The most important part of your progression in this RP is EXP, MP and Jewels. What are they you ask? Well I'll start with EXP. EXP or XP for short means experience. As you progress through the RP you will gradually gain XP. Different things within the RP grant you different amounts of XP. Post: 100 XP D-rank request: 500 XP C-rank request: 1000 XP B-rank request: 2500 XP A-rank request: 5000 XP S-rank request: 7500 XP SS-rank request: 10,000 XP 10 year request: 12,000 XP 100 year request: 15,000 XP More on ranks here Essentially XP determines the level of your character, the power, the amount of spells etc, etc. MP however is a different story. MP is the amount of magic that your character has access to. The more MP your character has the more spells they can use and as such the more powerful they themselves will become. The amount of MP required to use spells varies. D-rank: 10 MP, 5 MP sustain cost. C-rank: 20 MP, 10 MP sustain cost. B-rank: 30 MP, 15 MP sustain cost. A-rank: 40 MP, 20 sustain cost. S-rank: 50 MP, 25 sustain cost. X-rank: 75 MP, 30 sustain cost. Z-rank: 100 MP, 40 sustain cost. Legendary: 200 MP, 50 sustain cost. Now you're probably wondering how it is you can gain MP right? Well the answer is simple really. You need to be in topics! A completed topic (not a request) will grant you 1 MP. This means that everything is wrapped up in the topic and it's finished. However if a topic extends past 3 posts for everybody involved and is killed by somebody who isn't you you're still eligible for MP gain as well as XP gain (regardless of the 3 post each rule.) If this is the case everybody involved except the person responsible for ending the topic still gains the 1 MP although it is optional to continue and skip the person if it involves more than two people. In addition if it is a D.E.T (Death Enabled Thread) and a combat topic the person can die or be horribly injured. If they're not mauled they can still return to the topic or restart the topic. If it is finished they also gain the 1 MP. Another way to gain MP is to train a spell. If a spell is mastered you will gain 1 MP, two if the spell is one rank above your character. However your character will automatically gain MP as they gain ranks. D-rank: 100 magic. C-rank: 150 magic. B-rank: 200 magic. A-rank: 250 magic. S-rank: 300 magic. X-rank: 400 magic. Z-rank: 500 magic. Legendary: 600 magic. Obviously your magic will be higher than the magic shown as you will have done topics and that is by no means the limit. That is merely the base magic that you will have at that rank meaning that if you trained no spells and did no topics (totally pointless) that is the amount of magic you will have. It essentially means that if your magic isn't that high already it will be boosted up to that. Now for Jewels. They make the world go 'round. Well, not really but that's irrelevant. What they are if the form of currency used in the Fairy Tail RP. They allow for people to purchase items such as weapons or vehicles to be used. They can also be used to buy Lacrima and even magic. Jewels are given as a reward for completing a request. Each request has a different reward for its completion although this can vary from request to request as it is based on difficulty. D-rank request: 2500-5000 Jewels. C-rank request: 6000-10,000 Jewels. B-rank request: 11,000-15,000 Jewels. A-rank request: 20,000-50,000 Jewels. S-rank request: 75,000-120,000 Jewels SS-rank request: 150,000-300,000 Jewels. 10 year request: 500,000-750,000 Jewels. 100 year request: 800,000-1,000,000 Jewels. So essentially XP, MP and Jewels are just three separate rewards that determine the power of your character, the strength of a spell and the quality of an item.
