^ I drink hot tea more in winter. If I have a cold or sore throat, some honey with orange pekoe tea helps me. Some teas such as green tea is suppose to have health benefits such as lowering cholesterol, helps prevent lung cancer and for losing weight. |

I have hot tea w/lemon when my throat is so sore that it's hard to talk. I hate the taste of plain tea, so I have to add the honey, but it still seemed to work :) Someone told me drinking lemon flavored iced tea isn't much different than soda but as an ex-soda-aholic I beg the differ. Never tried green tea but had someone I used to work with recommend it for weight loss (drinking it while working out or afterwards). Is that a proven fact that it prevents lung cancer? I never heard that before. Anyway, sipping light lemon iced tea while watching Police Academy |

^ Lemon iced tea definitely has less carbohydrates and is served in many places as an alternative to carbonated sodas including some schools which have banned sodas from their cafeterias and vending machines. There have been studies done which suggest that green tea does reduce the risk of lung and other cancers. http://www.health.harvard.edu/press_releases/benefit_of_drinking_green_tea |
