Well, according to the calendar year, regardless whether the groundhog sees his shadow or not, we have 6 more weeks of Winter. And, according to the upcoming 5-day forecast I just saw for my area, this bitter weather we've been having isn't going anywhere. Ironically we saw temps in the 40s yesterday, and today they have dropped into the low 20s, it's no wonder it seems everyone has been sick recently

I was watching a show last night and the subject of Groundhog Day came up. They were joking how we have satellites that cost hundred millions of dollars and we are letting a furry little critter forecast the weather. All in fun but some people do take it seriously.

We are also currently going through a coldsnap here.

Ha, a co-worker pretty much said the same exact thing, verbatim, yesterday. I suppose letting a groundhog "forecast" the weather would be no different then believing in astrology IMO.

Re: The Future of Film Crazy

It has been brought to my attention that our little forum is being turned into a "link dump", something I have tried to avoid happening. The point of these forums are to provide conversation of film/Hollywood among fans, simply posting links to outside articles isn't going to interest newcomers. In light of all of this, I have decided that any posts including links to outside articles will be immediately deleted. I hate the idea of moderating this forum as I'm not a fan of any kind of censorship. Rather than just posting a link, please consider paraphrasing the article and adding your opinion, obviously to avoid plagiarism you will still be required to post the link to the original source as well.

So you are saying posting of the title of an article and a link will be deleted? However if you make a comment or offer an opinion regarding the article is acceptable?

Yes, unless someone quotes it with their opinion. Posting links to outside articles without making a comment is simply spamming our board, and I think I can speak for all of us when I say we don't like spam.
