Chapter 35 “Dang, strong as an ox, fast as a mustang!” Mind Bomber grunted, getting a close call from the Turban Man’s jewel-blade. Mind Bomber jumped back to avoid his enemy’s range, then twirled a revolver in each hand, going at a ridiculous speed, whipping the air. The cowboy then went trigger happy on the Turban man, firing dozens of bullets at once. Once he ran out of bullets in the revolvers, he reloaded them quickly with water psynergy, firing cold and hard ice bullets instead of the lead. The Turban Man spun his blade before Mind Bomber pulled the trigger, and by the time the first bullet was fired, the Turban man had built enough velocity in his sword that it spun clockwise before him, and it almost looked like a solid jewel shield had appeared before him. The bullets never made contact with the Turban man, only bounced off his sword. The combination of gun fire and bullets making contact with metal was nearly deafening for Bob, who was yelling to make his voice clear to Mind Bomber, “This is #006, bullets practically do not work on him when he is not distracted!” “What tha hell!? How can this mutt move so dang fast!?” Mind Bomber growled, still firing. “He cannot feel fatigue, it’s impossible for him to tire out. His physical abilities are also extremely potent, so the pair call for a dangerous…” “So then all I gotta do is go for the headblow! Gotcha, Bobbito!” Marcus gave Bob the thumbs-up, then dove back into the fray. Before Bob could stop Marcus’s recklessness, the anti-boon leader went up behind the Turban Man, and re-drew his katana that had already slain countless boons, ready to make another mark. The Turban Man looked down at Marcus, still twirling his blade with both hands to stop the bullets. “This is gonna hurt!” Marcus yelled, thrusting the sword to where the Turban Man’s heart was resting. ---/ Reaver stood on top of Jedi’s building, wearing his military uniform open. He held the switch in one hand still, disappointed with the results. Before him was Apocalypse pointing his large katana at Reaver, on the other side of the building near the staircase. The boon colonel laughed, “Hah! Not who I expected to come all the way up here. Tell me, Lieutenant, how did you find me here?” “That’s not important right now. All I know is that you have threatened the good city of Fef, and that you have attempted to kill Senator Jedi’s wife and daughter. You are no honorable Colonel. You are not human. You have a leadership role in the boon army, and while I do not fully understand what Colonel Jaffar is doing and all this boon business…” Apocalypse suddenly shifted into his battle position, holding his katana with both hands and brining it up to his eye level, pointing the tip towards Reaver. “But one thing is for certain – you are my enemy!!” Bryars stood up, closing the door that led to the stairs after safely putting the two hostages at the stairway indoors. He drew his own katana, ready to strike down Reaver, “I was always a little suspicious about you ever since the last time Marcus had escaped from the prison, but I never expected this to happen.” “But wait…what did you do with…how did you stop the noob from exploding?” Reaver asked. “Noob? I do not understand what you are talking about.” Apocalypse answered, shaking his head. “Hmph. Fine. I’ll re-evaluate the situation later. As for now, you have drawn your swords against me.” Reaver reached for his sword, smiling vilely, “I’ll end this quickly.” Reaver dashed forward to meet with Apocalypse, but the fierce lieutenant unleashed another wave of his powerful earth psynergy, this time being multiple but smaller blasts of Ragnorok. The psynergic swords twirled in the sky and crashed onto the building’s top floor, aiming for Reaver. But despite all of the explosions the swords gave off and the sheer power of them, Reaver remained unscratched as he dashed through each wave of Ragnorok blasts. Bryars focused his psynergy within his body, then called upon it to strike the enemy, “Glacier!!” Ice particles appeared all over the ground, and started to build up dramatically during all of the ragnorok attacks. It grew and grew, starting to hold down Reaver’s feet. But the colonel leapt high up in the air, and his airtime was so long it seemed like he was flying. Apocalypse and Bryars noticed this, but what caught their attention more was what happened when Reaver drew his double katana blades. Reaver produced a line of clones of himself on each side of him, totaling up to a full dozen. Apocalypse and Bryars turned as white as ghosts when they saw what seemed like a circus act. The pair now knew that they had probably bit off more than they could chew, but both still stood their ground, ready to cut down as many Reavers as they could once their feet had touched the ground. They never got the chance. A whirlwind entered the scene between the two sides, kicking up dust in the area. Bryars and Apocalypse shielded their eyes with their arms from the dust, while also trying to keep an eye on the battlefield. Robes were being blown in the harsh winds in front of them, but now they took off and were all over. They could hear Reaver yelling, and a loud smash rumble the ground, again and again. They couldn’t see what was going on, but it was safe to say that Reaver had another enemy to fight. The dust cleared, and the aftermath was all of the Reavers down on the ground. Defeated, bleeding, some body parts severed. There were large holes in the ground, where a large blade had been smashed into. Standing before the Reavers was a large man, wearing white robes and bearing a powerful aura. He had blue hair, and was the spitting image of that big lord guy with the axe from that Fire Emblem game Bryars had played on the Game Boy. His back was turned towards them, with a large axe touching the ground, he holding the grip of it. All of the Reavers disappeared in a puff of smoke, save one laying before the large man with an axe. Apocalypse recognized the man who defeated Reaver soundly, “That silver axe…Rusticious!?” “What? It can’t be!” Bryars exclaimed, taking a step forward. “I had heard legends of him defeating a horde of enemies in the Great War decades ago…but General-Commander Rock took his place, he was reported dead!” “He certainly doesn’t look it.” Apocalypse pointed out. He stared over at the defeated Reaver, who had suffered a large gash on his right shoulder. He also had the markings of taking a large beating, with bruises all over his face, and his clothes dirty. Apocalypse walked over to the side of Rusticious to check out Reaver closer. Bryars hesitated at first, but followed his fellow Lieutenant. Apocalypse looked up at the silent and still Rusticious, then down at Reaver. The man was panting hard, each breath getting weaker. Apocalypse pointed his large katana down at Reaver’s throat, “I want to know everything, Reaver. Now.” “Hah…hahahaha!” Reaver laughed, but stopped with a harsh cough. “I have no reason to explain myself to you. But I must…give my regards to Rusticious. My…so that’s how the noob…why the noob didn’t work.” He shifted his eyes to Rusticious, “Only one such as you has the brains and ability to do something like that. But…” Reaver looked up towards the sky, then gave another weak laugh, “You’ll never be able to defeat our leader…he has the all-powerful plan. He shall be the one to purify this land of your human filth…if we boons cannot rule this land, then…no one shall!” “Leader? Who is your leader!?” Bryars asked, but Reaver merely chuckled, then moved his head weakly to the side, and closed his eyes. His breathing stopped. “Damn!” Apocalypse cursed, withdrawing his blade. He looked up at Rusticious, who was another head taller than he. Apocalypse had never needed to look up when speaking to someone, he was the tallest member of the military. Rusticious was practically a monster. “I do not understand why you are here, former Commander-General, but I do still wish to know what is going on here.” Rusticious acted as if Apocalypse didn’t even speak to him, only stood still staring at the horizon. The sun was setting. The city was turning red from the burning sun. Apocalypse didn’t care, “Sir. As an officer of this city, I cannot just sit by here and not do anything if it is in danger. You must understand, sir.” “…the boy. I must go.” Rusticious turned around, and started to walk slowly forward. Apocalypse went after him, “Sir!” “Farewell, officers of the military.” Rusticious muttered, then the same whirlwind appeared around Rusticious, and he disappeared. Apocalypse was left standing where the former General had just stood, angry at the muteness that his former commander had given him. Bryars walked up to him, silent as well. Then he turned towards Reaver’s body, and shrugged with a smirk, “How does a drink sound to you, Apoc?” ---/ “U-Urgh!!” Time froze at the battle scene in the lab of the boons. Marcus was on one knee. He forgot how he got there, but he was. He rolled his eyes down to see a jewel-filled katana down at his chest, which had gone through it. He could feel it going through his back. It was so quick, that he still had his katana pointed up towards where the Turban Man’s heart was. Marcus gagged again, and dropped the blade, falling slowly to the ground. When the katana hit the ground, it made a loud echo in the large room. The Turban Man’s eyes were cold, which was the only part of his face that Marcus could see. “Does it hurt, Marcus?” he asked in a low whisper. |

Snap Marcus is stabbed and Reaver is revealed to not be the leader. I do have an idea who might be the leader but if it is Leon did a good job of hiding it since he has only really appeared once. |

You were for one chapter. You shot the Turban Man but then in the end got killed by...DUN DUN DUN. Remember, if you see any kind of grammar/spelling mistakes, please feel free to correct :x Chapter 36 Bosco stood silent by a dark corner of the large room, evading the gaze of Harem. He was hiding behind a large tube that he suspected a boon had been harvested in, with a few dozen more behind him. All of them were empty and clean. He grew terrified when he saw Marcus get cut down. He forgot how to move, and forgot temporally where he was and why he was there. When it all came back to him, he heard a loud cry fill the air. “MARCUUUUS!!” Zephyr scrambled off the floor, pushing his strength. He had just recently suffered a strong attack by Harem’s revolver, but seeing Marcus get a sword stuck in him sparked a new source of energy within him. Revenge. Zephyr dashed forward and drew his katana. The Turban Man stared down the dark room to see Zephyr come at him, a couple dozen yards away. The Turban man pushed Marcus’s torso with his foot and took his blade out, making a sickening sound of a blade exiting deep flesh. Marcus fell backwards on his back, gagging. Mind Bomber couldn’t believe his eyes. His partner had just fallen. Hell, his partner just got injured, he’d never seen Marcus get hurt before. But this was worse, he could die very soon. Mind Bomber gritted his teeth, then pointed both revolvers squarely at the back of the Turban Man’s head, “Don’t you turn yer back on me, son of a bitch!!” Instead of firing his revolvers, Mind Bomber put both of his hands down on the floor. He focused his psynergy and ice spilled onto the floor from his hands. It spread quickly over to the Turban Man, pulling his feet down. Before the Turban Man could escape it, it was already too late. The ice grew all the way up to his waist, then to his shoulders. The ice was several inches thick. The Turban Man had to point his head far up to avoid his mouth getting covered over. Zephyr was already several feet from the Turban Man, within attack range. He raised his sword up to his eye level while dashing, holding the handle with both hands. He was about to explode with rage, but decided to put the energy to better use by using all of it in one powerful deathblow. Zephyr brought his sword above his head, standing straight in front of the Turban Man. As his katana went down, he roared fiercely, “This is when you die, bastard!!” “Really.” His right arm broke through the thick ice and grabbed Zephyr’s katana with one hand, stopping the attack. He then struggled a bit and his other hand became free, which he used to slug Zephyr in the face. Zephyr fell down like a stone in water, then suffered a kick in the face. The Turban Man had gotten free easily from Mind Bomber’s powerful psynergy all by himself. Zephyr couldn’t believe it, neither could Mind Bomber. The Turban Man took advantage of Zephyr’s inability to strike back immediately, but not to the full extent of killing him. He kicked Zephyr down on the ground again, in the back. The kick was so fierce Zephyr rolled over a few times, and the Turban Man ran up to meet him again. He rolled Zephyr’s front onto the ground, and put his foot on the back of his neck. He lowered his sword arm, along with his guard. He pushed his foot against Zephyr’s skull, pushing Zephyr’s face into the ground. “Pathetic. What did you all expect? I am a creation built for killing. I am not like those pushovers that you killed so many of, the ones that were so ignorant they didn’t know their birth.” Mind Bomber re-loaded one of his revolvers and pointed it at the Turban Man’s forehead. Before his finger touched the trigger, the Turban Man stopped him with his words, “I should tell you right now that the chances of that weapon instantly killing me are extremely slim.” “Might as well take that chance then, no?” “Well, that’s one way to think.” The Turban Man said, agreeing, but still almost no trace of personality in his voice. He then pushed Zephyr’s head harder, almost crushing his nose. Zephyr groaned in pain as his attacker spoke over him, “The other is to lower your weapon or else I’ll crush your friend’s neck here. You’re a mercury, water adept, correct? Make yourself useful and help your friend over there before he croaks.” Bosco twitched a little in his right eye, then noticed his whole right arm was trembling, along with his left. He wasn’t sure if it was fear or not, but that’s what he figured when he saw Mind Bomber lower his gun in agony. He then noticed Harem toying with Rock, even more than the Turban Man was with the three leaders of Anti-Boon and the scientist who had created all of them. Harem transformed into JediSSJ and used simple non-lethal hand-to-hand combat against Rock, fully knowing that it was difficult for Rock’s heart to swing at a close friend. Rock almost never struck back, and when he tried to, it was a clear and easy miss. Bosco hid back behind the tube, clenching his fists so tight. He retreated his face into his lap, about to break into tears. This wasn’t what Marcus’s training had taught him to do. He didn’t even know why he ran all the way over there, it was a reaction once he saw the Turban Man. Why the hell am I so weak!? Suddenly, Bosco felt overwhelming power. His trembling stopped, his face out of his lap. He wiped the tears off his cheeks, then proceeded to stand up and draw his katana. Bosco didn’t understand what was going on, his body was moving on its own. Then, he let it take him over. “What?” The Turban Man turned his head around, after hearing an odd sound go off behind him. He saw a dash of speeding light coming towards him, which he replied by getting his foot off of Zephyr and clashing his jewel katana against the dashing beam of light. They clashed like swords, with the same sound. But Bob quickly realized that the beam of light was nothing ordinary. Not psynergy at all. Harem noticed it too, after knocking Rock down again. While Harem cursed, Bob almost praised, but in disbelief, “What…it can’t be…” Bosco was seen clashing his katana against the Turban Man’s, but looking a lot more spiffy than usual. He had silver, glowing aura wings sprouting out of his back, that didn’t seem to take physical form. His entire body had a light, transparent white aura surrounding him, which glowed brighter then dimmed down after a couple seconds. His hair, bandana, entire clothing was being ruffled as if a giant gust of wind was blowing at him. He also was not on the ground, but hovering about a foot above the ground. His face also looked very blank, but confident. Harem narrowed his eyes, angry at what he was seeing, “Eagle, you fool! You shouldn’t have brought out his feelings by torturing his allies! Now look what you’ve done!” Eagle kept his eyes locked with Bosco, still grinding his sword against Bosco’s. Neither side seemed over-matched, Eagle noticed. “So, this is the valkyrie that I’ve heard so much of…let’s see if you were built as well as I was told.” “By golly…” Mind Bomber said in awe, standing only several feet away from the terrifying clash. “MB! Get over here!” Mind Bomber turned around, seeing Bob holding Marcus’s head up. He looked at the wound, then back up at MB, “Get Zephyr over here and use your mercury psynergy!” “B-But little ol’ Bosco…” “He’s no longer Bosco! He can handle this, just get over here before you get killed!” Mind Bomber turned his head around to still see Bosco and Eagle clashing swords, both keeping their feet still but their arms swinging. Bosco didn’t seem intimidated at all by Eagle’s speed, which seemed to be equal to his own. Mind Bomber nodded, “Yes, sir!” He went for Zephyr’s beaten-up self. Harem stood on the other side of the large room in aggravation. Still in the form of JediSSJ, he gritted his teeth and pounded one foot into the ground, “Damn! How am I supposed to counter this?” “Stop thinking about a battle that you’re not in!” Rock slammed his axe down where Harem had just stood, only to cleave his axe into the ground. Harem was behind him, crossing his arms over, “So you have gotten enough courage to finally strike me with everything you’ve got? About time, General.” Rock swung his axe around where he heard the source of the voice, which was blocked by a thin, powerful katana. Harem had just transformed into Jaffar, with the bandana covering his right eye, but still wearing his old military uniform. He had the sword pressed against the axe flat, and put one hand on the sword and pushed to keep the powerful axe from slamming down onto him. Neither one seemed to be in control of the struggle, but Harem seemed confident that the ball was in his court, “Still no match for me!” Harem then seemed to change his mind. He slipped down under, sliding down between Rock’s legs, abandoning his sword. While he did, another Rock had appeared behind where Harem had stood, and couldn’t stop the momentum in his large axe. He swung hard and got the other Rock in the right shoulder, but instead of a splatter-like sound, it was more of a crack. The Rock who had suffered damage didn’t seem to feel much damage either, instead he stepped out of Rock’s axe that was digging in his shoulder, some rock chips crumbing down while he did so. When the Rock walked it also made a loud stomp. Harem chuckled, looking at both Rocks with interest, “A…golem is the right word? Maybe just a double made of dirt and stone, but same thing. Not bad, General.” He then clapped his hands in applause, and while he did he transformed yet again. This time into Neo in military uniform, and held the large shotgun at the fleshy Rock, “But like I said, I’m better.” |
