It is with a heavy heart that I pen the following message.
It is with no doubt that our great fan base in the EWS World have noticed the recent problems with EWS Programming. Cancelled shows, missed television, delay after delay. The truth is, the loss of our good friend Rick Leban hit us harder than expected and sent shock waves throughout EWS. It was not only a major hit to our management, but also to staff and wrestler morale.
In addition to the loss of Rick, the executives at
rEVOLUTION Wrestling have decided for their own reasons, to cease operations with the recent airing of their June 10th Adrenaline TV episode. All contractual rEVOLUTION Wrestling dates have been met and all future shows have been cancelled with ticket buyers being refunded at point of sale. EWS wishes all rEVOLUTION Wrestling Staff, Wrestlers and Executives the best in their future endeavours.
With this recent change, the executives at
Alternative Xperience Wrestling have also given notice to Excelsior Sports and Entertainment that they will not be renewing their leasing agreement with EWS and will be branching off once again as an independently owned and operated entity. EWS wishes everyone at AXW the best in their future and nothing but success in everything they do.
This left EWS, exactly how it started. With one brand,
Premiere League Wrestling. Excelsior Sports and Entertainment considers it an honour to bring you great fans the BEST wrestling product on the market. And with the recent happenings in EWS, the executives at Premiere League Wrestling have made the decision at this time to cease all wrestling operations, and reboot their product. This ceasing of wrestling operations will be for an undetermined amount of time. The operational plan being discussed will be to reorganize and relaunch at an undecided date and time in the future, much how EWS started, as one unified brand.
As such, The executives at EWS will be holding one final pay per view on July 19 called
AXW: RISE! This PPV will serve as a relaunch of the independent AXW brand, as well as a final EWS PAY PER VIEW, for the time being. The RISE PPV card will act as a continuation of the AXW brand, as well as a closure episode of EWS Wrestling Television. The card is as follows...
