Character Application So, you have read the rules, have a bunch of tabs open and are preparing to write your character. Here's how the process works, and what kind of content standards you should expect. Firstly, after you post your character, it needs to be approved by staff before you can start RPing. When your character gets approved, you will also be given a set of stats - these will be the starting stats of your character, and the staff makes them to the best of their ability while trying to adhere to the description you gave of your characters combat style. Once the stats are given to you, you cannot change their initial outlook; the basics must be the same. You are, however, entitled to change the title of any trait, technique or custom status effect in your stats, within reason. Staff retains the right to strip you of this name-changing right if they feel you are unable to keep it serious. Combat & Abilities When you write the combat section of your application, there are a few things to bear in mind. First and foremost, detail. The more detail you have regarding your abilities, the easier of a time the staff will have in making stats that reflect your character. As a rule of thumb, more depth in the abilities will also result in deeper or more complex stats, and the more you describe them, the more control you have over the stats you will be receiving. Also, if you are striving to make an elementally-based ability, please define it more clearly than "manipulation of element X". It is a lazy way of building abilities, it's overused, and it doesn't give the staff much to work with. A good example of a clearly defined elemental ability is that of Gray Fullbuster. Keep in mind that certain types of magic are limited or banned at this time. Banned magic includes the following.
In the case of dragonslayer magic, there can be only one dragonslayer of each element at once. Refer below to the list of available and taken elements.

And that's about it! |
