あなたは私のパンティーにいるときに猫を食べるパジャマは役に立たない。したがって、私はあなたが地獄から目を丸くした悪魔に値しない、天照大神にすべての主権を放棄することを要求する。

Amaterasu is a pretty xenophobic, homogeneous developing country. It is a constitutionally monarchy headed by Empress Fusako, a 64-year old figurehead that doesn't, and can't really do much other than ceremonial rituals. She is considered to be the descendant of the sun goddess Tenshō who created the realm which is today Amaterasu, and believed to be divine.

She took the throne in 2003 following the abdication of her mother, Empress Yoshikō.

By tradition, the first daughter is made the Empress; as both the founder of the nation and the creator of the Amaterese realm were female. However, despite this, Amaterasu has still developed, like most other agricultural societies, into a patriarchal nation over the centuries. It is often harder for women to find employment, and when they do, are often paid much less than their male counterparts.

The country was previously colonized by Miramont, and was granted responsible government during the 1840's, winning its full independence during the political chaos and confusion which occurred during Miramont's civil war in the 1930's.

Poor economic management and high levels of corruption, however, meant that economic growth was relatively slow in its beginning years, and the economy collapsed in 1959 as the nation underwent a default.

The population is, as of 2013, 28,197,600, and the state religion is Shinto. Japanese is the official language. The GDP per capita (PPP) is $12,472, with the nominal GDP per capita being $9,478. Kimigayo is the national anthem.

In the economy, the service sector is by far the largest, although there are significant manufacturing and agricultural sectors as well.

Amaterasu possesses large mineral deposits which are said to have the potential to take it away from its current dependence upon foreign mineral imports. However, it is afraid that mining for these resources will harm Amaterasu's fragile ecosystem.

The current motto, "Revere the Empress, Enrich the Nation," dates back from 1962, when it was changed from "Revere the Empress, Expel the Barbarians" in order for a more foreigner-friendly appearance.

Amaterasu is mostly located on the elevated Amaterese plateau, which is where its capital, Heian-kyō, is located. Owing to its high altitude, Heian-kyō possesses a borderline humid continental climate/alpine climate (Dfb/Dfc) climate, with cool summers and long, snowy winters.

Although the nation is largely homogeneous and immigration can often be quite difficult, foreigners can quite often be seen in the more affluent sections of the capital, which currently has a population of around 413,780.

As the Amaterese census asks for nationality rather than ethnicity, it is difficult to measure how homogeneous the nation actually is.

Those who do not possess East Asian physical features, yet have been born and raised in Amaterasu all their lives, even if they have citizenship, are generally considered foreigners and not Amaterese by the rest of society.

Those who do, however, even if their parents were not from Amaterasu, can generally pass it off, although if people find out that you had at least even a single parent who was not Amaterese, they will not consider you so.

Interracial marriages, although legal, are generally frowned upon by the populace, and those who do marry foreigners are generally looked down upon greatly.

Those who are half-Amaterese are called hāfu and are often seen with contempt as impure. However, such sentiments are gradually declining, with more accepting attitudes often seen in the bigger cities.

Due to the high altitude, the use of terraces is quite common for the farming of rice.

Some of the lower-lying areas in the immediate southern coast possess a humid subtropical climate.

The city of Eniwa on the Strait of Vesuvius possesses a cool-summer Mediterranean climate, with much of the country's foreign shipping occurring that city.

The inhabitants of the country are very religious, and the vast majority (91%) practice either a form of Shinto, Buddhism, or both. The number has been slowly dropping however, as Amaterasu continues to develop into a modern capitalist economy.

Although prior to colonization, there had been little, if any negative stigma towards homosexuality in Amaterasu, Catholic influence brought in through colonization generally caused it to become taboo. As such, same-sex marriage is unrecognized in Amaterasu.

With Confucianism, Amaterasu has largely picked and chosen. Due to both its influence, and the influence of Catholicism, there is no death penalty in Amaterasu, although there has been debate in recent years to introduce it due to Marxist guerrillas and drug lords.

A quote by Confucius often cited by opponents of the death penalty is "How can you govern by killing? Just set your heart on what is virtuous and benevolent, and the people will be virtuous and benevolent. The noble-minded have the Integrity of wind, and little people the Integrity of grass. When the wind sweeps over grass, it bends."

The Marxist guerrillas takes form in the illegal Amaterasu People's Liberation Front, which seeks to overthrow the current government and monarchy, and establish a temporary worker's state before a final transition into communism.

There is a significant economic disparity between the rural regions in comparison to urban areas, and the past decades have seen large numbers of rural farmers moving to the cities in order for better economic and educational opportunities for both themselves and their families, as well as to escape violence from drug lords and Marxist guerrillas.

Amaterasu has also recently seen a large increase in population, although this has been downplayed by successful encouragement from the government for less children, rural areas in particular. There are also often unfortunate cases of infanticide, once again, mostly in rural regions.

Smoking is quite common in the country, with many young students starting to smoke in their middle school years. Smoking, however, is prohibited in the presence of the Empress, and doing so can result in hefty fines.

Politically, the nation is a unitary parliamentary constitutional monarchy. The nation's unicameral parliament is called the Kokkai, with seats based upon proportional representation.

Can I ask? Why did Empress Yoshikō have to abdicate?

Empress Yoshikō abdicated due to old age and to give her daughter to take the throne. Being Empress can often be quite demanding in ceremonial duties, especially for one of old age.
