| General: Omid is what could be considered the perfect man for many a woman- if he would actually be willing to try. The massive Qunari stands at a tremendous size of seven foot two inches, to call him large by his species would be accurate- though he is not truly "monstrous" by their standards, just a bit bigger than usual. Two massive horns curl back from his forehead, letting long curly black locks roll down to about the middle of his back- though he bares no scar's or markings, his horns hold the look of oddly enough- being shaved down and trimmed neatly to a manageable size.
He is build like a Tank in every aspect of the world, however he acts not like a trained warrior- but more like someone that just got into the occasional brawl, and works out. He has no actual skill, his movements and build makes this apparent as he is incredibly strong looking- but without the technique and skill to back it up he is rather helpless. This aside, the man has a look in his eye that would put most off from the idea of tangling with the Qunari- if his species, size, and bulk wasn't enough.
The man's body is covered in tribal tattoo's, runes and designed- born into an era when the "Mage Towers" crumbled- he has never known such petty restrictions. He moves like a free man, with confidence, poise, and an intelligence that is rare and nearly unknown in these harsh times. Often he is seen wearing not robes, but simple leather tunics, with slacks tucked into leather boots- generally a leather belt to match, with a collared black undershirt beneath the leathers. He keeps the sleeves rolled up to his elbows generally- revealing the many runes traces along his skin. | [/tab][tab=Psychological]| Personality Info | Likes: Books, Reading, Training, Learning, Sleeping, and Tea's. Goals: Learn all the secrets that magic has to offer, destroy the darkspawn through the discovery of a magic designed to wipe them out en-masse.
| General: Omid's personality is what many would consider to be the complete opposite to what one would expect from a Qunari from the rumor's of them being practically demon's incarnated into the form of flesh. He is very calm, collected, and intelligent- holding a unique outlook that makes many stop and seem baffled by his ideal's and thoughts he comes up with for new situations. The man is a raging optimist, never being depressed or down- he seems to take everything in stride and keep an honest to god smile on his face through it all somehow- and it's certainly not because he has never experienced pain or depression.
Omid is lightly flirtatious, a bit of a smartass- and can at times make jokes at others expenses, but is surprisingly shy when it comes to actual romance, or even friendship. Not sure how to treat people that actually accept him and try to get that close to him- even in times like these, racism is alive and well- at least toward the Qunari who are practically non-existent in Farelden. He is not a proud man, lacking pride as a whole- seeing it as useless and stupid, instead preferring the idea that you do anything you have to, in order to survive- in order to win.
That is the biggest difference between Omid and most people, he does not want to just "survive" or "outrun" the Darkspawn. Farelden is his home, everyones home- and he is determined to take it back no matter the personal cost. He is not afraid to kill, though he has only done it a few times- generally preferring to avoid it, he takes no pleasure in it. However if the choice is you or him, or you and someone he cares for- or is in charge of protecting, then your life is worth far less to him. He will do what has to be done in order to free Ferelden, period. | [/tab][tab=Historical]| Historical Info | General: Omid's story is not a kind one- but it is not as dark as one would expect from him ether. The man was born to a Qunari mother - with a twin whom had been stillborn, his mother- already wracked with greif was forced to continue on, and had fled their homeland after loosing her status- giving birth to the child within Ferelden, where she quickly realized that with no home, no money, or any status or skills beyond that of a housewife her likelyhood of raising the child was next to nothing. If she were human, perhaps a maid- but she was not. Forced to give up her child and live on the streets, she left her son on the doorstep of a Farm far from the chaos of the Darkspawn- for the time. The battle of the Archdemon raged, and as the grey warden's fell the news quickly spread.
Omid was left with a single piece of paper with his first name on it- the Farmers when they found him, took him in (once they realized the young babe was not some twisted tainted child from hell). They had tried for a child for years to no avail- and they were happy to accept him, even with his ... differences. The good life however, did not last. It took only a month when the Darkspawn kicked the door in- Omid loosing his father before he even knew him so that he and his mother could escape. They fled into the world, along with thousands of others that tried to make the trips to the "Safe Havens". However every time they turned out not so safe.
Finally after five years of this, Omid- now five years old, and as large as most ten year olds, traveled with a small group of X-farmers turned warrior's, to the City known as Gwaren, supposedly the last Dwarf Fortress. When they arrived, there was much in the way of persecution against them- so much hatred toward the Darkspawn had turned them bitter to anything that looked even close, and few even knew what a Qunari was in the first place. The child and mother were given some of the worst accommodations, and had they not already been used to the outside world- they surely would have perished. There Omid learned you do anything to survive- even ram your horns into someone attacking your mother.
Even eating rats cooked over a fire in the middle of a ancient stone room with no windows- only an open door to let the smoke out, inviting others less fortunate to even have that much to come and try and take it from you. He lived like this for years in the under-networks, filth, and creeps of the dwarven city. Ten years later, the boy was already a man in size and maturity- his mother was old, sickly and weak, the environment did not do well for her age. He watched her slowly die in his arms, and had to fight those that had turned cannibal in the darkness of the undercity off just to give her a proper stone-burial. After her death however is when his true path became clear- one day the Darkspawn broke through the depths.
Invading the undercity, the Dwarves sealed the section off- leaving those within to their fates for the protection of those not within it. A way to be rid of undesirables, as well as a way to kill off some of the Darkspawn. Omid did not give way however, for as he felt himself swarmed, kicking, biting, slamming and rending horns into anything he could- he saw it. A single spark went off in his mind- he saw the whispers of something, strands of mist that seemed to encompass him, protect him. Slowly his eyes narrowed as he saw the outline of another man- a Qunari of same height and expression, sadness in his eyes- and then rage as he turned his back to Omid. He watched, as the spirit released power in a wave that sent the Darkspawn reeling backwards. His brother.
That thought caught him off guard as he had no such things, but the spirit simply smiled at him- and dispersed, leaving him by the hole in the wall that the spirit had made as he was grabbed- and yanked through. Dwarven warriors, eager for an explanation to how he had blown through six feet of solid stone- but he had none for them, that was until a Dwarf tried to punch him- and the sound of bone cracking filled the air as he howled and fell back in agony. He felt it again- the chill of the fade, and slowly his eyes rose to those around him who stared in fear, he didn't realize the glowing white markings that covered his skin- only that he felt ... whole. Like he had someone once again that cared for him.
His stillborn brother had the spark of magic, as had he- and through that connection they had found one another and bonded into one being with an unsaid deal. As the years passed, their bond grew as did his magical abilities- he was finally able to use magic freely, though he was far from a master, it was a start- and that was what mattered. He and his brothers goals continued to grow- they had all the time in the world, in a way- they would do everything they could, and slay the archdemon. No matter the research it took, no matter the dark or once forbidden magics, or new magics yet to be invented, they had been gifted with power- they would use it. | [/tab][tab=Combat]| Combat Info | Money: 514 Silver/775 Silver
Items & Weapons Name: Staff-Blade Type: Weapon - [100 Silver] Description: A long five foot staff made from hardened wood, combined with a three foot long blade of double-edge steel. The blade holding a eight inch crosshilt at its connection to the staff itself, a large steel ball found at the opposite end of the staff. Beyond this it is a simple blade staff used for normal combat- he is able to fire basic mana blasts from it as he wishes.
| Name: Leather Armor Type: Armor - [61 Silver] Description: This is a full set of leather armor, the armor is made up of a pair of knee-high boots of hardened leather. Leather pants tuck into the boots, baggy enough for comfort but tight enough to not catch or chafe awkwardly. A simple black collared cotton long-sleeve shirt is then worn, tucked into the pants with a leather belt holding a simple iron buckle. A leather vest, layered and padded at the shoulders, back and chest is then worn atop it for added protection. Leather straps hold everything in place.
| Name: Steel-Woven Cloak Type: Armor - [100 Silver] Description: This is a full Woven cloak of what at first glance appears to be a dark black cotton, however on closer inspection and touch- it is incredibly heavy and smooth like metal. The cloak is made from finely thinned strands of steel, woven with cotton through the use of a smith and him working as one with magic and experience in the craft, to make it flexible but gain all the properties of steel, it's large enough to hang from his shoulders, and cover his entire body seamlessly. It is lined with thick wolf fure at the trim, and comes with a large baggy hood that lets it fall down to cover his eyes, and his entire head.

This is not an In-Character Item, but instead an "Item" on that character that represents that your character can turn this in with a thread and gain an extra +5% SP (Rounded Down, Minimum +1) and +10% Money (Rounded Down, Minimum +1 Silver). Abilities Qunari (Free) - The Qunari are large, strong, and powerful beings. They posses immense power and natural resistance to many things- but in return often from a sort of "Hive Mind" Syndrome, lacking independence, they live up to 85 years old casually, the oldest dying at around 100. Very few Qunari hold independent thoughts and desires to "Be more" than they are- those that have that desire tend to do very well, becoming wealthy and powerful, or even Qun's. They gain +40% Strength.
| Mage (Free) - As a class, mages focus on spells in order to deliver damage and debilitate their enemies, as well as support and heal their allies. In addition to individual spells, mages have the ability to cast multiple spells in a row resulting in a spell combination. The character may now make Magic-Based techniques instead of just Chi and normal Techniques.
| Magic Training (2 AP) - A basic level of training involving your natural chi or magical capabilities, amplifying their power and speed. You Gain a +20% to your Magic Stat for every AP put into this Ability, maximum of +60%.
| Mage - Spirit Healer (2 AP) - Not all entities of the Fade are demonic. Many are benevolent entities consisting of life energy, which can be called upon to mend flesh and heal disease. Spirit healers focus on channeling the energies granted by these spirits, making them indispensable members of a party of adventurers. This grants them elongated life- doubling their natural lifetime. They also are able to make healing spells as per normal that target multiple targets equal to (Technique Rank/4, rounded down) at maximum. As well, their "Spirit" may cast Arcane, Creation and Spirit Branch magic that their "owner" knows, whether their "owner" is conscious or not, using their owner's magic stat as their own. They also naturally regenerate faster than most, having the equal to a Rank 32 Passive healing technique- only active on themselves.
| | Charismatic Leader (1 AP) - Characters with this trait are gifted with the ability to command respect and admiration from others. Sentient NPCs are easier to sway over to the side of those with this trait. They may gain information, calm down the angry, and sometimes even placate hostile adversaries. Additionally, those normally friendly to strangers find themselves easily enamored with the character. The user also gains one NPC henchman, who behaves as a loyal NPC and is controlled by the player of the main character. • Instantly: Can heal a bit more serious wounds, and cuts but nothing to severe. • In 24 Hours: Can now heal peoples broken bones, severe lacerations, internal damage and so forth. Keeps the "cure" abilities of previous ranks. • In 1-Week: Can now re-attach peoples lost appendages, perform organ and limb transplants that work flawlessly after a week of healing, etc. Keeps the "cure" abilities of previous ranks. |
Arcane Spells Name: Brothers Guard Branch: Spell - Arcane Type: Defend Rank: 12 Cooldown: 0 Posts After Use Description: He or his brother release a telekenetic, arcane white glowing semi-invisible energy barrier that allows them to block incoming damage with their magical energies. This barrier travels at speeds equal to their (Magic Stat+6), and holds the defensive power equal to his (Magic Stat).
| Name: Brothers Armor Branch: Spell - Arcane Type: Guard Rank: 12 Cooldown: 0 Posts After Use Description: A barrier that is underneath the "Guard" as a last line of defense generally, this is used to weaken attacks further before they hit him, an white glowing semi-invisible energy set of arcane armor wrapped around his body. It add's +12 to his Bodies Natural Breaking Point.
| Name: Fades Wrath Branch: Spell - Arcane Type: Attack Rank: 12 Cooldown: 0 Posts After Use Description: He or his brother release a spiritual blade of white glowing semi-invisible energy that is usually a razor like spear of energy- that directly targets the individuals spirit, causing intense pain without the damage- only harming their spirit and stamina, designed to move at high speeds. This blade of white semi-invisible energy travels at speeds equal to their (Magic Stat+6), and holds the offensive power equal to his (Magic Stat). |
Creation Spells Name: Brothers Soul Branch: Spell - Creation Type: Augmentation Rank: 12 Cooldown: 0 Posts After Use Description: By allowing his brothers soul to invade his own body, he is able to tap into a small amount of his brothers power- able to gain a boost to his magical abilities. When activated his arcane markings that cover his skin glow silver, as does his eyes from the arcane energies of the fade flowing through him. While this is active he gains +7 to his Magic Stat.
