Chapter 38 Marcus kept his smile on and followed Jaffar over to the large elevator. As he walked, he limped slightly on the first step, but afterwards started to walk healthily again. Bob noticed, huffing a large sigh under his breath. The scientist then made up his mind, and went for the elevator as well, “Hey, wait up!” Jaffar and Marcus were already in the elevator, Jaffar about to press a button on the wall that would bring them down. He paused when he heard Bob call after them, and before he knew it, Bob was in the elevator with him also. Marcus chuckled, “Gonna come to join the party, Bobbito?” “I need to. You do not know what is down there, and I’m the only one who knows these boons’s weaknesses.” “I was waiting to hear you say that, Mr. Bob.” Jaffar said, pressing the button. “Going down.” The elevator doors closed, and it disappeared, going down into the floor. Neo watched from afar by the first line of defending crates. He puffed out another smoke ring and loaded his shotgun all while the fierce pounding noise was echoing in the room. Leon and Neo were up behind the first crates where the room started to open up, the pair taking out all of their equipment and readying it. Leon glanced over at Neo, who was reaching into the pockets of his bulletproof vest for ammunition. “You got any frags?” “Can’t leave home without ‘em.” Neo said, pulling out a grenade. “Flash bangs? Smoke bombs?” “They’ve been collecting dust for a while.” Leon snickered, but his smile disappeared when a couple of hinges broke off from the steel door, and the large crate against the door budged a bit. Roaring could be heard, coming from the other side. Neo raised an eyebrow, “What’s with all the noise?” “Aye… those rabid things have gone ballistic.” Mind Bomber said, then muttered something. Neo turned his head around to the southern sharpshooter, confused, “Ballistic?” “Yes’ir, their angry level has reached its peak. I remember Bobby tellin’ me one day that them elite boons explode when they are angry ‘nough.” Mind Bomber said, then bit his lower lip, “Dang, this ain’t good.” Leon felt a sweat drop go down the back of his neck, he didn’t like the current situation he was in. He laughed nervously, “Ah…ha…b-blow up? I’m really gonna need a raise.” “Something tells me that these are just pawns, though.” Pendant said, “Least, I hope so. I mean, there is so many of them…” Zephyr spoke over the roaring menaces on the other side of the door, who were starting to push the crate further, “You’re probably right. All these worms can do is just act inhuman and outlandish, like what happens to one of us when you’ve been loaded up on steroids. Heheheheheh…this is gonna be entertaining.” After another loud roar pierced Garet’s ear, the former lieutenant colonel pointed over at the door, tapping Neo on the shoulder, “Hey guys, how about y’know…we take care of this situation now?” Neo nodded, puffing on his cigarette, and pulling the latch off the grenade. “Cover me.” Leon nodded, but then realized what Neo just said. “W-Wait, cover you!? What are you—!?” Before he knew it, Neo ran down the hallway and was at the door, behind the crate. Neo leaned over the crate and tossed the grenade out the door that had a creak for an opening. The grenade went through, and Neo quickly hit the ground behind the crate, “Fire in the hole!” Garet and Leon did likewise, and a large explosion occurred on the other side of the door, pulling all the hinges off the door, but didn’t budge the large crate that much. Neo stood back up and retreated back to the front lines where Leon was, but saw Leon point behind him. Neo turned his head around and saw that the boons behind it were trying to pull the door open, but it was far too crowded to do so, and none of the boons apparently had a teamwork strategy going. Neo cursed and pointed the barrel of his shotgun at the small open creak at the door, and fired continuously while stepping back slowly to Leon. Leon pointed both of his pistols down the hallway, but couldn’t fire due to Neo being in his crosshairs. He pounded the bottom of one of his pistols against the crate, yelling at Neo, “Get your ass over here!” When Neo finally did, there was a boon arm hanging out from the almost fully opened door. Leon and Neo shot at it viciously until it fell down to the ground, then re-loaded their weapons. While they were doing do, the door was pulled open and revealed what was behind it. A large number of boons, numbering perhaps a thousand, filling up the very large lab. All of them wore identical military uniforms with military katanas, and they all rushed forward, but they had to start by jumping and crawling over the large crate blocking their way. “Aw, shit.” Neo cursed again, then pulled the trigger a large number of times pointing the big hole in the gun down the hallway which fired really big pieces of lead that made really big holes in the boons. Leon did likewise, but knew he’d eventually run out of ammo. If he resorted to psynergy, he could hold them back for only so long. “I really…wasn’t planning on dying like this.” “How exactly were you planning it, then?” Neo asked, yelling over the loud bangs and recoil his shotgun gave. “Oh, I dunno. Alcohol poison, STDs, assassinated by some real cool ninja…you?” “Lung cancer seems the sucky way to go, so I figured if I get diagnosed with it I’d jump off City Hall or something.” “Just shut up and shoot!” Pendant roared behind the pair, aggravated by Leon’s death fantasies and how they were taking the situation so lightly. ---/ The place was even more underground than the previous labs, no windows or anything at all. The only sources of light in the room were from the blinking lights on computer screens and keyboards, and at the middle of the back wall was a wide tube that hugged the wall, and had a faint, green light to it. Inside it was materials that resembled what would be inside a lava lamp, and it moved around like one too. Before the middle of it was a fair-sized man, wearing a business suit, black jacket. He looked handsome and dignified, also sporting a black, thin cane that matched his suit. In front of him, at the bottom of a couple stairs from the large tube, was another man who had a flock of ravens swarming around him, and a couple perched on his shoulders. He wore large clothing, making him look a lot bigger than he really was. It was simply a large trench coat and baggy, black pants. His face looked somewhat pale, but he didn’t look much depressed. The man in the suit spoke to him in light British accent, “So, they’re coming this way? Just a few of them?” “Apparently so.” The raven-man replied calmly, “What should we do with him?” The raven man nudged his head to his right, or the dignified man’s left. At a wall, knocked out and suffering a bloody lip, was JediSSJ. The raven man spoke while his pets squawked, “I don’t see any further use with him. If we use him as a hostage, Marcus and Jaffar would more than likely allow one sacrifice for the sake of the entire city and their group.” “I don’t get any kicks for unnecessary deaths, personally.” The man in a suit shrugged, “If the humans are supposed to defeat us here, then they can take back their last Senator. They deserve it.” “Eaichu, don’t tell me after all this you’re going to give up!?” The other exclaimed, more than likely being Harem in his true form. Eaichu shook his head in response, “No, no. I’ll fight to the death, after all, everyone and everything living within a 100-mile radius will be destroyed anyway.” “When will you start that process, anyway?” “Worst case scenario.” Eaichu answered, but didn’t continue when a slamming was heard on the other side of the room. An elevator came down, and opened its doors. Jaffar and Marcus casually walked in, followed by a cautious Bob. Bob held little weaponry, just casual clothes and his fire psynergy that wasn’t as strong as most trained in the military. Harem turned around at the entry of the three, and slowly nodded. Eaichu made a quiet chuckle and stroked the top of his cane with a single thumb. The head of his cane was the head of a bald eagle, with piercing eyes. The three stopped a good couple dozen yards away from the antagonists, no one on either side looked intimidated, excluding Bob. After no one decided to go first to speak, Marcus broke the silence, “I got dibs on the one with all the birds.” “Fine by me.” Jaffar muttered, holding the handle of his katana that was sleeping in the braggart. Eaichu sighed. He then scratched the back of his head, gazing at all three in front of him, “I don’t understand why, with the esteemed Bob, that you didn’t bring the valkyrie with you. I must’ve given all three of you too much credit.” “What’s the point, when there is only one boon?” Jaffar asked, “One boon that couldn’t cleanly kill the General. I’m pretty sure that two former Lieutenant Colonels could do what one rusty General could not. Can’t say that I expected a Senator to have sided with the boons though.” “O-Oh dear.” Bob muttered behind the two, which made Jaffar re-think his last statement. He turned his head around to face Bob with half his face towards him, the other towards Eaichu and Harem. “What?” “That…was the senator, but…I’m pretty sure that…” Bob suddenly turned as white a ghost, and stumbled on finding the words, “Uh…that uh…” “Spit it out, sir.” “I’m pretty sure that that is #21, which is…Jaffar, you were right when you said that he is no boon. That is only half true, though.” “What do you mean?” It then clicked in for Marcus, and the boon killer looked a bit surprised, “Aw, you’re kidding, right? He’s the one? I had so many damn chances to slit the guy’s throat. If I knew that…” “Mind filling me in? Our A-Class scientist is having trouble with the English language.” Jaffar muttered. “Uh well, you see…Bobby here had a little fun making boons and all that, and wanted to…experiment a bit.” “…experiment? The zero numbers were not enough?” Jaffar asked, unimpressed. “Yeah. Wanted to make an uber-boon. Guy made a thing called a uhh…what’s it called?” “Nether-Angel.” Jaffar rolled his eyes when he heard the title, “Very original, sir.” “Thing ain’t a boon or human. You can’t even read it or anything with mind-reading. Probably why Leon didn’t notice the guy.” Marcus shrugged, which made Jaffar look around the room for the other sign of life, and noticed JediSSJ laying against the wall. Jaffar bit his lip, he knew he couldn’t just run and grab the fallen senator. “Anyway, the guy broke out and kicked the crap out of this dump. Apparently took control of the boons here, and one of those guys that is probably trying to take over humanity or something…he has an actual brain, actual intelligence, not artificial…ain’t as powerful as the valkyrie, though.” Marcus laughed, “Bosco would do the one-two and the guy’d be all over the wall.” “Lovely to know that the so-popular Marcus knows so much about me.” Eaichu snickered, pointing the cane towards them. “But you’re wrong about what I want. I don’t want to rule humanity. I want to destroy it. I was developed to destroy humans, and that is exactly what I am doing. Humans want war, and that is such a terrible idea, pointless, really. So I’ll just take the duty of liberating this world.” “He has an actual brain and the best he can come up with is that?” Jaffar asked, unimpressed yet again. “You would think that one with such high intelligence would have made an ingenuis way to enslave the humans that created him, and he wouldn’t lift a finger for the rest of his life.” “Isn’t that your fantasy, Jaffar?” Marcus asked, but Jaffar quickly changed the subject. “But you’re all telling me that this…angel thing, actually crawled its way into politics, and was appointed a Senator?” “Well, it’s pretty easy to make your way up to the top when you got a friend that can act like anyone, make little jokes such as, ‘Yeah, I appoint you as Mayor!’, then ‘Pledge to the Fef code and claim your title as Supreme Judge!’, and etcetera…” Eaichu said, laughing. Harem could only let out a thin smile, and remained silent. “But, you want to stop me from destroying humanity, correct?” Eaichu asked, not waiting for an answer, “Then let’s hurry it up, I’m a busy man. None of you are a match for me at full power, quite simply. But to warm myself up, I’ll start at say…35% of my actual strength?” Eaichu then was gone from the place he was standing in, and Jaffar was smacked hard across the face by a long, metal thing. He bent down to hold his stinging face, and looked up to see Eaichu standing before him, tapping his cane on Jaffar’s skull lightly in a toying manner, “Oh, sorry. You want a head-start?” Jaffar lowered his hand quickly to grab his sword out of the braggart, but only grabbed thin air. He realized his own sword was pointed down at his throat, already drawn by Eaichu. Jaffar was stunned, he didn’t expect anything to be so fast. Marcus drew his own sword and clashed Jaffar’s katana away from his face, but a bright flash of light interrupted the battle. Jaffar and Marcus jumped back, as well as two Bobs. All the humans realized this, and both Bobs had an identical reaction. They jumped back again, spooked a bit. Jaffar picked up his fallen sword, and noticed that Eaichu had taken a seat in front of the large tube, watching the scene unfold. Harem had disappeared. Jaffar looked at both Bobs, both of which had the same exact clothing and everything. Jaffar sighed, “I thought you said you are a busy man.” “Don’t make good time, make time good! That’s what I say!” Eaichu laughed. Both Bobs then eyed each other with a little fear in their eyes, but suddenly jumped at each other and pressed their index and middle finger against the other’s forehead, and yelled, “STOP THIS!” “I-I’ll blow you up! I will!” Both said, at the same time. “Dammit! Someone, help me! I’m the real Bob!” Jaffar and Marcus glanced at each other, and nodded. They both dashed in, ready to kill the imposter, Harem. If they killed Bob, then he’d understand that it was a necessary sacrifice. Right? |

Too long...*head-desk* Chapter 39 Fading back to his original form, Harem felled backwards with two large sword wounds in his torso, and hit the ground, nearly dead. Bob stood beside the fallen boon, still scared stiff from the large threat to his life. Harem looked up at Jaffar And Marcus’s bloody swords, and muttered, “How did you…so quickly…” Marcus tapped the top of his head with his knuckle, “Bobby put a device in my head that can pick up the trace of boons, it sometimes tickles when I get dizzy.” “I can read minds. Duh.” Jaffar bluntly said, turning around as Harem coughed weakly. “Sir, it’s…up to you…” Harem muttered, then passed away. His body was then engulfed by ravens, squawking from the blood that had been spilled. They then turned to dust, as did Harem’s carcass. Eaichu stood up at the top of the few stairs, shaking his head at Harem’s futile attempt to kill the scientist that had created them. “Then there was one. Looks like I’m going to have to not pull any punches on this one.” Eaichu twirled his cane with one hand as if he were in color guard in High School, and it suddenly turned into a large RPG Launcher, which Eaichu was capable to hold with a single hand. The human trio were extremely shocked by this, none of them knew how to react to this or defend themselves. Jaffar pushed Bob out of the way, behind a table and Marcus rushed forward as fast as he could before Eaichu would fire. Eaichu fired before Marcus even touched one of the stairs. Smoke blew out from the back of the RPG Launcher, and the large grenade flew out from the barrel. Marcus had to put on the brakes though, a blue explosion just appeared before him, and sent Marcus flying backwards. Jaffar watched as Marcus’s back was smashed against the back wall, but was more concerned about the explosion at the small stairs. It was blue, not the color a grenade would create. The smoke quickly cleared from what Jaffar sensed to be psynergy, and revealed Rusticious pushing the blade of his large tomahawk against the RPG Launcher, which Eaichu was defending himself with. Eaichu though, looked slightly different. He had a large dark purple aura surrounding him, and had two large angel-like wings that were the same color as his aura. He looked much more powerful than before, Jaffar wasn’t sure how he could tell, but he knew he didn’t stand a chance against that thing. “General!!” Jaffar yelled to Rusticious, who didn’t turn his head around, as he was in an intense stand-off against the boon leader. Rusticious though, did react by speech, “Colonel, you will take all of your men, and retreat as far as you can from this laboratory, immediately!!” “No! This thing is going to destroy my city if I just run away! I will—” “You will die if you even come close enough!” Jaffar stammered on his words suddenly, he realized that Rusticious was right. He could feel his body under intense pressure just by standing in the room, and if he walked any closer to Eaichu, his insides would get tighter, maybe even to the point of exploding. He took a couple steps back, feeling helpless. For perhaps the first time in his life, Jaffar didn’t know what to do. ---/ Upstairs, Leon and Neo were behind the large crate that was taking up the hallway, firing countless rounds at the oncoming boons who were coming through the crowded door. Leon had a pistol in each hand, pulling his index finger so many times he started to complain, “My finger is getting cramped up!” “Suck it up or else you won’t have a finger to cramp up!” Neo roared, spitting out his cigarette that was burnt out. Behind the pair was a pile of empty mags, enough that it left Pendant wondering where the two hid them all. Neo fired again, but the shotgun didn’t fire a bullet. Neo took the empty mag out of the shotgun, cursing and throwing it at an oncoming boon with a katana in hand, running down the hallway. It smashed the boon in the face, which Leon followed-up by shooting a bullet in the forehead as well. “Son of a bitch, I only got so many bullets left,” Neo groaned, reloading the gun and firing again, “And this lab has absolutely no sand in it, and it’s in the middle of a freakin' dessert!” “Neo, I’ve been wanting to tell you something!” Leon cried over the explosions of bullets, “While these boons have slowly been moving in, something has occurred to me, I think I should tell you…” “If you’re out of ammo, then draw your katana, ‘cause this is my last cartridge.” “Neo, I slept with your sister last week!” Neo fired the shotgun again, but it completely missed the wide target of boons, and instead managed to fire at the ground in front of them. “WHAT!?” “Oh come on, you can’t be honestly surprised! I mean, me, beautiful, her, well, she sure knew how to yank the chain, so to speak…” Leon paused, after looking at the size of the boil that was growing on Neo’s forehead, “Hey, don’t be so angry! I’m sure the baby will be adorable!” “If you didn’t have any ammo right now I’d use this last bullet to knock off your head off your shoulders!!” Neo screamed, but Pendant screamed louder, “SHUT UP AND SHOOT!” “Oh shit.” Neo cursed, and stood up and whacked an oncoming boon in the face with the butt of his shotgun, realizing how close the enemy was when Pendant yelled. He then aimed the barrel down the hallway, a load of boons managed to get out of the crowded door and charge down with the swords held high. Neo squeezed the trigger, but again, nothing came out. He cursed again, looking down at Leon, who was out of ammo as well. Leon gave an innocent smile and threw both pistols down the hallway, and stood up also to get ready for close combat, “You guys were the best friends a guy could ask for…” “Save your good-bye speech, Lieutenant.” Rock grunted, walking past the three officers. He raised his large battle axe, and pounded it down on an oncoming boon, pulverizing its charge to attack, then did the same to another, and another, and another. The General was walking down the hallway as if it were a walk in the park, smashing his axe against the tight walls left and right, wiping out boon after boon. Leon had his jaw dropped, as did Neo. “The General is a one-man wrecking crew!” Neo said, surprised. “I think he’s popping more pills than just viagra.” Leon gave a nervous laugh, “I’d help the old guy but the place is so tight I’m afraid he’d deck me in half if I stand just a foot away from him.” “You guys are hopeless.” Pendant groaned, and started to charge up her Jupiter Psynergy. Leon coughed, “Hey, I’m almost outta juice, I’m saving the last bit I got to get all of us outta here when the Colonel’s done downstairs.” “Yeah, and I’m saving my energy to um…” Garet walked up with his machete in hand, thinking of an excuse, but couldn’t come up with a good one. Suddenly, the three felt an energy burst behind them. They turned around, seeing Mind Bomber and Zephyr standing around Bosco, who was standing up again, with a golden aura shining around him. He had the same look as before, transparent wings, large Buster Sword, floating above the ground by a couple inches. “He’s here.” Bosco said, in a whisper. “Whose here, buddy?” Mind Bomber asked, but Bosco didn’t answer clearly. The youth turned around towards the elevator, and flew to it quickly. He hit a button to go down, and closed the doors before Mind Bomber could stop him. Mind Bomber reached the closed doors, pounding on them, “Bosco! Buddy! Get back up here!” “Jaffar and the others must be in trouble.” Garet said. Pendant nodded in agreement, turning off her psynergy charge quickly. “What do you think—” “Doesn’t matter. We can’t help them, we need to help the General.” Neo interrupted, picking up the katana that Bosco left. Zephyr limped towards them, chuckling, “About time you military boons got your priorities straight. Let’s go cut up some boons before my sword gets rusty.” ---/ Jaffar still held his katana tight, but his hand was shaking. He wanted to kill the thing that threatened his city and his friend’s lives, but knew he couldn’t do it. All he could do was watch Rusticious dive into a losing battle, as Eaichu had transformed the RPG Launcher into a rapier and was simply toying with Rusticious, giving him small cuts across the arms and chest. Rusticious was unable to land a blow on the boon leader. Jaffar looked back at Bob, “Mr. Bob, what is the Nether-Angel’s weakness!?” “There is none.” Bob simply answered, hiding behind a table that he pushed down onto its side. “The only thing that can stand up to it is the Valkyrie.” Jaffar walked up to Bob and grabbed him by the collar, and shook him, “What the hell were you thinking when you made this!? With no weakness, no self-explosion button, nothing!? Even Superman has his kryptonite!!” “Colonel! I-I-I…I’m sorry!! I am…” Bob said, starting to grow tears in his eyes, “It’s not hopeless though! Bosco can still…” “BOSCO IS BUT A BOY!” Jaffar screamed shaking Bob more, “You cannot expect him to destroy this thing!!” Jaffar pointed down at Eaichu, who made a large cut on Rusticious’s cheek with little to no effort, “Don’t you feel its power!? You built the damn thing!!” Marcus then grabbed Jaffar’s wrists, stopping Jaffar’s shaking of Bob. He had a bloody lip, and looked a little more beaten up from his meeting with the wall, but still stood on both feet, “You don’t know what Bosco can do, Jaffar.” “I’m going to gamble my life on a boy that had just signed up for the military only months ago!?” Jaffar yelled, “No one can grow so strong in such a short time!!” “Bosco isn’t an ordinary boy, Jaffy-boy.” Marcus smiled, “That’s why he’s a freakin’ Valkyrie.” Before Jaffar could counter that, a bright dash of light entered the room, and was up and at Eaichu. It was Bosco, and he had slammed his Buster Sword against the dark aura of Eaichu, shattering it. The aura broke as if it were glass, shards falled down to the ground and disappeared. Eaichu chuckled, and directed his attention to Bosco instead of the weaker Rusticious. Eaichu’s sword arm and rapier moved furiously at Bosco, while the boy put up his large sword to defend himself, but his golden aura disappeared in likewise fashion. Rusticious threw his tomahawk behind him, discarding it, and grabbed Eaichu from behind, wrapping his arms down and up over Eaichu’s shoulders. He then wrapped his legs around Eaichu’s own, while it looked like a binding technique that wouldn’t require a lot of energy, Rusticious was clearly straining himself by doing this. Jaffar assumed that it was Eaichu’s mere presence that weakened him. He also noticed that he didn’t feel any stronger after Bosco broke Eaichu’s aura. “Valkyrie! Attack now!” Rusticious cried, “That’s an order!” “Affirmative,” Bosco nodded, in a more obedient manner than several years ago. Eaichu only smiled, and didn’t resist Rusticious’s grasp while Bosco pointed the large and thick sword at Eaichu. Bosco then tossed the sword up in the air, and came in close to Eaichu. His golden aura appeared again, and his fists were blindingly bright. Eaichu suffered countless blows to the torso area, and his face. Bosco’s fists were moving so fast Jaffar couldn’t keep an eye on them. Bosco then delivered a crushing uppercut, and grabbed his sword single-handedly as it came back down, and slashed vertically down Eaichu, head to toe, and not damaging Rusticious. No blood or gore came from the blow, but a large, white slash followed the path that Bosco’s sword took, and after the blow Jaffar heard a loud boom. Jaffar, being a Jupiter adept, then realized that Bosco had just literally sliced the air, breaking the speed of sound. Rusticious jumped back, picked up his tomahawk, and both he and Bosco smashed their weapons on both sides of Eaichu. The Nether-Angel falled without a word, but no blood spilled. Rusticious and Bosco looked down at the fallen Eaichu, but Bosco didn’t look satisfied. He picked up his sword again, and swung down at the body, but he stopped a good foot from Eaichu’s body. Bosco was clearly struggling, but couldn’t bring the sword down. Rusticious noticed, and that Eaichu’s body had started to glow a dark purple. The former General-Commander gasped, and pointed at Jaffar, “You will leave, now!” “Sir, what’s happening!?” Jaffar asked, confused. “The second phase is coming.” Bob said, standing up, and walking away from the table he was using as a shield, “Eaichu allowed Bosco to strike him down so he could do this. The second phase happens when the Nether-Angel suffers enough damage, it transforms.” “Transforms!? Into what, exactly!?” Jaffar asked, yelling. “It looks like a dragon, to be honest.” Bob said, “And with all the noob in this room, when it transforms, and uses its power…the whole desert, no, this entire continent will be destroyed.” “Are you serious?” Marcus asked, quite stunned, “I mean, I knew that the boon-boss was tough stuff, but…he he he! This is God-Mode, man!” “What can we do to stop it?” Jaffar asked Bob, sternly, “There is a way, correct?” “We can do nothing, except pray that Bosco will be able to contain Eaichu and destroy him when he turns into his second phase.” Bob said, staring over at Bosco, who was still trying to push his blade down. Eaichu’s glowing body started to grow, and Rusticious used his psynergy, “Enough. I’ll be forced to take you all out.” Jaffar then felt his insides move around suddenly, and he was back up at the above floor with the military group and the anti-boon sub-leaders, fighting off the boons in the large laboratory, where they had fought Eagle and Harem only minutes ago. Rusticious waved his hand, and all of the humans were gone again, teleported. Jaffar found himself face-down on hot desert sand, and quickly raised his head and surveyed the area. The rest of the group was with him, all of them looked like they had passed out on the sand. Jaffar looked behind him, and saw the Fef city walls. He was at the outskirts of Fef. He quickly stood up and looked around, the laboratory they were at was hundreds of miles away. He kicked sand up with his foot, furious, “DAMMIT!” “Don’t worry, Colonel.” Jaffar turned around again towards the desert. Rusticious stood before him, calm as ever. “You can sleep soundly. This city isn’t going down.” Rusticious then teleported away, leaving Jaffar asking the air for more answers, but only got more questions. ---/ Back at the lab, Bosco was glowing brighter than ever as he was pushing his blade against what looked like Eaichu’s large glowing hand. The hand then transformed slowly into a claw, and Eaichu grew bigger in size. The clash of purple and golden auras was furious, and objects in the room started to fly around, as if a tornado had just entered the building. Rusticious appeared via teleportation, and pushed his tomahawk against the claw that Bosco was pushing against also. Rusticious looked at Bosco, “Situation?” “Size is expanding. The final size will be larger than the room. The pressure shall make the noob explode, then start a chain reaction which will result in the destruction of the continent.” “Do something about it.” “Affirmative. I—” Bosco paused, then started to groan, “U-Urgh!!” “Valkyrie, what’s wrong?” Rusticious asked, but knew the answer when Bosco raised his head, and Rusticious saw his eyes. They were pure again, and showed emotion. Bosco started to tremble and stumble with his words, “Wh, what? Where am I!?” |

Final Chapter Damn. Rusticious muttered, Bosco! Look at me! Y, yes s-sir!? What is this glow, why Dont ask questions, boy! Just look at me, and focus! Focus on killing this monster in front of you! Monster!? Bosco asked, then realized Eaichu before him, who had started to take shape into a dark velvet dragon, standing on all fours. Bosco still had his large sword pushing against a claw, but he was losing strength from the fear he was growing. This thing is going to destroy you and your family, your friends, and the whole world unless if you focus and put everything you got into killing it! Rusticious yelled, Imagine it eating your mother, killing your sister if you have one, destroying Fef!! A-Ah! S, sir!! Bosco yelped, starting to cry, Sir, I cant do this!! No, youre the only one that can! Rusticious yelled, We have little time. Calm down, breathe in, breathe out! Yes, yes sir! Bosco stuttered, and tried to calm himself down by breathing deeply, all while Eaichu had completely lost his human shape and was the full form of a dragon, but was still relatively small. He was about the size of a large truck, but he was growing slightly. Bosco, use your instincts to kill this thing! First, you must contain it, then kill! Rusticious explained, I do not have the time to explain why, but you must feel something inside you! Listen to it! I d-dont hear anything, sir! Bosco cried, but pushed all of his might into the buster sword that was grinding against Eaichus claw. The boy then gasped, and a golden sphere surrounded Eaichu, floating a couple feet above the ground. Eaichus size stopped growing, and the boon leader clearly noticed, by snorting and roaring loudly inside. Rusticious nodded, it was working, Good, good! Now Bosco, you must kill it! Kill that!? Bosco yelled, Sir, I dont even know how I Bosco, this is the thing that is trying to destroy the entire continent! He is responsible for Lieutenant Hystrixs death, countless men who served here several years ago, and tried to kill you! He still is! Rusticious put one hand on Boscos buster sword, which was being pushed on the golden sphere. Now look, if he wins, then we all die! Are you going to let him do that!? no. Bosco said, but Rusticious wasnt satisfied. Say it like you mean it, private!! NO!! Bosco yelled, as a small piece of debris whipped past his face in front of him. Bosco looked around the room, and now noticed that all the loose, small metallic objects in the room had been circulating around the golden sphere. Bosco looked over at Rusticious, who didnt look him in the eyes, but stared at the dragon trapped in the sphere. Bosco, dont tell me that you do not know exactly what you are doing? Whose that!? Bosco looked around, confused from the eerie British voice. Im the thing that you are trying to kill, right? Bosco looked back at the dragon, who was staring him straight in the eye. Eaichu continued, Well of course you dont know. You have been asleep for several years, after all What do you mean!? Bosco asked, Ive been awake all this time! I grew up in the northern section of Fef in an orphanage, and Ah. Looks like Mr. Rusticious here mustve done some brain probing or something. Brain washing? Who knows what you did, that psynergy stuff sure is tricky. What do you mean!? When Eaichu spoke, his mouth didnt move, it was like someone in his head was speaking to him. Bosco, you are the Valkyrie, I am called a Nether-Angel. Were pretty much the same thing, human clones designed to kill the humans. Were the top tiers of the boons, and we command them. What youre doing right now is killing your own kin. Bosco, hes wrong! Rusticious yelled, You were designed to destroy the boons! You are humanitys defense! Wait, but Im not human? Then all of those memories I got Bosco stared down at the hands that were gripping the buster sword, not sure what to think anymore. Rusticious shook his head, and put his hand on top of both of Boscos, The past memories youve had for seven years are true! I apologize that you arent human, but theres nothing that can be done! You will save millions of lives when you kill this thing! Well yeah, but youll also be killing yourselves in the process. Rusticious nodded, Yes, this will have to end with us destroying ourselves but I will not leave you, Bosco! You will not be the only one sacrificing yourself! I am the cause of all of this, I must pay for my sins! Bosco looked up at his Commander, on the verge of tears, Sir Rusticious smiled, and his grip on Boscos hands grew tighter. The blade started to glow a faint blue, identical to Rusticiouss hair. Now Bosco! How many lives will you save today!? The whole city of Fef and more! And how will you do it!? BY KILLING THIS SHITHEAD!! Bosco roared, and Rusticious chuckled, Then do it! Half the sword now had a strong glow of gold, and the other blue. The speed of the debris rotating around the sphere skyrocketed, and parts of the room started to fall apart, and fall in the sphere. Rusticious then glowed the same color as the sword, as did Bosco. Bosco, you must focus all of your energy into the sphere! This room must not be destroyed! Better idea! Bosco closed his eyes, and the three teleported away, including the floating debris. They re-appeared up above, high in the sky above the dessert. Bosco turned his head around, and could see the Fef city off in the distance. He looked over at Rusticious, who nodded, Do it now! Bosco, youre killing your own! Eaichu spoke, This is a pointless struggle! We could end it just by working together and everything will be over. Dont you get it!? Bosco yelled, raising his voice over the loud humming that his sword was giving off. Im the good guy, youre the bad guy! In the end, I win, you lose, and this story will end with a happy ending!! Now! Bosco yelled, and the swords humming was so loud that is was deafening. The sphere grew, and Eaichu looked as if he was suffering major pain as scrolls appeared out of nowhere and surrounded the trio. Before the scrolls wrapped themselves all around, Rusticious put one arm around Bosco, and mouthed something short. Back, outside the city walls of Fef, Jaffar was still standing in the same spot Rusticious left him speechless at. He could see a small shape up high and far above the horizon, as the sun was setting. Next thing he knew, a large abnormal explosion occurred at the shape. The explosion looked like a large bomb had been set at first, then formed into a skyscraper of fire. The blast wasnt wide-spread, but a large and powerful gust of wind blew across the desert, picking up a lot of sand and blowing tumbleweeds all about. The wind went all the way to the city, and was powerful enough that Jaffar reacted by putting one arm up to cover his face from the sand. It quickly blew over, and Jaffar put his arm back down. The dessert looked the same, but the figure above the horizon had disappeared, as did the tower of fire. Jaffar gave a deep sigh, which had the hint of disappointment. It was now when the rest of the group started to get back up on their feet, dazed from the extreme events. Pendant stood back up slowly, trying to get all of the sand out of her hair, but that would prove to be very difficult. JediSSJ also got up, he was one of the many that Rusticious had teleported away. He saw the lone Jaffar still staring out at the empty desert. The Senator walked up to him, then stared off at the setting sun. what happened, Jaffar? Jaffar didnt answer at first, only stared at the horizon silently more. He then noticed a piece of cloth fly towards him, dancing in the dessert wind. Jaffar caught it without moving his feet, and examined the white bandana, opposite color to his own. He clenched the hand with the bandana still in grip, and answered, Mission accomplished, sir. ~ End --- Character Epilogues --- Santi Had a funeral service in the middle of the Fusion Wars story. No one found aside from Hiei knew where his porn stash had gone to, which Hiei himself had stolen. Jaffar Is invited back into the military after both JediSSJ and Rock invite him to. Shortly after, Rock gives the Commander-General position to him. For some reason, he never removes the black bandana over his right eye, and keeps a white, weathered bandana in his breast pocket. Neo Stays as Lieutenant Colonel under Garet, the new Colonel. His blood pressure rises when he talks to Leon too much, but still smokes. Pendant Is offered a position as Lieutenant Colonel, but decides to drop out of the military and give her full attention to the CSI. She does participate in some Military action, but knows she's had more than enough action in the year that Bosco had joined the military. Zidane Stays as Deputy Cheif of the CSI, being Pendant's right-hand man. Though he doesn't understand what happened to her during the Boon Year as the city calls it, he still gives Pendant his full respect. He still feels in danger from FEGirl. Air Grady He and Hiei make their own group, leaving Anti-Boon. It involves being a thug and lots and lots of women and lots and lots of illegal drugs and alchohol. It becomes the Military's #1 Most Wanted Group. Hiei See Air Grady. Zagar Joins Hiei and Air Grady's group, but isn't cut out for it. He accidently gets arrested countless times and ruins many operations due to his clumsiness. Leon Stays as Lieutenant Colonel of Central, working under Garet. He becomes invaluable to the military with his mind-reading ability and teleporting, but still acts as lax as ever. It appears the baby that Neo's sister had wasn't his son, which Leon celebrated by a night at the clubs with his old military friends, only to end up having another close call of impregnating another woman. Marcus He and Zephyr don't destroy Anti-Boon, as there are still some boons in the Fef City. They are much more secretive than before, making very stealthy kills to boons, and haven't killed any innocents yet. Jaffar is the only one in the military who is more concerned about them than Air Grady and Hiei's group, though he occasionaly turns a blind eye so Zephyr and Marcus can make their escape. Zephyr Stays as blood-lusty as ever. See Marcus. Bob Works with the CSI after Pendant accepts his offer. Mind Bomber Hides out with Zephyr and Marcus, still the same southern sharpshooter as before. He is the lookout, as he dislikes killing others, even if they are boons. Psio For some reason, his body is never found. Rock Takes over Psio's position as the Great Library President and his seat in the 4-person Senate. He never forgets his fallen friend, and keeps in contact with his family very well. However, he keeps his battle axe by his side all the time, even if his position is supposed to be a bookworm. Bosco His body is never found. Jaffar has a memorable service for him and a holiday, but never reveals that Bosco was a Valkyrie. He simply calls Bosco the Hero and Savior of Fef, and gives all credit of saving the city to him. Bosco Day is remembered as everyone having Bosco Sticks, which are delicious ![]() Reaver His identity is revealed to the public that he was a boon, and the whole story of the boons is revealed to Fef, though they keep the Valkyrie's profile under wraps. Eaichu's memory suffers the same, as does others such as Gojira. Apocalypse Still known as the largest and most physically powerful man in the military, his sword skills are only matched by Garet and Jaffar. Garet Is promoted to Colonel of Central, taking Jaffar's position. He takes great pride in his position of Colonel, though he isn't too confident about his own abilities, but his Lieutenant Colonels and old friends make him remember his ability. Bryars He never gets over his alchohol problem, and usually smells of it whenever he enters the Military building. Seahawk Grows out of his cross-dressing thing. Instead he has a thing for becoming a ninja. Hystrix Rests in peace. Seahawk finds inspiration from him to become a Ninja Major. Eaichu His position as Senator and leader of Fef's City Development stays empty for several weeks, but later on Rock appoints somone to the position. Sentenal Gains control of his ability to interrogate people, after he had a breakdown with interrogating Marcus. He also starts to get into the whole fighting deal. Rusticious Is still known as a Hero in Fef, his memory stays undamaged even after it is revealed to the public that he wanted Bob to build more powerful boons, creating Eaichu and Bosco. His body is never found. JediSSJ Completly appreciates his family even more than before after the entire ordeal, and keeps his position as Senator of the City's Economy. |
