Welcome to Expelliarmus. We hope you enjoy your visit.

Expelliarmus is a Harry Potter AU RP set in a world where none of the characters of the books have existed. Instead, the story is driven forward by original characters, as they attend Hogwarts and uncover its secrets. We offer our players the opportunity to live the lives of wizards and witches without Harry and his friends, so they can make their own legend without relying on his story. You may play at ay year and as any house, or even a teacher, and as people graduate, more opportunities will arise, eventually making the world even vaster than it already is. Do homework, gain friends, duel and play Quidditch. All is possible in the world of Magic!

It was a cold day this December morning. Damian Brady, a sixth year Hufflepuff student, was changing from his school to his Quidditch uniform in the Hufflepuff changing rooms. He was alone, it seemed, which did not surprise him, as most had gone away for their Christmas holiday. Usually he would have returned for Christmas, but he had decided to try and see how wizards celebrated the holiday, you know, out of common curiosity. That, and he wanted to try out his birthday present, a Nimbus 2001. the model was slightly old by now, but still a top class racing broom. He had not been able to try it out since he returned to Hogwarts, because he had been busy hanging out with fiends he had not seen over the break, and as such, he wanted to use this chance, when everyone were gone anyway, to do some training on his new broom. Grabbing the broom after fastening his Quidditch arm pads, he went out into the Quidditch pitch.

It was almost eerily silent, only the wind could be heard out here. Smiling to himself, he swung his leg over the shaft of the broom and pushed off the ground, quickly placing his feet on the rests at the back end of the broom, just before the fibers and zoomed into he sky. With him, he had brought a strangely shaped ball, a Quaffle, which he would use to practice for a while. He might as well get something out of trying out his new broom.

Flying towards a group of hoops placed on long posts, Damian flung the ball into the hoop, zoomed around and caught it, before throwing it into another hoop. After catching it the second time, he stopped and smiled to himself. This broom was so smooth and fast. It was amazing. The Cleansweep he had been flying previously just did not cut it when compared to this. Throwing the ball into the air, Damian then swung his arm and sent it towards the third hoop with a well placed hit of his palm.

Emily Cresswell let out a deep sigh and tightened the yellow- and black-colored scarf around her neck a bit as a cold wind hit her in the face. It really was a cold morning, the female thought with a light shiver, glad that she had decided to wear both a hat and a scarf just before she had left the common room. Hiding her bare hands in the long sleeves of her cloak Emily rushed over the wet grass, silently praying for her shoes to stay dry.
It was still early so there weren't many students around. Well, there weren't many around no matter what time of the day it was, seeing as it was Christmas break and most students had returned home to celebrate with their families. Not Emily though. Her and a bunch of other students had decided to spend the holidays at the school, all for different reasons. The girls' reason however wasn't dramatic nor particularly exiting – it was simple curiosity. How did wizards and witches celebrate Christmas? So far she hadn't been disappointed. The Great Hall was filled Christmas trees and decorations, and everywhere candles were floating in the air, creating a cozy atmosphere for the students and teachers.

Emily had been walking for a few minutes when six tall rings slowly became visible in the distance. They were a part of the schools' Quidditch field, the goals to be more specific, and this was where the girl was headed. She was awful at flying at brooms and there most likely wouldn't be other students as the Quidditch practice wouldn't start up until after the holidays, but to be honest she was perfectly happy with this as she used the empty field to practice her spells. It was a bit embarrassing, but she would rather practice alone for a few hours now and then, than screw up in class and probably make something explode. However this happiness didn't last long, because as soon as she had reached the field and had taken out her wand to start practicing, she heard something above her which caused her to look up. Apparently Emily wasn't the only one who wanted to take advantage of the empty field, because above her flew a person around and seemed to be practicing Quidditch. Oh great, the female thought while sighing loudly, now she had to go somewhere else...

Elisa Willow

Elisa burrowed her head deep in her scarf as she looked around her surroundings. Despite nearing the end of December snow had not yet fallen. Such a pity, she thought. She had left the comfortable warmth of the fireplacein the Slytherin common room in order to get away from the obnoxious first years bragging about their presents. She had hoped it would snow while she wandered about, as she enjoyed the feeling of remoteness it gave her. It’s not like she had anything better to do either. Both her parents worked for the Ministry of Magic and never had time for any celebration in the holidays. For that reason she had stayed at Hogwarts during Christmas since her first year. She didn’t mind that anymore, though. Being with her classmates in a place she liked was just as enjoyable as being with her parents.

Without thinking Elisa had followed a small path which lead her to the Quidditch field. She didn’t particularly care about sports but she liked a bit of competiveness from time to time. No-one really came here when it wasn’t in use either, so it could be considered the perfect spot to gather your thoughts.
Steadily she made her way to the audience towers around the pit. She might be able to get a good view of the school grounds from there. She had never been really confident using them, though. Who knew how old that wood was? It could probably fall apart at any moment now…

Before climbing the stairs she finally realized the boy flying meters above her. She chuckled quietly. Apparently she hadn’t been the only one who wanted to enjoy some undisturbed time. For some time Elisa just stood there watching him, smiling to herself. It looked like he was having a good time.
