Yeah, I agree about quality over quantity. Give some thought to what you are posting because posting something that is not of much interest to our community does not serve much purpose if nobody reads it.

Why Hollywood Should Ignore Politics During the Academy Awards

http://screenrant.com/oscars-2017-politics/

Will Hollywood ignore politics during the Academy Awards? Based on the award shows so far I would hardly think so. Hollywood does not like Trump and Trump doesn't like Hollywood although that was not always the case from what I read before. Trump likes being a celebrity and liked to hobnob with those in Hollywood until his politics offended many of them. Then when he reacted to Meryl Streep's speech at the Golden Globes by dissing her that got others involved. The more he reacts, the more he will provoke. This is very unpresidential but there has never been a president like Trump either. I am sure there will be a few 'political' references. I will be watching either way. Love the Oscars.

It's official - The kid's plane ticket has been purchased, she leaves me on June 23 and won't return until August 30, which will leave a little over a week to prep her for middle school. This may sound a little selfish but I'm truly jealous, I've always wanted to travel abroad but the furthest I've been is up to Quebec when I was 12. :(

Trump doesn't like Hollywood? Well that's a new one for me, and very hard to grasp. As for leaving politics out of the Academy Awards, I agree US politics should be left out but honestly the whole Oscars thing is political...

I suppose you are being facetious about Trump and his relation with those in Hollywood. He certainly provides a lot to write about for those in the media but unfortunately too much concerns matters other than what he promised in being elected, 'make America great again'. Trump has a ‘yugh’ ego and doesn’t like anyone who doesn’t support him or says anything against him and often is quick to react via Twitter. That is why he has gotten into publicized feuds with Meryl Streep, Arnold Schwartzenegger, Alec Baldwin, three who immediately come to mind. During the run-up to election day, many celebrities backed Hilary Clinton and very few backed him so he was not happy about that. Then he could not get many celebrities for his inauguration. A number of celebrities have spoken out against him during various protests like the Womens March Against Trump. Katy Perry, Scarlett Johansson and Julianne Moore were prominent speakers. More recently Robert De Niro, Seth Rogen and George Clooney have criticized Trump. I am sure the list of those will get longer over time.
