Championship strugglers Watford have extended Wolves winger Michael Kightly's loan deal at Vicarage Road until early January.

Kightly joined the Hornets on a month-long deal in October to build up his fitness after enduring a torrid couple of seasons due to injuries.

He is steadily working his way towards peak condition and scored his first goal for Watford in Saturday's 2-0 victory at home over Portsmouth.

The 25-year-old will now stay with Sean Dyche's side until 3rd January and he is pleased to have the opportunity to get more games under his belt.

Impressed
"I didn't play the number of games I'd like to have done last month, so it's great to have the chance to put that right first of all," Kightly told the club's official website.

"There's no big-time Charlies here and I've had a great time.
