Chapter 27 Leon raised both of his hands nervously, then put both of them behind his head with a nervous smile. Crysta managed to keep the pistol aimed at her target without causing much of a scene, with all the darkness and loud music in the background. Pendant seemed to be the only one who really knew of the situation. Leon laughed nervously, “So…how much does my head go for, Crysta?” “21,000 gold.” “Really? That’s my lucky number! Or at least, the 21 part is…” “Your price is the least compared to your three other comrades. Garet’s is 24,000, Neo’s is 22,000, and Jaffar’s is a juicy 45,000. Capture all four of you alive and the bounty is doubled for all four.” Crysta snickered. “W-WHAT!? Why the hell am I on the bottom!?” “Well, you kind of do stand out, Leon…” Pendant sighed. “My aura is just too sexy.” Leon huffed, blowing the hair over his forehead up. Crysta groaned and cocked the pistol, “Get up, now.” She was cut short. The butt off a shotgun was smashed against the back of her head. She was knocked out from the sudden and powerful action, and fell down onto Leon’s lap. The former Lieutenant Colonel had the expected eccentric reaction, raising his fist into the air and going, “BOOYAH. Someone got LUCKY~!” “Moron. Get up.” Neo appeared where Crysta had once stood just a moment ago, holding onto a large shotgun, an earth one that he had summoned using earth psynergy, just like he did at the Military ball weeks ago. He had gotten some attention from the attack, some people screaming and others pointing at the former Lieutenant Colonels. Neo looked around the club, noticing how popular he had just gotten, “We’re leaving.” “Neo!” Pendant stood up, taking a new look at the smoker. Yes, he did have a cigarette in his mouth. He wasn’t wearing his bullet-proof vest right now, just a regular black vest with a red undershirt, cut up from past brawls. Neo looked over at her, a bit stunned, “Pendant? What are you—forget it, we’ll talk later. We’re going out through the back door, follow me.” Neo ran into the crowd, pushing and shoving his way through. Pendant grabbed her backpack and followed, as Leon lifted Crysta off him and started to go after the pair. He stopped after a couple steps though. He jotted back to the bar to grab his unfinished beer then returned to his escape route. “Hey dude, this is a no-smoking building, can’t you read!?” Leon yelled at Neo, who stopped as he had made his way to a wall. Leon pointed at the no-smoking sign on the wall in front of Neo’s face. Neo rolled his eyes and ignored the rule, “I’m sure it says no assaulting others with shotguns somewhere. I’m on a roll with the law tonight, whoa my God.” He dashed down the left of the wall, which lead to a corner of the room, with an emergency exit at it. “Hey, you!” Someone in a tall leather jacket, identical to Crysta’s stood in their way. The person had long red hair, and apparently had from the look of it smooth skin. Leon stopped along with his other two friends with his jaw wide open, “You look like a hooker I knew in Fresco.” “Leon, that’s a guy.” Neo corrected him. “Oh. That makes my statement even more true, then.” As Neo was getting nostalgia from his past experience as a drag queen, the man, Soja waved his arms around, “You’re the ones who beat Crysta!! Well, I’m way tougher!! I have gone through rigorous training with several Shaolin monks in Indochina, and reached total enlightenment!! Nothing can survive my ultimate wrath! Now prepare yourselves for this!! Soja-Master-Final Technique!! GOD GIVE—“ Neo shot him in the face. He fell down to the floor even faster than Crysta did. Even though he was hit with a soft earth bullet, he had managed to get KO’d by just a single bullet. His stamina must be low, but Neo double-checked by firing a few more sand-bullets in the torso area as the defeated Soja laid on the floor motionless. After a few more shots, Leon and Pendant assumed Soja was no longer a threat, and ran past him for the exit. Neo did as well, as the alarm went off from the emergency exit’s door being opened. The three were out in an alleyway. The path to their left blocked off with a simple fence, leading to the hotels and motels of Fef, and the right to the same street that Greth’s bar resided on. Leon slammed the emergency door, and Neo taped strong earth over the frame to keep it closed. Neo looked down the way that would take them to the hotel-area, “We can’t go back to Greth’s now. We’re gonna have to stay on the low tonight.” He threw the shotgun against the brick wall building in front of him, which bursted into a small cloud of sand. “So that means…alright, I’ll telepathically tell Jaffar to meet us over at that hotel.” Leon said, then took a big sip from his beer, then threw it down the alleyway. “I’m guessing the CSI which now consists of Ziddles and FEGirl won’t care about that piece of evidence?” “Don’t think so.” “Alright, good. Now I don’t have to be all stiff and stuff, worrying about you picking up on my trail…” Leon stretched, as Pendant and Neo went down the alleyway. “Leon, a sea otter can pick up a trail that you leave behind.” Pendant groaned. “Oh right, Leon. I’m guessing you got no luck with the ladies tonight?” Neo asked, looking over his shoulder. Leon was right behind him with his head down, “Uhh…yeah.” “Pay up. 15 gold.” Neo waved his hand behind his back. “Damn you.” Leon reached into his pockets and smacked Neo’s hand with the few coins. Neo beamed a smile, “Toldja you can’t get any girls without using your mind-reading psynergy, you sucker.” “Shut up.” Leon retorted. Pendant smiled as she jumped onto a couple trash cans, then over the fence, “Oh, so those pick-up lines aren’t something you regularly do?” Leon and Neo did the same to maneuver over the small fence. Leon raised a brow, “To tell you the truth I was suffering internal bleeding from using a few. But why? You liked the good ones? I got a few more I didn’t test!” “You know what my answer is. Don’t make me kill you and take your 21,000 bounty.” “21,000 bounty? Not bad, Leon.” Neo nodded with a satisfied smile on his face, “Wonder how I did.” Pendant put on the same satisfied smile on, as they exited the alleyway and arrived at a sidewalk of a fairly busy street. “You’re a couple thousand higher than Leon, Neo.” “GAH! Pendant! The last thing I want is for Neo to start thinking he’s better than me just because of a bounty price!” Leon looked disgusted, while Neo looked quite the opposite, “But that does mean that I’m better! Harder to track down, better fighter, etc…” “Only because of your stupid mission you had with the Colonel at The Casino.” Leon continued, but decided to come to a stop, “Whatever, I don’t want to talk about how much our heads are worth. Either way the Colonel’s totally pazowns ours.” “How much?” “45 grand.” Leon said with amazement. He stood on the curb of the sidewalk and raised one hand over the traffic that was now starting to clear up, “Taxi!” “Pretty sick.” The former officer took out his burning cigarette and threw it back into the alleyway, then reached into his coat for another. The yellow taxi drove up, with the traffic going towards the right. While it pulled down its passenger window, Neo realized he was out of smokes. He almost blew a blood vessel in his forehead from the disappointment and anger. The driver looked over at Leon through the open window and asked, “Where to, sirs?” “Eliwood Square.” Leon said, opening the back door and jumping in to the far left of the vehicle. Neo opened the front door and sat in the passenger seat, and Pendant sat in the back as well. She felt sick as she saw the back of the driver’s head, “Y-YOU!” Richie turned his head around, snickering, “Ah, little miss! You came to pay me back?” “As if.” Pendant muttered, closing the door after Neo did. “I got her pay right here.” Leon said, pulling out one of his pistols and pushing the barrel against Richie’s forehead. Richie yelped from the sudden threat, as did Pendant, “Leon, what are you thinking!?” “As if this guy won’t eventually recognize us. Whether it be when he gets home and watches the news on the television, or immediately reports us once he drops us off.” Leon explained, as Richie was starting to sweat bullets. But not real bullets, unfortunately for him. “But, after reading your mind a bit, I can see you’re quite the man who likes his share of gold!” Leon reached into his jacket, and pulled out a fair-sized sack that made jingling noises when Leon shook it behind Richie’s ear. Leon dropped it on Richie’s lap, “I’m sure that’ll cover for her ride and ours, plus a lot more.” He withdrew the pistol, and Richie slowly wrapped his hands around the bag. He opened it, and took a peek inside. He gasped a bit, the gold put sparkles in his eyes. “You’re not gonna get any pay if you simply report us, remember that.” Neo chuckled up front, “And I doubt you’re the kind of guy who would take all three of us down.” “Y-You’re all right! You’re alright! Very right.” Richie said, staring at the gold. It was as if he was speaking to it instead of the others, “Holy shit.” “NO SWEARING WHILE I’M IN THE CAR, MISTER!” Leon reached into his jacket again and cocked the fire-arm. Richie whimpered with the bag of gold in his hands, “Y-Yes sir!!” “Anyway…can we get moving, please? I suddenly don’t like being around this club here.” Said Neo. “Oh, y, yes. Of course.” Richie realized what he was supposed to do to keep the gold. He put the car in drive and started down the street, filled with the lights of Hotel ads, mini-marts, and all other kinds of businesses. ---/ Richie dropped the three off at Eliwood Square, home to dozens of fine hotels. Also with many themes, such as Roman, Western, and South-Eastern. Richie drove off, and the three walked down a couple corners, passing by many hotels that put Pendant in awe. When they reached their hotel of choice, the young girl was fairly disappointed that they had chosen to stay in a standard-looking hotel with nothing fancy like the Japanese styled one that they had passed by. They checked the counter and paid their fees. When they got their keys and entered the elevator, Neo looked at her in an annoyed manner, “What, not like you’re going to get laid here.” He quickly realized what he just said, “Oh, I mean, I didn’t just say what you thought I said. You’re completely correct and I am with you 100%.” He smiled and nodded peacefully. Just like his mother had taught him when he argued with his parents. The trick worked. Pendant didn’t comment on the absurd one that Neo had made. Either that or she was too tired to argue any more. But she apparently still had some in her, “I just can’t believe you guys gave that taxi driver that much money just to keep his mouth shut, and we have to be in such a plain-looking hotel for the night!” “Whoa, Pendant. You’d be surprised how much we get paid with the Warriors Guild.” Leon was beaming, leaving Pendant confused, “What? That much?” “No. That was fake money that we had captured on a certain mission.” Leon explained as the elevator dinged from going up a couple floors, “It was after a crime boss, who was creating counterfeit gold coins. It’s near to impossible to tell if it’s fake or not, so we took his bounty and took his treasure for ourselves.” “I almost feel guilty for using money I didn’t earn myself.” Neo sniffed, flipping a coin with his thumb and catching it in the air. Leon smiled, “Nice one. You almost sounded decent there for a second.” “How weird would that be?” Neo suddenly flinched, “H-Hey! I am to decent! In fact, I’m too decent! I make Rusticious look like the devil!” “Of course you do.” Leon gave a thin smile, then pointed straight at Neo’s face, “Now get that damn cigarette out of your mouth. Stop smoking that crap, it’s gross. It’s a bad habit.” “I got it under control!” Neo defended himself, “I can quit anytime I want! Just like that!” He snapped his fingers. “Yeah, says you. You pulled that thing out of the ashtray outside, you dirty hobo!” “IT WAS UNLIT AND UN-USED. That’s like leaving a baby outside in a cardboard box during a hurricane!” “Amazing metaphor.” Leon leered at him. He slammed his finger on a sticker on the elevator wall, saying, NO SMOKING. Neo grew a boil in his forehead, but crammed the cigarette against the metal elevator wall behind him, while leering back at Leon. The face-off would have continued, but the elevator door opened to their floor. They knew that the hotel had just closed, and that they could get fined for having a ruckus and alerting other hotel guests. Yeah, Asiko is one crap landlord, huh? They walked down the dark hallway quietly, Leon yawning and Neo smelling like a four-alarm fire. He planned on dousing himself with Tag when entering their room, which he did. He expected the warning label to work, for Pendant and all the other females on the floor to jump out of nowhere and humph him to the ground and not be able to keep their hands off of him, but it only resulted in Leon getting a nosebleed and Garet jumping out from the shadows and dry-humping him to the ground. Pendant slowly closed the door while covering her mouth with one hand, coughing from the mass and totally unnecessary amount of Tag Neo had sprayed himself with. She then realized the red-haired man on Neo, doing very sexual movements. If Marcus were there, he’d have a different nosebleed than the one Leon was having. Neo quickly threw Garet against the wall. Neo grasped the part of his torso where his heart would be, “G-G-GARET!! What the hell—WHAT!? Where’s the Captain!?” “He said he was going to get a breath of fresh air. He’ll be back later.” Garet explained, but quickly returned to the subject of Neo’s odd encounter, “But, I couldn’t resist. Didn’t you read the warning label?” “Yeah, FEMALES. God, I hope you’re not a…I’ve had too many experiences in the past!!” Neo started to break down. He waddled over to the corner and pulled out a handkerchief. Pendant was amazed, standing in front of the closed door. This was the all-star team that the Military had once been so proud of. These were the strongest men of the Military. These were the top-picks that Jaffar had chosen. A man with a bloody nose from a large can of after-shave, scared out of his wits because he’s afraid his white undershirt will stain from the blood he had spilled on it from his nose…one was holding the bathroom doorframe tight to resist himself from dry-humping another comrade…and the last was in the corner, cradling himself, while crying. Good God. It’s a good thing Neo was right, she certainly was not going to get laid in this hotel. |

Chapter 28 Pendant’s eyes flickered. She yawned, stretching beneath the sheets and covers that she was sleeping with, on her fairly cozy bed. She opened her eyes, noticing that there was no sun behind the drapes of the large window. It was still early morning. Her bed was the closest to the window, while a couple more beds were beside her’s. Leon had volunteered to sleep in the bathtub. Jaffar hadn’t returned, so Pendant decided to call it a night. She closed her eyes again, she would only wake up when either Jaffar was there, or the sun was up in the middle of the sky. She was horribly tired. Quickly, she opened her eyes. She heard a scream. Leon’s. She twirled around under the sheets, viewing the other side of the room. Once she was facing it, she was punched right in the face, unable to get a good view of the room. The punch was so powerful it forced her off the bed, and she fell off on the other side. She hesitated to pull herself back up. She heard the clashing of metal against metal, then Leon’s scream again. The pump of a shotgun. The firing of a shotgun. The firing of a pistol. Leon’s screaming stopping to a sudden halt. Pendant clenched her fist, and focused her psynergy. She was up against her bed, getting ready to strike back. She turned around and stood up on her knees, then released her clench in her fist. Lightning bolts poured out, but came to an abrupt stop into a psynergic dome-barrier. It was fairly dark, but Pendant could make out the conflict in the room. Although now, it was all over. Next she knew, she was slammed by an invisible force against the large window, with her wrists and ankles chained against it with psynergy. She saw Garet and Neo down. Neo was laying on his bed face-up, with a bullet wound in his stomach, then a sword slash to the face. He wasn’t moving. Pendant narrowed her eyes, this was a replica of the night of Hystrix’s death. Garet was face-down, on the same bed as Neo, beside him. He had a katana sticking out of his back, but Pendant could sense that he was still alive, somehow. He however, was remaining motionless with a jet-black machete in one hand. Behind them, she saw their attacker. It was the turban man, with blood over his robes. It was Neo and Garet’s however, not his own. She was terrified – Garet and Neo both didn’t stand a chance against him. Could he really be that strong? And Leon? His body was thrown out of the bathroom, smashed against the wall, and slid down, leaving a trail of his own scarlet blood. His skull was missing its skull cap, and his glasses had been crushed. He didn’t look like Leon anymore, only his clothes were recognizable. A young man with scruffy brown hair and a very large sword stepped out of the bathroom, unscratched. He carried a very large, thick silver sword, practically as tall as he. It looked so heavy, that it was physically impossible for the boy to lift it. But he did. With one hand. Odd characters were scribed on it, but Pendant did not have enough time to make them out. She suddenly felt a gust of air around her neck, and cold metal. It was the nightmare all over again. But this time she was still alive. The massive sword was against her throat, and Bosco’s face mere inches away from her’s. Pendant was helpless, staring at Bosco’s eyes nervously. His eyes were different. He was different. “She’ll be mine.” “Whatever you wish.” The Turban Man simply said. He walked closer up to Garet. Garet spun around and clashed swords with the Turban Man, who was off his guard. But that’s not saying much. As if by reaction, his jewel-filled katana parried Garet’s machete quickly, but roughly. Garet roared, his machete grew flames, but that was useless right now, except that Pendant could now clearly see the agony and rage in Garet’s face. She had never seen him like this. Not any of her friends. Bosco ignored Garet’s attack, and continued to lock eyes with Pendant. Pendant looked back, not sure what she could do in this situation but try to provide Garet with back-up with her supportive psynergy. Even if Bosco killed her, at least she would have helped her friend. “Angel Spear!!” Pendant yelled, psynergy waves flowing around her body. Garet’s body glowed a strong purple aura, and was starting to push the Turban Man back. Bosco didn’t do anything still, just breathing heavy and staring into Pendant’s eyes. The Turban Man took a couple steps back, recognizing Garet’s strength with the power of Pendant’s psynergy. He decided to use his actual strength now. Garet’s machete was forced out of his hands, after a few more parries and a powerful clang, his sword was flown to the ceiling and stuck in the concrete ceiling. Garet didn’t bother to look up as he used his own psynergy to return the sword to his hand quickly, just fast enough to block the quick jab the Turban man sent that would’ve finished him. His purple aura was not fading, and the ex-officer was using all his power to use it to its full potential. He knew that the Turban man could’ve killed him just then when he returned his sword, he was mocking him. Garet didn’t appreciate that. The door was abruptly blasted open by a gust of brutal wind. It took the attention away from the Turban man to Garet for a moment. Garet took the benefit of it, and lunged at his enemy with machete in hand, his fists glowing. The Turban man quickly turned his head back to Garet’s direction, and parried Garet’s lunge with his katana using a single hand on the hilt. Garet dropped the sword, grabbed the Turban man’s wrist that was holding the katana, and placed one of his hands onto the upper torso as he was falling, “Liquifier!!!” Garet screamed his war-cry as the fire flew out of his hand, and wrapped around the Turban man, head to toe. Garet grabbed the robes to keep himself up, and the other hand still holding the wrist. The wrist now in fact, was starting to melt from the extreme heat coming out from Garet’s palms. Now there was enough fire around the Turban man to cut him off from Pendant’s sight, who was amazed at Garet’s attack. “I’m going to savor this pain!” Garet roared, indicating the pain he was inflicting upon the Turban man, who was gritting his teeth and hissing. Now the fire tightened, and wrapped all around the Turban man’s body, even enveloping Garet, who was used to his own fire psynergy, even with Neo’s katana sticking out of his back. Molten lava was now pouring out of his palms, melting the flesh off of the Turban man, “Burn in hell, you bastard!!” Garet screamed. “Hahaha! HAHAHAHA!” The Turban man laughed while being eaten alive by the flames, “You entertain me, Garet, former officer of the military! But I’m quite tired of your endurance, someone being alive for so long while before me is quite annoying!” He opened his mouth, and inhaled deeply. The fire that was burning his skin and clothes were being absorbed, going to his mouth and going inside of him. His skin was suffering third-degree burns, and barley anymore of his clothes were still on. But he acted as if he hadn’t suffered a scratch, laughing after inhaling all the flames, “The revolution begins.” He raised his jeweled katana, with Pendant watching, horrified. Jaffar entered the scene and swung his high-classed military katana at the head of the Turban Man. The Turban man parried the blow, but was unable to block the swing of Garet’s machete across his torso. The Turban man was cut in half, then Jaffar finished him off and removed the head from the shoulders swiftly, with his black bandana waving in the after-wind of his psynergic attack that blew the door down. Pendant felt the pressure on her neck disappear. She realized Bosco was gone, and was in the fray of battle, so fast Pendant didn’t even realize it in time. One swoop of a sword, and Garet fell. She heard spraying of blood, Garet screaming. Jaffar gagged. Pendant closed her eyes shut, crying and flinching each time she heard her friends get hurt. She promised herself when she joined the military that she would protect everyone, including her friends and herself. She would never be caught helpless. This wasn’t real. She wanted to wake up. “Hey, wake up.” “H-huh!?” Pendant opened her eyes, looking for the voice. The scene had paused. Sword stuck through Jaffar’s shoulder, Garet on the ground, Bosco looking triumphant. Frozen. Further ahead of them, the skull-cap-less Leon was staring at Pendant. Or at least she thought. He was talking with his blood pouring down his face, “Pendant, wake up.” He said with a creepy smile. Pendant was shocked and confused at the same time. She didn’t understand. Then she felt being pushed and shoved. She didn’t like it. She narrowed her eyes, then the scene disappeared entirely. It was replaced with the same room, but in a different condition. And with a sunglass-less Leon standing above her, grabbing her shoulder. He looked concerned, staring at the former Major of the military. She was in her bed, in the middle of the night still. So it was a dream. “Mn, mn…what?” Pendant moaned, somewhat happy that the nightmare had ended. She didn’t enjoy those nightmares. “You were tossing and turning. Mumbling some stuff too.” Pendant looked over at Leon’s hand, at her shoulder. It was glowing and some psynergic ripples flowed with it. She gave him a sleepy glare. “Reading my mind?” “Hey, it seemed to have been an interesting dream from your physical reactions.” The cheery gunslinger smiled, but it quickly faded away, “Sorry you had to see that, though…disturbing stuff. Bosco killing us? Sure got an imagination there…” “…” Pendant fell silent, glancing over at the sleeping Garet and Neo in the other beds next to her. She had to make sure with her own eyes that they were safe, which they were, of course. “…that’s not the first time I’ve had a dream of Bosco being like that.” “Really?” Leon scratched the back of his head, “Well…I sometimes get dreams, and sometimes they’re visions of the future. Me being a wind adept, and all…but they’re never clear like that. They’re usually very foggy. After I wake up I feel heavily baked.” “Oh. Really?” Pendant looked up at Leon, curious, “Can’t say I’ve gotten a dream like that before, though…huh. What kind of visions did you have?” “Ah, small stuff. Like meeting friends, small fry-enemies…nothing that’s really saved my life.” Leon nodded, “But don’t worry. I’m sure that was just a simple nightmare. I mean, I’m the author of this story, why would I kill myself?” “Plot twist?” “At the cost of my character dieing? No way. I’m just too cool!” Leon gleamed a smile, and stroked his beautiful white hair. Stars in the night skylight twinkled behind him, out the window. “But no one would really see it coming. Like with Hystrix and stuff, I mean, last time you killed what, Yuan? He wasn’t that favored among the people…people didn’t care. But killing you would make people feel less safe with their characters.” “I guess that’s true.” “But I’m the female lead. You can’t kill me off, I’m too cute and important <3~” “Right, beautiful.” Leon rolled his eyes, “Anyway, let’s get back on track with this plot. I’m supposed to walk off at this point and say good night and stuff, then we wake up the next morning. Garet gets a bad case of morning wood.” “Ew. What about Jaffar?” “Doesn’t return because his character is too cool, of course.” “Ah, right. Well, g’night.” “Night.” ---/ The next morning, Pendant woke up, not feeling that refreshed. She looked at the alarm clock with computer-red letters, reading 10:30. Bleh, she had woken up late, and she still was tired. She looked over at Neo and Garet’s beds, which only had Neo sitting on his own, all clean and dressed, holding his actual shotgun on his lap. He was cleaning it with a white rag. He wasn’t smoking at the moment. Pendant got up and stretched, yawning. Neo turned his head around and saw Pendant looking out the window in her clothes that she was wearing last night. Neo was fairly tired himself, still, “Morning.” He said lazily. “G’morning. Where’s everyone else?” Pendant asked, picking up her backpack full of clothes. She walked past Neo to enter the bathroom to take a quick shower. “Leon and Garet were at a restaurant across the street a couple hours ago for breakfast. They should be returning any minute now.” “And Jaffar?” “Didn’t come back. Good thing he didn’t, it was a pretty bad sight when Garet got up…” “Why?” “You don’t want to know. Trust me.” “Really, why?” Pendant asked, sticking her head out the door with the shower water on. “You really want to know?” “I think so.” “Well, it’s not a matter of thinking. It’s knowing. This is serious business.” “Right. Well, forget it. I’m wasting important time doing this…” She closed and locked the door. Neo continued cleaning his shotgun, being quite relaxed. Pendant quickly opened the door again, with a toothbrush hanging out of her mouth, “What happened?” “He made a massive erection.” “Lucky him.” Pendant closed the door, aggravated. She had to hang out with such losers. And of course, Jaffar was no where in sight, even though Leon had called him with his wind psynergy via Mind Read. It apparently worked, Garet was there… Where was Jaffar? Meanwhile, on the other side of the wall, in the hotel hallway…a room door across from Pendant’s opened. A man’s voice was heard, quite flamboyant. He giggled, “Aaaah. What a lovely shower! I’m off for a little breakfast, guys! I’ll be right back!” “Wait, I’m going with you. I’m hungry too.” Bosco dashed out the door after Marcus. The carefree leader of Anti-Boon smiled, “Alrighty then. Anyone else coming?” He asked, walking down the hallway. No one answered, so Marcus shrugged, “Their loss. Dudealadude’s Restaurant across the street from here is to die for~” He walked up to the elevator and pushed the button to go down. Bosco waited patiently, crossing his arms over. Marcus looked down at him, “So, slept well?” “I guess. I had a nightmare, but it was nothing big.” “If you say so.” Said Marcus. The elevator doors opened, dinging as they slid open. Marcus quickly reached for his sword, as did Bosco. Jaffar had his military katana drawn, standing within the elevator. His face was solid, as it usually was. His black bandana covered his right eye, while his left eye grew flames in them. Marcus laughed while in his battle position, “Why, Jaffar! Want to come with me and Bosco-boy here to Dudealadude’s right across the street? It’s to die for~” |

Just posting to let you know I'm still reading. Really nice work. The plot is becoming very interesting at this point, with the nightmare and all. Keep it up.
