A little late posting this obviously but thought it would be interesting as a O/T discussion. Have you ever utilized IMDb's board function? How do you think this will impact the future of IMDb?

The last day for the message boards had slipped my mind and I haven't checked them in a long time so did not notice they were removed. Early on when I joined imdb.com after I started collecting movies I used to often check the message boards for answers to questions I had about DVDs I was thinking of buying or aspects of a movie I had watched. I never posted anything on there myself. I guess they may have outlived their usefulness and were used for other purposes than intended. I don't think they will impact the future imbd. There is so much more to the website than just the message boards.

In the earlier days, the boards were extremely useful but as of late it seemed the trolls just took over the place.

I never bothered with the general boards but looked over the individual title boards for additional opinions and/or answers to questions I pondered about a movie/character.
