Our new albeit temporary home, move-in effective Feb 1st :
Posted Image
It's not much but at least it'll get us out of my parents' house. It's a 3 bedroom, 1 1/2 bath mobile home, late 2016 model. We'll be renting it for the rest of the school year, with the possibility to own if we choose.
In other news, I popped the question to my now-fiancee last night, and after a brief hesitation(shock?) she said YES! Although it would mean better pay and hours, I've decided to turn down the promotion I've been recommended for. The company I work for has locations all over the US and I figured I could simply transfer to one a little north of Philly.
^ Hey congrats again Mike! Your recommendation for promotion may have come at a good time to move things up a bit. It seemed like you were really set to buy your house which may have tied you down where you are living now before moving to Philadelphia. So when do you and your financee make your move and start a new life in Philly?

There wasn't any certainty in the promotion, I was only one of five up for one of three positions. My fiancee's promotion however was locked in. She starts in early April, and will secure housing. I'm staying up here with the kid, so she can finish the school year with her friends. We'll complete the move to Philly in July.

It turns out Jared Kushner and Sean Spicer are also registered to vote in two states

https://www.washingtonpost.com/news/post-politics/wp/2017/01/26/it-turns-out-trump-son-in-law-jared-kushner-is-also-registered-to-vote-in-two-states/?utm_term=.7d0f709fe96a

Their dual registrations offer two more high-profile examples of how common it is for voters to be on the rolls in multiple states -- something Trump has claimed is evidence of voter fraud. He suggested former president Obama was elected by voter fraud but has said nothing about potentially the same thing happening involving those close to him.

Trump Hosts First Official Movie Screening in White House Theater Amid Protests

http://www.hollywoodreporter.com/news/trump-hosts-finding-dory-movie-screening-at-white-house-protests-969675

The timing of this drew attention on social media following the outcry and protests that swept the country Saturday night and early Sunday morning after the president's immigration ban went into effect. In addition to Iranian actress Taraneh Alidoosti boycotting the Oscars over Trump's visa ban, Iranian director Asghar Farhadi, whose film “The Salesman” is nominated for the foreign-language-film Oscar, has also decided not to attend the Oscars.

Hollywood’s Open Rebellion Against Donald Trump

http://screenrant.com/hollywood-donald-trump-criticism-backlash-oscars/

With the Oscars approaching, there is talk of a boycott because of Trump's immigration ban, but I think Hollywood will more likely use the Oscar stage to get their message across. This will most likely be the most political Oscars ever in light of Hollywood's overwhelming dislike for Trump and his latest act. This may make this year's Oscar one of the most interesting to hear who says what and to see the resulting fireworks. You can almost bet Trump will tweet a response to anything said about him. I will be watching. Anyone else going to watch the show?

Is anyone here a member of another movie forum?? The only other forum I'm on is Blu-ray.com
Only imdb.com if that counts. I am a member more for their database and voting privileges than for the forums.
Does anyone else here often visit imdb.com? I am a member and I know Johnny goes there often but wondering if anyone else here a member or visits the site to read the articles, comment in their forums or to use their database to find out about certain movies?

I am also a member of IMDb and use their site quite a bit, hence the reason I placed a IMDb widget on this forum :) Does anyone post comments/criticism/reviews on IMDb? I'm open to anyone interested in writing for Film Crazy.

This is the first time I've ever heard any mention of a "White House Theater," makes me wonder what it features. Also, I noticed the article mentions how Hollywood has made it's movies available to the White house staff since the early 1900s...I wonder if the White House also has a film library of some kind or if they stream in the films from studio servers.
