Play list while Writing This Chapter – The Nine Inch Nails – The Hand That Feeds Acceptance - Permanent The Rasmus – In My Life System of a Down – Chop Suey Chapter 8 Neo and Jaffar stepped out from the elevator, entering the hotel of The Casino. Jaffar said using his psynergy, he saw from the hotel staff’s brain-waves that this floor, the 14th, was where the Security Room was. There were 16 floors in all. The elevator closed behind them when they set foot on the light brown carpeting. The hallway they were in ended to their left, and to the right, was a large set of double-doors, a suite. In front of them were metal double-doors, and a camera above it. Jaffar looked up at it, and as he did, the security guard in front of the two metal doors, stepped forward, being McSlash, “Excuse me ladies, this floor is off-limits to all civilians…” When he examined the two again, his face turned a little green, “And I’m not even really sure how you two got the key to access this floor, but please, return it…” Jaffar looked at Neo, who nodded, then spread his legs apart in his dress. McSlash turned even greener, “E-Er, what are you doing?” “Just gotta grab the thin’, hon.” Said with a southern female accent, winking. Doing so made him shoot himself inside mentally. He reached his hand under his long dress, and pulled out his shotgun and aimed it at McSlash, who was only a few feet in front of the two. McSlash freaked out, but froze, “Y-Y-WHAT!?” He was more concerned how Neo fit it under there than Neo actually pointing a shotgun at him, but shook it off, “You k-know that there is a camera right there!” He pointed above his head. “They’ll be right out and help me out, they will!” After a few moments of silence, Neo cocked the gun. McSlash didn’t look any more confident, “B-Backup?...” “I saw that thing a mile away.” Jaffar said in his male voice, which seriously freaked McSlash out, “Used my Jupiter, Wind, Electricity, whatever you want to call it, psynergy, and fixed it up so that it loops the elevator’s doors being closed, and the hallway being empty except for you.” “B-But even if you shot me, they’ll hear you and—“ “Again, you’re underestimating us.” Jaffar said, covering his face with one hand, and casting psynergy. “I, one who controls the wind, can really just mute the air around the barrel of my friend’s shotgun. Don’t worry, it isn’t lethal, it’s loaded with rubber stun bullets.” He said as he saw the reaction on McSlash’s face. Neo fired, shoving a large rubber shell at McSlash’s stomach, which bounced off, but McSlash got the wind knocked out of him, and Neo shot a few more shots, until McSlash finally fell to the ground, unconscious. When Jaffar made sure he wasn’t awake, he nodded, “Right, that’s one down. We just turn off the Security inside, contact Garet and Leon, then go to the 15th for the Anti-Boon floor.” “When you brief it, it sounds so simple.” Neo sighed. “Well, it is. Just blow crap up.” Jaffar grabbed McSlash’s hand, and smacked it on the green-gridded screen on the wall, where a hand was. The doors opened, with Jaffar and Neo being greeted by unaware Security Guards. Neo cocked the shotgun again and fired, and Jaffar slammed his hand against the wall, sending electric currents to the alarm system and other machines, disabling them. --- Garet jumped into an MP car’s backseat and slammed the door. The driver, Bryars, saluted and hit the pedal hard, driving the car down the night street, towards The Casino. Leon was also in the backseat, playing with a yo-yo. Apocalypse was next to him, in the middle, with his katana between his legs. He felt squished between Leon and Garet, “We could’ve used a bigger car.” “The other elite force is using the bus.” Pendant said, in the passenger front seat. Apocalypse raised an eyebrow, “Hey, I thought you were just head of CSI.” “I’m also a Major in the Military.” She said, “I do have skills for this sort of stuff.” After that, it was pretty quiet in the military car. Only the wind outside spoke, and the wheels of the car. Apocalypse had to hold his seat, not wearing a seat-belt whenever Bryars took a sharp turn down the city streets. When they drove by the second SoiChiro, a drive-thru hamburger joint owned by Soichiro, Pendant broke the silence, “Leon, how’s the 411 on Reaver?” “Eh, who cares now.” Leon played with his yo-yo still, with a careless face on. Pendant became a little cross, “What do you mean, ‘Who cares!?’, we need to find out what Reaver is plotting!” “Reaver? Plotting? Haha.” Garet laughed, and Leon gave a snicker. Apocalypse, Bryars, and Pendant couldn’t see what was funny about it, “What are you two laughing about?” Bryars asked, looking up at the mirror for half a second. “Reaver. You guys got him wrong.” Garet said. “Eh?” --- Neo re-loaded his shot-gun after the entire large security room was cleared. The aftermath of their raid was obvious, sparks flew out from some TV screens, and all the screens were not working properly. Neo sighed, then looked over at Jaffar, who threw the last unconscious body into a walk-in janitor closet in the Security Room, “Can I take this damn thing off yet?” He asked his Colonel. “No, not yet.” Jaffar said, “We can still fool the Anti Boons with it.” “Only the complete morons.” Neo grumbled, tired of wearing the stupid and dirty dress. Jaffar slammed the door and wiped his hands, looking up at the broken TVs. He leered at one, “Look, Neo.” Neo looked up, and saw one lone working security screen that wasn’t blown up from Jaffar’s psynergy. There he saw Air Grady and Hiei exiting the large room with double doors on the same floor, walking towards the security room. The Security Room door’s were shut, but Jaffar and Neo had to think fast. Jaffar opened up the walk-in closet again. Neo slammed the end of his shotgun against the floor in anger. Jaffar groaned as the doors were knocked upon, “’Ey, let us in.” Air Grady said, muffled through the doors. “We need some of the whisky in the mini-bar.” Hiei yelled. Jaffar closed the closet again, aborting the ‘impersonate security guards’ idea. The place was a mess, too. He bit his lip, only one thing to do in this situation. He walked over to Neo quietly, while the doors were being loudly knocked upon. Neo looked clueless with his make-up on, looking at Jaffar, who was in deep thought. Then the idea came to him. He punched Neo in the face. Neo cursed loudly in his regular voice, which he then was forced to screech high when Jaffar smashed Neo’s shotgun on one foot. Air Grady and Hiei reacted, “W-What!? Women? Ladies, are you ok in there!?” “A-A-AAAA~! Heeeeeelp me~! ME and my Double D cup size are in danger!” Jaffar yelled. “Double D? You’re hardly an A-AAACK!” Neo screamed, after Jaffar punched Neo again, then afterwards punched himself in the nose, bleeding. Neo and Jaffar fell to the ground, Neo curling up, holding his stomach. Air Grady had enough, “Ladies! Don’t worry, Air Grady will come to save you!” He muttered under his breath, “And Pimp you up. Booya.” “Hey, I want some booty too.” Hiei said, slamming his katana against the door, “I call the chick with DD.” “No way, man, I call her.” Air Grady argued, “I have only been getting flat broads this week.” “With booty!” Said Hiei, “Big booty! I haven’t gotten any! I need some tang, man!” “No way, homeslice. This bitch is mine, y’hear?” Air Grady turned his attention to Hiei now, instead of the steel doors that blocked his way to Jaffar’s rumor-based breasts. “Don’t mess with me, man.” “Air Grady.” Hiei sighed, giving him a few moments of silence. Then he jumped on his shoulders, screaming with his teeth baring, “THAT WOMAN IS MINE, MINE, YOU HEAR!? MINEMINEIMIENIAMDFSHSIDFNASDMINIIMINEIMEIMIIIIINE~!!!” He started punching him on the head. “Hey.” The two turned half-around, but where pulverized by a dull earth-spire from behind, knocking both of them far off their feet and into the wall. A figure walked up to them, then smashed them both hard with earth psynergy. The unconscious ones were nearly dead, Reaver thought they were as he walked off, and opened up the steel doors with earth psynergy. Jaffar and Neo were laying on the floor, staring at him with bloody noses, and only in Neo’s case, disbelief. Jaffar looked like he expected it, somehow. --- Meanwhile, on the 16th floor, the floor right below the sky-level, Marcus was sitting in a large chair, examining all the data Reaver had presented him with. Profiles on all the Military, the table of sand from the security room, which he had just brought up with him. Attacking the Military HQ was going to be very easy now. Zephyr entered the extremely dark room, Marcus was the only thing he could see, sitting in the middle with one lampshade shining on him and his comfy leather chair. And, the TV with the Military Profiles in front of the Anti-Boon leader. Zephyr spoke, “Marcus, I think we’ve got some boons here…a bunch of cars just parked across the street now. Boons are filled with them.” Marcus spun around in his chair, and rested his chin on his hands, “Yes, I smelt them. Jaffar, oh, Jaffar…you silly boon. I have you now.” |

Heh. I hadn't actually read this until today, great job. I know I own a cool bar-alchohol chain and everything, but how about I use the profits to support and work for the Anti-Boons? I could be a Water Adept, and have a buttload of big-ass guns. Wheeee!

Chapter 9 Neo wiped his bloody nose, then stood up onto his two feet slowly, “Reaver…what took you so long?” Reaver didn’t answer immediately, but only stared at the two Military Officers dressed in dresses, “Well, I was trying to avoid you two…who knows what kind of diseases you are carrying wearing those things.” Jaffar didn’t say anything, only teleported his katana and the two MP uniform’s using psynergy and grasped them with one hand. He threw one uniform at Neo, who caught it, “So, what info do you have here now? Got anything?” Neo asked Reaver, checking his uniform. “But before you answer that…” He leered at Jaffar, “Colonel, permission to speak freely.” “Granted.” “What the hell were you thinking just then!? Why’d you smash my nose and my face and my foot and other parts that I forgot!? I DON’T ENJOY PAIN!!” He roared at Jaffar, who took everything Neo yelled at him. Jaffar coughed, and wiped his face with a handkerchief. “Well, I thought Air Grady and Hiei would break through to here. Then they’d see we were in distress, and when they got close enough, I’d blast them and you’d shoot them…” “Looks like that didn’t work.” Neo grunted. “Warn me next time you do that, or better yet, leave me out of your painful ideas.” Reaver waited a few moments for Neo to stop talking, then reported, “Well, I did manage to snatch a disk with the list of the Anti-Boon members thus far.” Reaver said, holding a floppy disk in one hand. Jaffar nodded, “Great work. Hold onto that tight, we’re going after Marcus. He’s on the top floor, right?” “Right below the sky floor, floor number 16, yes.” Reaver confirmed. He looked around the messy room, expecting to find some MP officer pop out of nowhere, “Just the three of us?” “Yes. Most of the Anti-Boons are at floor level, at the casino. Not much should be up at the HQ Floor.” Jaffar said, as he pointed one finger at his own head, “Brain waves via psynergy.” “Hmn.” Reaver folded his arms over, “You’re underestimating them, if you ask me. Marcus is strong.” Jaffar shook his head, “I know what I’m doing. Marcus is strong, yes, but stands no chance against me.” Neo turned bright red when he remembered what happened to Jaffar last time he crashed heads with Marcus. It was the complete opposite, Jaffar was unable to even get a blow on Marcus at all. Or maybe he was just faking, so Reaver would go along with Marcus…eh. He didn’t like the situation he was in one bit. Reaver interrupted his thoughts, “Then we shouldn’t just stand here. He must know that the others are coming now. I saw their vehicles outside the window just a moment ago.” “Crap,” Jaffar muttered, “We’d better hurry then. Knowing Marcus, he’d high-tail it if the odds are stacked against him.” --- Outside of The Casino, in the parking lot behind the main entrance, MP Vans and a couple cars parked outside of the gates. Officers pilled out, and the Lt.s stepped out of Bryar’s car. Leon fixed his sunglasses, “Guess the Colonel and Neo already went into the place.” “How does the Colonel expect us to do this? What are we supposed to do!?” Ivan cried, confused on what to do. Lt. Hystrix stepped out of the passenger seat of one Fef Military Van, “Major, calm down. Firstly, Team Alpha will surround The Casino, while avoiding detection from the short-sighted security cameras.” “Actually, Jaffar sent me a mind wave that they blew out the Security cameras. They entered the Security room and trashed the place, they’re going on up to the floor where all the Anti-Boons hang out.” Leon said, holding one side of his tilted head with one hand, as if to make sure it didn’t slip off his shoulders. “Better yet, we can just storm the place.” Hystrix smiled, then slapped a headband onto his forehead, “WITH KUNG-FU!!” “Oh dear god.” Pendant muttered, knowing Hystrix’s position in the Military. Hystrix did a thousand hand motions all in half a minute and a dozen men appeared by his side, wearing tight-military uniforms, and with scarves around the bottom of their faces, and a headband on also. Hystrix did another obnoxious hand gesture, “LET’S GO, TEAM NINJA!!” “Schigga reporting for duty, Lt. Hystrix!” Schigga, one of Hystrix’s ninjas, saluted. Hystrix saluted back, “Major Schigga! Bring your team to the base of the Casino! The south of it! Me and my team will—“ “Who didn’t tell me we had a ninja team?” Apocalypse asked. Bryars slapped his own forehead, “It was better not known that known at all…but anyway, if the Colonel and the Lt. really disabled the Security, we really should just go through the back door and go.” “I’m having a feeling we should stay here.” Leon said, “Jaffar’s telling me.” “Are you sure it’s The Colonel, or the feminine side in you?” Pendant asked. “Neither, your mom.” --- Meanwhile, at the Military HQ, Bosco was patrolling down the hallways with the lights lighting up the building. Bosco sighed, and pulled up a fold-up chair and sat down in it, holding his braggart, “Always boring guard duty…” This time though, he wasn’t alone. Yotsuba walked down the same empty hallway, excluding the new recruit, already almost asleep in the chair. Yotsuba tapped the end of his braggart lightly on Bosco’s forehead, who jumped up in fright. When he saw Yotsuba, he saluted quickly, “M-Major! I was just a lil’ tired, sir!” “It’s alright, no worries.” Yotsuba assured him. He looked down the hallway again, then sighed, “I agree, this is boring, isn’t it? Instead of going out to stop the anti-boons…” “Well, they are pretty dangerous thugs.” Said the tired recruit, “I was lucky when they attacked here…” “Still. I haven’t even really been doing anything while I’ve been here, y’know? And when the time calls, I can’t go because I failed that stupid stealth test. Who needs that? Just go out there and blast ‘em to pieces!” He stomped his foot hard. Bosco swore he just felt the ground around him vibrate a second there. “Well…” Bosco still couldn’t see what Yotsuba was getting at, he didn’t mind all of this. Long as he didn’t get killed, he knew he needed more training before he could take on dangerous people like Anti-Boon. Yotsuba continued ranting while Bosco was thinking, “And that Colonel…he creeps the hell out of me. He’s a wind adept, right? Can read minds and stuff like Leon, creepy stuff. Invasion of privacy and stuff.” “But if your psynergy is strong enough, you can block out their psynergy when they try to peer into your mind.” Bosco informed him, “Least, that’s what everyone told me. Including the Colonel.” “Yeah, well, that’s just a load of bull so they can make us train harder.” Bosco couldn’t figure why Yotsuba even signed up for the military at all now at this point. Suddenly, the lights went out. Before Bosco knew it, he was in almost the same situation as before, he could barley see Yotsuba in front of him. The only source of light was the moonlight peering through a couple windows in the rooms with their doors open. Bosco sighed and whimpered at the same time, “N-Not again…” “AA-AAACK!” Yotsuba screamed, causing Bosco to jump ten feet in the air, “M-Major!! Are you ok!? Scream again if you aren’t!” “AAaARGH! M-MY— ……oh, forget it.” Yotsuba snapped his fingers with brief psynergy, and a fireball appeared at his palm, faintly lighting the area around the two, “You’re too funny to scare. If I went further, you probably would’ve had a stroke or something…” Bosco shivered a bit, he just heard a loud clanging noise down the hallway. He still held his katana tight, now drawing it, “W-What was that?” After Yotsuba didn’t answer him, Bosco turned towards him, “Y-Yo…what was—HUNH!” Yotsuba had the tip of his blade pointed half an inch at Bosco’s face. Bosco was sweating bullets, looking up at Yotsuba’s creepy eyes. “Wh-What are you d-doing!?” Bosco asked. “Sorry, kid,” Yotsuba simply said, still holding the fireball to null some of the darkness, “You’ve really had rotten luck while you’ve been here in the Military, haven’t you? Seen lots of people die, huh.” Bosco didn’t answer, not out of fright, but he truly despised Yotsuba at this moment, more than anything he ever had before. Yotsuba held the same stance, “Kid, if you want, you can join the ranks with us…” “Us!? Exactly who is, ‘Us’!? Anti-Boon!? You moron!” Bosco finally had the nerve to yell at him. Yotsuba shook his head, “No, bigger than Anti-Boon. Much bigger.” “Why!? Why are you doing this? The military is all that’s right in this world! We’re the ones who keep the justice and peace around here!” Bosco exclaimed, but it fell to deaf ears. Yotsuba continued, “So you think the Military is all justice and good? We’re not that. All we are are mercenaries. Doesn’t it make sense for mercenaries to go whoever pays the most?” “No! It’s for what’s right, not the price! It’d commit Seppuku before I’d join whatever you’re doing!” “Well, it’s your choice, kid. Sorry, I didn’t want to do this.” He raised his blade, and Bosco grit his teeth and tried raising his own, but his hands just wouldn’t move fast enough. The turncoat Yotsuba got blasted from the side by a large gush of water, sending the ex-MP Officer flying down the dark hallway. Bosco gasped, and immediantly turned towards where the water came from, but couldn’t see anything in the dark. “W-Whose there!?” Behind him, Yotsuba cursed, “D-Damn! I’ll get you one day, Bosco! Mark my words! If I can’t persuade you, I’ll just kill you!” Bosco could hear him scurrying off, with his soaking clothes splashing the tiled floor. Bosco still faced down the dark hallway from the source of water, holding his katana tight. A hooded figure emerged from the shadows, carrying a lighter as a source of light. Bosco could barley see the man, “Who are you?” He asked his savoir. “Bosco, right? I…I am called Rusty.” The man silently said. Bosco gasped, “R-Rusty!? Not the same Legendary Hero Rusty!! The guy who—“ “Come, let’s go. Your home…it needs to be saved.” Rusty said, almost in a whisper. He walked off, passing Bosco, who still stood in the same direction, stunned. He turned around to see the back of Rusty, “Wait!” Rusty stopped. “We can’t just stop these guys with just the two of us! There are probably other traitors too besides Yotsuba!” “We can. Trust me.” Rusty simply said, and continued walking down the hallway. Bosco, speechless, was unsure what to say and do. Staying in this place wasn’t safe, he ran off towards Rusty with his katana in his hands. --- |

Tracks: LostProphets - Ride Batman Begins - Molossus The Killers - Midnight Show Rise Against - Like The Angel Chapter 10 The grayish dark walls made the large lobby room look more like a museum than a room. Many black leather sofas sat around the room, and the place basically looked like a high-quality and priced club. But the room was empty with no people. The elevator in the room at one wall opened up, but no one exited the machine. It was left open for a few moments, and Neo rolled down the carpet and set his shotgun onto a sofa, hiding behind it as cover. He examined the life-less room, then waved his hand towards the elevator, “All clear.” “You sure?” Jaffar and Reaver stepped out, Jaffar had his doubts, it seemed. “I sense others here.” “You sensed correct, boon!” A voice screamed from the shadows. Neo immediately fell back into his combat senses and shot the incoming earth spire that appeared out of nowhere with his shotgun. The bullet-like earth shattered once it was hit, and the dust covered Neo and the leather sofa in front of him. Neo shook his head to get the dust out, but quickly shot out randomly towards the darkness, but knew he missed when the cry laughed again, “Hahaha! You boons just are too easy to catch! Like flies to a candle!” Zephyr stepped out from the shadows, and turned on the lights, lighting up the room a bit. Jaffar didn’t look surprised when he saw the other side of the room, where Zephyr was, had a few Anti-Boons with him. Zagar, Bloodrain, Albel, and of course… Marcus stroked his hair with one hand, smiling. He, like the others, was in front of the large window, that took up the entire back-wall. The view was simply amazing, over-looking much of Fef. Now at night, all you could see was the large moon and many neon lights lighting up the city. Marcus adjusted his glasses, “Jaffar, you never called me that you were coming over. You usually need an invite if you want to be welcomed here, don’t you know? Manners, manners.” There was a few blocks of floating ice around him, each one had a large shotgun shell from Neo’s shotgun. He didn’t seem to have wanted his large beautiful window to be shattered. Jaffar’s facial mood didn’t change, “Marcus, you’re under arrest yet again for the murder of Yuan and fighting against arrest.” “You say that as if I don’t know.” Marcus giggled, “Oh, Reaver. I had a feeling you’d go back to them. Or that you were a spy all along. You did have such an odd reaction to when I was about to kill Jaffy-boy…hmn. Your loss.” “Well, I got other plans, Jaffy-boy. And that includes your friends down at my parking lot! They’re on private property, don’t you know! Gotta tell them what’s what!” He drew his katana and smashed one of the square frames of the large window open, and jumped down it as if going off a diving board. Neo felt more relived, “No way could a moron like that survive a jump from 16 stories!” “Don’t be so sure! Let’s get going and get after him!” Jaffar commanded, drawing his own katana, “Move out of my way, else you’ll know why I’m the Colonel, anti-boons!” “As if!” Zephyr laughed, and took out his katana, “Time to take down the big boons of the military! Colonel Jaffar, get ready!” --- Bryars, Apocalypse, Leon, Garet, and Pendant were now in the middle of the crowded parking lot, although they were the only humans out. Bryars scratched his neck, “Where to, Lt.?” he asked Leon. “Jaffar really wants me to stay here.” Leon shivered, “He’s sending me death rays if I don’t.” “Times like these when I’m glad I don’t sense his psynergic brain waves.” Garet blurted out. “I don’t get it. Why stand here?” Pendant examined the parking lot around her, “Unless if he wants us to stop anti-boons from escaping from this fire exit.” She felt a sharp shard of something hit her on top of the head. She winced and pulled out a small piece of what looked like glass, with a little of her own blood on it. She cursed under her breath, then slowly lifted her face upwards, casting a faint psynergy wind shield in front of her. What she saw made her gasp and take a few steps back, “E-Everyone! Get back!” Garet looked up also, but instead drew his katana. Marcus was running down The Casino, as if he was on flat ground, but going incredibly fast on two feet. The MP Officers could almost see a blue aura going past him he was so fast, with his weapon drawn. They all jumped back, “What the hell!? Is he insane!?” Apocalypse yelled, “Going down a 16-Story building!” Marcus looked like he was laughing as he passed the 6th floor, but no audio was heard. When he was only a dozen feet off the ground he held both his hands in front of him, one holding the katana. Psynergy flowed through his body, and ice shot out from his palms, smashing onto the building’s side. Marcus slid down it, and he created a steep slide that curved when it hit the cement parking lot. It kept going, past the MP Officers. Marcus was now a human sled, sliding down the thick ice and was now sliding at blinding speed on the icy ground. Everyone jumped even further back to avoid Marcus slashing at them, which he did when he zoomed past them down a lane in the parking lot, howling his laugh. Apocalypse swore he saw his life flash before his eyes for a second the attack was so fast and deadly. Marcus now jumped, going off his icy slide and did a back-flip in mid-air, landed on one hand, then jumped again to land on his feet, with his back facing The Casino and the terrified MP Officers. “Haha! What a rush, I love that ride.” He said, sliding one hand down his shiny and clean katana. Pendant drew her katana with psynergic electricity flowing through it, which operated like Garet’s flame sword. “Y-You’re crazy!” “Crazy, little girl, yes, but that’s how I go about things, don’t you know!” Marcus wavered a small piece of technology in one hand, which looked like a cell phone. He looked at the screen, “Pendant Orez. Age 17, Sex female, Martial Status, Single,” Marcus giggled at the last part, “Occupation, Head of Fef’s CSI Organization, while also being a Major in the Army! What hard work!” “Has long purple hair, enjoys ramen, blood type AB, fighting style…” Marcus stopped, then smiled at her with the technology hiding half his face, “I have your data, little girl.” “Holy crap,” Bryars said, almost as dazzled as Pendant, “And he’s not even a wind adept! How does he know all that!?” “Bryars, Lt. In Fef’s Military. Uses a katana passed down from his family, dozens of generations used it, repaired it, made it stronger…wow, what an artifact! Must be important to you, hmmmn?” Marcus almost broke into a gleaming smile, but had to resist. This was just too much fun. Bryars looked disturbed. Garet broke in, “Sorry to stop your quizzing time, but we got other matters to discuss! Marcus, you’re under arrest for—“ “Oh, GOD. Please, stop, stop, stop…” Marcus waved his hand at Garet, pleading, “Your Jaffy-boy already briefed me on all the bad things I did, I know, I know, I know. Please, stop. It’s so boring to listen to, Garet. But if you really want to cut down to the chase…” He slid his fingers down the katana again, then dashed at the flame swordsman. |
