Primal Carnage is sure to unleash the inner beast in anyone who seeks to survive amongst the fittest.

• Five large, open environments in which to team up and take down the human
or dinosaur competition online

• 10 playable classes (five human, five dinosaur) each with unique skills and abilities that
can trump each other in a rock-paper-scissors fashion

• Play from both first-person (humans) and third-person (dinosaurs) perspective

• Multiple achievements, unlockables and planned DLC

NOTE: Amazon payments are batched and STEAM keys sent via email within 24 hours.

Slender: Source Renamed Faceless

So, I recently changed the name of Slender: Source to the Operator, due to suggestions from the development team. Unknown to myself the name had actually been copyrighted by Marble Hornets and we've yet again been forced to change the name of the mod again, which frustrates me beyond no end and kind of makes me want to stab someone, with my Slendy tentacles.

Either way, the new name is "Faceless" and we aren't budging from that name. It describes Slenderman, and you know details the fact of him having no face. I do apologize for the name changes, as it really hurts me but the community didn't like the name "The Operator" and I want to provide for the community, and it's copy-righted.

From here on in, Slender: Source will be named "Faceless".
