Tryn

This fan fiction will reveal many things about Tryn's real past.

Will be told in Tryn's point of view.

It was around 10 in the dead evening. The moon was beautifully full as it radiate its light
upon that rotting buildings lying in the middle of the decaying district.
Around that time also, was the usual gathering of Gremlins in every district.
I met my friend Styll in District 10 so I chose to join the gathering there as well.

Because I became a part of Gremlin, even though I have no reason to join to,
except for Styll who recruited me, I had to save money and buy a weapon i'm comfortable with.
The first time I fought, I nearly got killed because my ability was more on the defensive side.
I was so scared to death but it was a good experience, and luckily I didn't piss on my pants.

That first time though, changed me a lot. I instantly learned of how dark the world is,
especially the city I am living in. It made everything about me strong.
But slowly, I grew tired of the bitter relation of Gremlin and Protocol.
Making me think sometimes on who is really bad and who is really good.

But Styll's company kept me at ease, and all my worries vanish every time i'm with him.
Our eternal friendship didn't last a year though, when hundreds of Protocols came.
That night when we were ambushed, caused great catastrophe and death.
And I never knew that it will be the last time I will see my best buddy.

Loud noises of voices screaming in pain, while some are making battle cries.
Being in the middle of something like that sure is horrifying indeed.
It was completely different than being in a 1 on 1 match.
You have to be careful 3x and you also have to move fast and wise.

I was not a smart tactician myself but I was able to use my ability right.
I tried to help others that I see having a hard that I completely forgot about Styll.
When I managed to take down a couple of Protocols, I turned my head to see him.
But it was too late. I froze when I saw a Pyrokinetic shooting his flame.

Of course Styll was able to notice it, and he even tried his best to defend the attack.
But not only he is too late to form a defensive iron wall, the wall was too thin as well.
Before I even knew it, my eyes welled up and I cried as I watch that flame hit him.
I trembled and broke down on my knees, as I see my friend burning while calling my name.

He was reaching his burning hand to me, but I can't do anything for him.
I can only accelerate and slow down time, which was pathetic.
If I slowed time, it will be like as if I was torturing my friend.
But if I accelerate it, it's as if i wanted him to die by killing him fast with that flame.

The flame had burned Styll whole, and behind him is his killer who is wearing a silly grin.
When I saw that annoying grin, it ticked me to the core and angered me so much.
So much I screamed filled with agony and anger, then my vision became cloudy.
That's where I started being able to stop time, stopping the time of the universe.

I knew that everything had stopped, but my feelings were overwhelming.
And I couldn't control it, ending up chopping, slicing, decapitating, dismembering,
butchering, slaughtering, destroying and wrecking every person before my eyes.
Thus, I murdered and bathe the blood of 1164, both Gremlin and Protocol, in that old warehouse.

Soon my body got exhausted and I suddenly reached my limit after exerting so much strength.
Then I collapsed at the center of the the old warehouse, which is now the main base of Gremlin.
Who would have thought that an old god-forsaken warehouse like that had such a history.
A very, very horrible and unpleasant history.

The next day, I found myself waking up and confined the biggest hospital in Eden City.
And the memory of the dark night was still fresh in my memory.
Then suddenly, two Anti-Skill in their vests came in to my roof, asking me question.
They asked what was I doing and why am I in the middle of that corpses.

I.. lied. I persistently said that I don't know, I don't remember a thing.
But that was not convincing enough for them, and even bothered bring a Protocol.
Turned out that the Protocol had Telepathy, the ability to read or communicate with the mind.
And so she was asked by these Anti-Skill people to read my mind.

Fortunately, the girl was a scaredy cat. I was able to prevent her from reading my mind,
by just giving her a sharp and deathly glare, it gave her the chills.
So in the end, she had to lie for me as well, by saying that I don't really know a thing.
And after 2 weeks in the hospital, I was finally able to go home.

But god knows, there was still many things waiting for me..

To be continued.
