Teamspeak 3 Guide
Made by Jelle

So as most of you already know: teamspeak 3 is one of Euphoria's requirements. If you are unable to connect to our teamspeak or you were to lazy to download, than you will be cutted.
This guide will not explain how you solve all kinds of problems when connecting to teamspeak, it will only tell you how to do the basics. If you have any more questions or problems with teamspeak, you can pm a leader or an official and than we'll try to solve it.

Table of Contents
  1. Downloading
  2. Installing
  3. Connecting
  4. Bookmarks
  5. Teamspeak Ranks

1. Downloading

Downloading should be the easiest proces of teamspeak because all you have to do is click 1 button.
Go to www.teamspeak.com and look at the top for downloads, click it and choose Teamspeak 3. If you do this you should see this:
Spoiler: click to toggle

Most people use Windows so don't bother paying attention to Linux or Mac.
To know how many bits your computer has: go you 'My Computer' and press the right mouse button and click on 'Properties' than a new window should pop up telling you what things your computer has. Here is an example:
Spoiler: click to toggle

I know the words are in dutch but that's because my computer is dutch to D: . As you can see my computer has 32-bit, so I should download the first.
Note: I'm not sure if this 'checking'-method also works for Mac/Linux users.

2. Installing

Also an easy part that doesn't need much explaination. If you have downloaded the correct Teamspeak than the installation should not have any errors. If you're sure that you've downloaded the right one and it's still not working than I should suggest pming an official so we can try and work it out.
Just keep clicking on continue and eventually you'll be directed to the end. When the installation is complete, open up the program so the Setup Wizard can be done.

Setup Wizard:
This program will pop up when you use your teamspeak for the first time. This will allow you to set things like a nickname or it can active your microphone and many other things. It's easy to go trough and it will not take long. Please use your current RSN as your nickname. It will make everything a bit more organized.
Just keep going trough the wizard and eventually you'll be done. If you want to edit things when you've already completed the Setup Wizard than look at the top for 'Settings' -> 'Setup Wizard'.

3. Connecting

Connecting to teamspeak without bookmarks isn't a commonly used tool because most people will just use bookmarks since it's much handier. However it could happen that we need to hop to a public teamspeak (e.g. for the MK tournament, ...). This way it's much faster to connect to another teamspeak instead of just retyping everything.
When you open Teamspeak 3, look at the top and search for 'Connections' click it and choose 'Connect'. If you've done this than this window should pop up:

Ofcourse my information is already filled in. Just remember to use your current RSN as a nickname, make sure you use the correct IP and Port. An example for this could be 'www.google.be:9999' or it could also be done with IP's like '131.55969.548:9997'. These are NOT real Teamspeak 3 servers so don't try to connect to them. Our teamspeak information can be found in this topic. But as I said only use this way of connecting when connecting to a server that you won't use that often.

4. Bookmarks

As I already said bookmarks are the most usefull things in Teamspeak 3. By just 1 easy click you are able to connect to a server.
If you want to make a new bookmark you open Teamspeak 3 and click on top on 'Bookmarks' and you click on 'Manage Bookmarks' (another way of opening this is pressing ctrl+b).
If you do this correctly, this should pop up:
Spoiler: click to toggle

So if you want to add a new bookmark you click on 'Add Bookmark'. Fill in the information and click on OK. If you go back to the mainpage of Teamspeak 3 the server should appear when you click on 'Bookmarks'. Like this:

Click on it and you will connect to that server.

5. Teamspeak Ranks

When you join our teamspeak a rank should be assigned to you. With this rank you can do everything in the channel a normal member should (moving down channels, poking, talking, ..). When you do not have this rank (could be because you are using another computer), you should PM an official and they will give it to you.
Without an EU teamspeak rank you are not able to move down which means you will not fight.

I hope this guide was a bit helpful and hopefully new members find this guide good.
If you still have any questions about Teamspeak 3 in general or about this guide, then please post.
