Introduction to roleplay!

1. I'm a noob and it's normal. (skip if you ain't)
Now, everyone's afraid of these words. Why? For absolutely no reason, that's why! Every person in the world upon entering the wonderful universe of role play gaming might be called a noob for not knowing the basics of the role play, but not to worry! After this small course of teaching you'll be able to know what a RPG is, and how to perform it!
2.Let the Role Play begin! People oftenly get stuck at the easiest phase, so we'll start with it. First one is what you need to know before you can roleplay:
RP or RPG - Role Play or Role Playing Game, which means that this is the kind of game you need in order to create a character and get in the game!
IC/OOC - a state of a physical person outside the computer who either goes In Character (IC), or Out Of Character (OOC). Whilst in a state of IC the person behind the computer starts acting out as the character he created for himself to act. Note that in this state you have to use propper grammar (comas may not be in count), for example, you can't say words like "u", "thug 4 lyf". Also note that if the world is custom-made (not Earth or Earth in alternative version of reality) you can not display things such as religion (unless it's custom-made aswell), politics (no Obama in mythical rp) or other stuff that might be happening in our timeline but can not happen in the time line of the roleplay you're playing in.
Now, OOC (Out of character) means that the person is going to talk for himself, not his character. You MUST use brackets to note that you're out of character, or state that you're OOC before being able to talk things that bother you, as a person, not as your creation.
AFK - away from keyboard, means that a physical person behind the computer went away from keyboard to do some stuff.
Real Life - something we, as roleplayers, won't have.
BRB - be right back, means that a roleplayer is afk, but is coming back real soon. Like if they're off to toilet or wanna drink/smoke etc.
Actions, Thoughts and/or speech - The important thing to note here is that you can't just go
Quote:

picks that up
eats that up

Because it means that your character basically speaks that out loud! That's an epic fail!
Epic Fail Alert!!!

Now, to rp your characters actions PROPERLY, you must use - or *, for example:
-Gary moves his body to the beautiful flower, in order to obtain it and to give it to Jammy-
*Charlie would take the beautiful flower from Jammy, proving their eternal love admin triangle*
If your character thinks about something and you want the others to know it, you can just go
;;Insert your thought here;;
That way people won't hear you say that, but they will understand OOCly that this is what your character thinks of them.
When it comes to what influence OOC has on IC, it's worth stating these negative things:
MG (Metagame) - a scene when what you know OOC turns into what you know IC. This is strictly forbidden(!), as your character can not hear you in the flesh, therefore your character doesn't know what you know. For example (also an example of using brackets to state ooc):
[Yo guys, my char is a god now!] - Says Tom
Great to know, man![] - says Gary
Gary goes IC: `ic-
To Tom: Hello, God!
This is INCORRECT, as your character can not know something if he doesn't find that out on his own (doesn't comply to english).
PG, or Power Game (also OP - Over Powered) - a state of character who's not based on realism. Yes, I know this is a mythical roleplay, but it also has some rules of realism in it. For example, a little five years old boy won't fly around saving people - it's just something he wouldn't be able to do on his own. By that I mean he wouldn't be able to carry heavy weights like your 333333 lbs butt (just kidding). Always use realism whilst roleplaying. Think whether the character would be able to do that in real life or not.
For now that really is it, when you feel like you're ready, go to the Fallen Realm Rules to see the ruleset for this rp!
