Section 1: Introduction and application I. The Pact of Rowan is a gaming alliance that is dedicated to creating a quality family gaming experience across multiple games and platforms. Our core values dictate that we strive to provide an atmosphere rich in self-respect, tolerance and acceptance of all people. As such; every member, be they enlisted or officer, are expected to abide by the Pact's Code of Conduct. II. This code is applicable in-game, in chat and on the forums. Section 2: Acceptance I. Please review the code of conduct below. If you agree to abide by the conditions set forth in said code of conduct, post a reply which will constitute your binding agreement to abide by the conditions set forth within. II. If the contents of this code of conduct are modified an edited stamp will appear on the post. Your continued acceptance of said code of conduct will be implied unless another post is added with a direct refusal and a message to an alliance officer is issued with the reasoning behind the refusal. Section 3: Racism I. Racism is not tolerated in any form in the Pact of Rowan . No alliance member will make offensive derogatory remarks about any other: person, gender, race, religion or creed. Section 4: Respect I. All members of the Pact of Rowan are expected to act respectfully toward other alliance members and players, regardless of personal preference or past encounters. II. Interrupting a person while speaking is considered disrespectful both to the offended party and any other persons privy to the conversation. It is understood that the nature of online communication does include latency in respect to talk time. Be considerate when multiple people are talking. III. Do not disrupt an official alliance meeting Section 5: alliance Structure, Branches and Authority I. The Pact of Rowan follows a military style ranking structure in which members advance themselves by showing initiative and through acts of distinction. Each rank carries with it a certain level of responsibility and also a certain level of expected maturity and decorum. II. While all alliance members are expected to show respect to every player, a certain level of deference should be afforded to alliance members.
III. Higher ranking alliance members may attempt to encourage teamwork by assigning goals and creating squads. No alliance member is required to participate in these teambuilding exercises however it is encouraged for personal growth. ALL IN-GAME EXERCISES ARE VOLUNATRY IN NATURE.
VI. alliance members of higher rank should help moderate chat, with the goal of keeping said chat within the guidelines of this code of conduct.
Section 6: Activity I. All members should put forth their best effort to remain active in game. We do understand that life happens and that sometimes it is impossible to join game or scheduled activities for a while, however please inform an alliance officer if this is the case. If you are unable to make an online appearance please log into the forums regularly. II. All members should log into the forums no less than once per week to check current updates and polls. Post in the "roll call" topic at least once per week to be counted as active on the forums. III. Life happens, we understand.
