Chapter 12 Jaffar looked stunned, probably the only time it has ever been recorded in his history, “Sir!? But—“, His emotion on his face suddenly changed, he seemed to have accepted it even though he didn’t want to, “Who will be taking my position? I suggest Garet…” Rock shook his head, “You’re not the only one being discharged, Jaffar. All three of your Lt. Colonels have shown that they cannot handle what to do at a critical moment, all three of them are also being discharged.” Jaffar looked incredibly cross now, and tried to take it all in. He did, but so much was still clear, “General!!” He yelled, “Those three have done nothing wrong! I bear full responsibility for this!” “Jaffar, I share your concern, and I do agree with you, but the other leaders beg to differ.” Said the General, “I apologize, I did my best to defend both you and them. But they simply were all against me.” “Sir, who will take the empty positions, then!? Surely they must have had someone in mind if they were to wipe out such a large number of high-ranking personal!” Jaffar’s tone was still raised, for good reason. “They do. Lt. Reaver has shown in this mission and in the past that he is very capable of being both a spy and accomplished fighter with brains as well as brawn. He is to be promoted to Colonel.” Rock informed Jaffar. The former Colonel still didn’t look any cheerier, “How do they know of what he has done in the recent mission?! I just got back from it!” “They have people always watching you, Jaffar. Even now.” Rock said, “I thought you knew that.” “I try to numb it out of my mind. Being stalked all the time isn’t a great thing to know.” “Well, no need to worry about it anymore.” Rock snapped his fingers, and the driver continued driving, past the HQ. “Where do you want me to drop you off?” Jaffar crossed his arms over, then looked out the open window. He gave a long sigh, “…Bring me back to my men at The Casino. I want to be the one to break the news to them.” “Odd, you want to do it?” Rock asked, “I know it must be painful, Jaffar.” “Don’t worry about me, General.” Jaffar sighed again, “No one usually does.” After a long and awkward moment of silence, the MP Car stopped at their destination. Jaffar hesitated to open the door, or even move at all. “General, good luck with this decision.” He grabbed the handle of the car to open it, and Rock replied, “Jaffar.” Jaffar stopped, pausing for Rock’s final statement. “Prove me wrong.” Jaffar didn’t answer and opened the door, and stepped out to the midnight atmosphere yet again at The Casino’s parking lot. They were doing clean-up, with many of the CSI hovering around the area and entering the building that was now being evacuated. The Lts. And Lt. Cols. were lurking around one empty spot at the parking lot, talking to each other. The car drove off, leaving Jaffar to do the dirty work. He slowly stepped towards them, with a very heavy case of guilt weighing on him. Garet nodded in agreement to what Hystrix just said, “I think we should head back now to HQ. Make sure Marcus and KZ don’t break out of that jail van, as impossible as that sounds. With Bryars in there, I doubt anything will be happening in there.” Pendant shrugged, “I gotta stay here, clean-up is such a lame duty…but that’s what I get for being head of the CSI.” “I don’t know how you find the time to do that and be a Major, do you get any sleep at all?” Neo asked, “You need a pick-me-up or something, go down to the club…” “Sounds like a good idea! Celebration party!” Leon raised his fist, “Where should we go? Gnave’s place, or maybe…” “Pardon me.” Jaffar interrupted them, appearing suddenly. Garet waved his hand at the ex-Colonel, “’Sup, Colonel? You look a little down, after we just took down Anti-Boon!” “Yeah, Jaffar.” Pendant said, “Even someone as emotion-less as you should be at least a little peachy at a time like this.” “Hard to be peachy when…” He looked around the group, “Ah, forget it…Garet, Leon, Neo.” “Sir?” “If I could speak with you three alone…join me at Greth’s bar, across the street.” Jaffar said to the cement lot, more to that than the three it seemed. He didn’t make eye contact with any of them yet. “Sure thing, Colonel.” Neo said, his cigarette moved along with his lips, “But if I get a hangover, it’s you fault.” “I guess it would be.” Jaffar walked off alone, with the same anvil of guilt weighting him down. The three Lt. Colonels exchanged looks with each other, then followed, waving goodbye to their comrades. The last time for that night. --- Neo slammed a small whisky shot glass on the counter, “BARTENDER!!” He gave a muffled yell, with his face hiding on one arm, resting on the bar. Greth, the bartender, walked up to him and grabbed it, “I think you’ve had enough, Neo.” “NO! I still know my name, dammit! Give me more!” “Fine, fine.” Greth grabbed the shot-glass and walked off, leaving Neo to the other three Ex-MP Offices, sitting on barstools at the bar. If you really want to know, from left to right sat Neo, Garet, Jaffar, Leon. Amazing, I’m sure this story is a lot more interesting know, huh. The bar was fairly clean, but small. Only two people were at the bar besides the depressed men, sitting at a table watching the replays of the Fef Baseball game on the large TV on the wall. Leon was sulking, holding a half-empty beer bottle. His hair looked sulky itself, “I…I gah…I’d bet I have no chance with Crystal now…” “I’m sorry.” Jaffar apologized, not the first time this night. “Sorry!? Yeah, well, I…I uhh…what was I saying?” He was clearly drunk. The number of empty bottles beside him on the bar could’ve been recycled to supply all the windows damaged at the Military HQ, and then some. “I could’ve used some booty…boooot…ah…” “Just because you can reproduce, doesn’t mean you should.” Jaffar muttered, “Then again, you shouldn’t take advice from me. I’m the one who got you here.” “What’d you say about my produce!?” Neo yelled, “What’d you do with my produce!? I need my freggin’ carrots, man! Protein, protein! I need that stuff!” “I’m glad I don’t drink.” Garet took another shot of whisky, “…frequently.” He looked over at Jaffar, “So, what now, Captain?” “Stop calling me that.” Jaffar ordered, “I don’t deserve any military title.” “So, what now, hommie?” “Never mind, call me Captain.” “Captain.” “Yes?” “What now.” “I guess we can…I found this flyer outside.” He handed a piece of paper to Garet, who started reading it. Garet didn’t look like he found this to be a great opportunity. The flyer had a moderately scary man on it, pointing his finger forward towards the reader. The finger was so close, you could see his fingerprints. On top of the man had large, bold letters, saying, “JOIN THE WARRIOR GUILD!!” “Pretty intimidating.” “Not to me.” Jaffar said, “I guess I’ll be going and joining as soon as these two can get back on their feet.” “That’s our Colonel…” --- The next day, at the HQ of the Military, the Construction on the building was improved on only the living quarters. With psynergy doing most of the work, fixing the place was somewhat of a breeze. The areas that were heavily damaged was really only the supply room, some CSI materials, and Jaffar’s room somehow got into the mess. Not that it mattered to him, he didn’t bother to go pick up any of his stuff. Then again, no one knew of his absence and the other Lt. Colonels. Pendant looked flustered in the un-damaged CSI room while trying to de-code a piece of technology on the computer screen, apparently from The Casino. Zidane noticed, who had stopped writing down a report on a clipboard, “Pendant, what’s wrong?” “Eh?” She turned around, then back to her work, “Nothing. Just I remember that Marcus had something in his hand while he was talking about my profile, and we couldn’t find anything on him when we searched him that looked like it.” “Might’ve teleported it away.” Zidane shrugged. “No, I didn’t see him use psynergy once we cuffed him, and he couldn’t, anyway, they’re psynergy-binding handcuffs…” She put her elbows on the keyboard and scuffled with her hair, “Graaar…” “Well, don’t sweat it.” Zidane said, “We can only do with what we got, so let’s just start with that and see what we can get.” “Yeah.” Pendant said, “But there’s nothing really to examine, I mean, we know what happened. Jaffar and Neo invaded The Casino, Anti-Boon place, we took it over, arrested everyone, what’s the deal. And here, well, the fire destroyed everything of evidence in the tension area, and the only survivor we got who was a traitor is Bosco.” “Speaking of Jaffar and Neo…” Zidane tapped his pen on the clipboard, “Have you seen them today?” “Hmn, no, I haven’t. I gotta ask Jaffar some stuff too…” “Huh.” “Attention, Fef Military.” The voice of Crystal, the receptionist of the Military was casted on the announcement speakers, going through each hall that still had working circuits, “All personal are to report at the Lobby, for an important announcement and ceremony. Again, All Fef Military Personal…” Zidane spoke over her, “What? Now? It’s not even noon yet.” He looked at his watch, “I guess you’d better get going, Pendant.” Pendant stood up from her rolling chair, “Y-yeah. I guess.” --- Down at the lobby, the crowd of Military Officers was staggering. If the room wasn’t so large, it would be impossible to fit so many there. It was surprising that with the number of traitors, that there would still be so much left. Pendant tried pushing through the crowd, to get towards the front, where a temporally stage was set up with a microphone and podium. She bumped into someone harshly, accidentally. She apologized and looked up to see who it was. “Hey, no problem.” Apocalypse, with a sling on, looked fairly care-free. “Oh, Apocalypse! Are you ok?” She pointed at the sling. “Nothing that frequent visits to Nurse Windy won’t fix.” Apocalypse smiled, “I’d heal it myself but I’m not too great on healing psynergy…” “Ahem.” “Oh, it’s the General!” Apocalypse looked over at the stage, seeing Rock standing behind the podium. He, like the rest of the military in the lobby, quieted down just from the General’s presence. Rock was so large he almost looked like a giant at the podium, and the microphone was set so high, “Greetings, my fellow Military comrades.” He started. “Today, and late yesterday, as I’m sure you’re all well aware by now, our home was attacked by our own men. This was inexcusable, there should have been more men here to defend our home. But we did manage to arrest the entire group of Anti-Boon, including their leaders, Marcus and Zephyr.” The crowd gave a little cheer and hoot, as Rock gave them an opportunity when he fell silent for a moment. Then he continued, “But, was it worth it? To get a killer, we sacrificed so many of our own men here, and our home. With that, I am also sure a few of you may have noticed the absence of your Colonel and Lt Colonels here. There…is a reason for that.” “Colonel Jaffar and Lt Colonel Garet, Lt Colonel Leon, and Lt Colonel Neo, all four of them have been discharged from the Military per orders of myself and the other Three Leaders of Fef.” The crowd suddenly spoke out, many whispering to each other, some yelling at Rock, and others really just in pure shock. Rock held the microphone cord with one hand and looked around the rowdy crowd, waiting for them to settle down. He understood it wasn’t a very calm situation, “But.” The crowd still talked, but was somewhat more settled, “But for good reason, none of you would want your leader to be so careless about your home that he goes and invades a heavily fortified enemy area with only him and another, and ordering you to basically completely evacuate the HQ. That is not the qualities of a strong leader. Although Jaffar was not a weak one, he was not fit to be a Colonel in Fef.” “With that, I’m sure those of you with enough brain cells know that me and the Three Leaders have appointed the next Colonel of Fef.” “Hey, that could be me.” Apocalypse pointed at himself, “If I’m Lt., I’m next in line.” “Yeah, good luck on that, Apoc.” Pendant murmured sarcastically. “Thanks for the vote of confidence, shessh.” “Your new Colonel, the four of us discussed heavily upon.” Rock kept saying, ‘The Four of Us,’ even though he was the only Fef Leader on stage, “After much discussing and viewing profiles, we came to a decision to be the next strong Colonel of Fef. He is more than enough of being worthy, his accomplishments of being a spy on numerous occasions are staggering, with the amount of information we had received.” “An amazing man, if I may, I introduce to you all, Lt. Reaver.” Rock said, stepping aside from the podium. Reaver stepped up onto the stage and walked over to the podium, then saluted Rock. Rock rose his right hand, as did Reaver. “Lt. Reaver, repeat after me…I, solemnly swear…” Pendant blurred out the rest of the ceremony, she couldn’t believe this. She was friends with all of the high-ranked officers that were just fired, and now she didn’t know where they were, or if she could even talk to them ever again. Or even worse, if they’re still alive right now. Reaver said the final words of the speech and Rock nodded. “Lt. Reaver, thus forward you are now the Colonel of the Fef Military. I congratulate you on this for all your hard work. Now, if you would…” He pointed his arms towards the podium, and Reaver nodded with a smile and stepped behind it, looking very confident. The crowd cheered, as Reaver waved his hands towards them all, with the same gleaming smile on his face. |

Chapter 13 “So what’s with you and your cult’s teachings?” Marcus found himself in a room with only a glass table and a few chairs, and a bullet-proof window. The walls were gray without a single blot of grime on it anywhere, germ-free. On one clean wall was a large one-way window, to Marcus all he saw on it was the room he was in. Mirrors. Least he could see how beautiful he looked. “Hey, monkey brain, listening to me?” Marcus looked in front of him, across the table that he was seated at. There sat Sentenal, with a few documents in one hand. Marcus gave a quiet laugh, “Monkey brain…and you’re supposed to break through me? You’re just making me laugh.” “Although I may not be a Wind Adept, and while the General discharged Jaffar and Leon, our only two Jupiter Adepts that could read minds without fault, I know you’re not really running right up here.” He pointed at his head. “Major, Major. I think you’re starting to push the limits, this is considered cruel torture, you know…” “Alright, enough of your wisecracks. You’re lucky you got out of you cell after we repaired the whole HQ, though it took a little more than a week…” Sentenal held a document in one hand, “Back to question #1. What is up with you and your boon classification? Though I already know the answer to that…” “Really, Major? Then why don’t you answer it for me?” Marcus asked, smiling. He put both of his hand-cuffed hands onto the glass table, and tapped one finger on it. Sentenal’s eyebrow twitched, “I’m going to have to take a leap and say that it’s just an excuse to go about killing mass numbers of people.” “Eh, so far off.” Marcus sighed, “How’d you get into the military not knowing? Then again, not many know…” “What are you talking about?” “Boon is…we don’t go about labeling people as boons. Boons are boons, you Military goons just don’t know it.” Marcus sighed again. Sentenal thought otherwise, “Really? Then how come Zephyr labeled all of the Military at the parking lot as boons when he attacked Lt. Apocalypse?” He read from the document, “Ahem, ‘Then Zephyr leapt down from The Casino the same as Marcus, he injured me on my right shoulder with my back turned, landed on the earth and made it split with psynergy, and yelled something like, ‘Boons! All of you are Boons!’, then…’” He looked up at Marcus, who looked incredibly bored and annoyed. “I know what happened, jeez. I was there, Major.” “And?” “Zephyr was mistaken.” Marcus said, “He usually is. Not much of you Military grime are boons, a few are, but not all. Why, even you, you lucky little cheeky Major, you.” Sentenal could feel Marcus pulling on his cheek as if he were a baby mentally. It didn’t feel comfortable, “Then how would you classify a, ‘boon’?” “Boons are the ones who carry it.” Marcus’ attitude suddenly changed, he looked almost serious, “The…they carry it. It. It’ll end us all unless if we exterminate them…” “What ARE you talking about?”, said the puzzled Sentenal, “It? What’s ‘it’?” “…dammit, the name slipped out of my mind.” Marcus bit his lower lip, “It’ll end us all.” “You already said that.” “So why aren’t you listening!?” Marcus was a level below yelling, “By imprisoning me, you’re going to end all of Fef! Damn my kindness to my friends!” “…uhh.” Sentenal didn’t look much interested in this, he flipped to the next page, “Next, about the attack on Military HQ a week ago…know anything about it?” “Besides that you mutts got your asses kicked?” Marcus said, with a smile back on his face quickly, “No, can’t say I do.” Sentenal sighed, “Next…” Outside the room, to the one beside it, Reaver was looking through the one-way window with Seahawk watching also. Behind them a few Officers were scribbling things down on paper that they were hearing in the next room. “What is he talking about?” Seahawk asked, in his masculine military uniform, “What’s, ‘it’?” “Sounds like another crap excuse.” Reaver said, “Who knows.” “Well, that’s what we’re trying to do.” Seahawk said, “Know.” “Well then, good luck, Major.” Reaver grabbed the door handle, and stepped out of the dark room. Seahawk looked back out the one-way window, with his arms behind his back, trying to understand the things going through his mind. Reaver closed the door slowly, entering one of the many Military hallways. He fixed his slightly slanted collar, and walked down the halls to his next destination in the afternoon, the CSI, which was in the same hallway. While he was walking, he didn’t look too happy. What Marcus was talking about was very vague, but it didn’t give him a good feeling for some reason. He was in front of the CSI door,’That was quicker than I thought it would be.’ The Colonel opened up the door to find Zidane’s looking down at a microscope, examining something. He didn’t notice Reaver until Reaver slowly closed the door and spoke, “Zidane, how’s it going?” The CSI member looked up, “Oh, hello, Colonel. Have I congratulated you yet? Congrats, if I haven’t.” “No, it’s ok, thanks though.” Reaver shook his hand, but Zidane had already gave his congrats. He walked on over, “Anything new you found?” “Um, well, yes, there is something…it’s that poor Yuan fellow.” “Yuan? Wasn’t that the man that Marcus killed in front of the Supermarket?” Reaver asked, and followed Zidane, who was walking down the large room, towards where a large body was laid down on a table. His stomach was ripped open neatly, FEGirl was above the body with a bloody knife in one hand and a doctor’s surgical mask covering her lower face. Reaver found it amazing there was no stench in the room from it, “Er—“ “Pendant flows the air around with her psynergy here so we don’t smell like carcass.” Zidane said, “Though it’s not like the smell would be that bad anyway. But I can’t complain.” Reaver looked at him funny, “How’d you know I was gonna ask about that?” “Everyone does. Well, almost everyone.” “Almost?” FEGirl looked up, “The Ex-Colonel could tell right away. The guy sure has a sense for sensing psynergy.” “Hmn.” Reaver held his chin with one hand, “Anyway, what about Yuan’s body?” “Well.” FEGirl reached one of his hands inside the open body and ripped out an organ, “He had a good heart. Sob.” After an awkward silence, FEGirl put the heart back into the body, “Yes. Well, with all bad puns aside…” “Thank god.” “Actually, it does have to do with his heart. That was the liver I just pulled out. Look.” She reached in again and pulled out another organ, this one the size of a large orange, but had a different color. “Glowing green?” Reaver raised an eyebrow, how unusual. The green aura was very faint, but it was still clearly visible. “What’s the cause? I don’t think our water is that bad…” “Unknown as of now.” FEGirl said, “But…” The heart’s aura suddenly fell, it didn’t become visible anymore. FEGirl looked like she expected this, “Hmn. Well, that’s odd.” “Check the others that Marcus and Zephyr killed.” Reaver said, “Marcus was saying something that the boons he killed were carrying something…” “Money?” Zidane asked. “No, something else.” Reaver said, “We gotta find that out, pronto.” “I’ll get right on it.” FEGirl said. Reaver turned around to exit the room, but as he took a few steps forward, he turned his head over his shoulder, “Hey, where’s Pendant, by the way? This is the head case we have, I expect her to be on it.” “She said she was out gathering research materials.” Zidane said, “Be back real quick, also.” “Alright then. Good luck.” Reaver faced forward, then walked towards the door, leaving the two with the open body. Zidane looked over at Yuan’s body, “Wow, you sure like cutting things open, huh?” “Oh, yes.” FEGirl held a large knife in one hand, which was soaked in blood, “STAB STAB STAB STAB!!!” After each brutal verb she motioned a stab in the air. Zidane took a few steps back, “U-Um…right. I’ll get back to you after I finish this report.” |

Please post. It makes me happy :[ Chapter 14 A laboratory. The room was large, but seemed to be underground. The only source of light was from the few lights overhead on the ceiling, and the glowing machinery and computers. One man in a tall white-lab coat with glasses on entered the room through many automatic doors. Each door layer was so thick of metal and probably bullet-proof, it was like he was in a jail, rather than a laboratory. He walked down the room. He passed by a few large tubes, that had green, glowing ooze in them. A naked human being was incased within the pod, asleep. His skin tone was a bit darker than most Fef citizens. Other scientists were examining the computers in front of the pods, punching in data on the large glowing keyboards in front of them. The scientist walked past many of these, and came in front of a very large computer, the end of the room. On the screen had a mass amount of encrypted characters, and formulas. Any normal human being, or Leon, would’ve had their brain melt just from trying to figure it out. Another scientist, a female, was sitting down on a chair in front of it. The male scientist put one hand on his chin, “How’s it coming along?” “They’ve been stable.” The female said, not looking up to the male scientist, “It’s been a quiet night.” “That’s good.” “But…that one over there has been in and off.” She pointed at a tube with a young man in it, behind her. The male looked over at it, with a calm expression, “Isn’t that #22?” He knew the answer was yes, “He has been the most advanced out of all of them.” “Or at least, the only one who has even really been awake at all. Although he is sleeping now.” “At this rate, he should be ready for me to present him to the suits.” The male scientist said, adjusting his glasses, “Great news.” “Congrats, Professor.” “Thanks, but it’s all because of you,” He chuckled, “If it weren’t for you, well—“ The alarm blared. All of the different colored lights on the keyboards and ceiling and walls turned red. The blare was very loud, the male professor had to raise his voice high for the female to hear him, “What is it!?” “P-Professor! It’s him!! Look!!” The male heard sounds of glass breaking. He turned his attention back to the person in the pod. What he saw dazzled him, not only was the person awake, but he was ferocious. His fists were like missiles when they smashed against the glass, it only took a couple jabs and the glass pod broke, and all the green ooze flowed out, frying the computers around it. Scientists panicked and ran off towards the exit, escaping the state of emergency. The male scientist grabbed the female by the arm and pulled her up, “G-Go! Get out of here!” “No! Professor! It’s too dangerous! What about you!?” “Don’t worry about me Just get out!” He argued, trying to push her towards another aisle, which would bypass #22’s path and go to the exit. He was unsuccessful, the woman was not going to go anywhere, “Professor!” The struggle was so fierce that the male lost control of the direction he was trying to push her in somehow, and when she did move, her legs ran forward, towards #22. The male screamed as loud as the female as #22 grabbed a large shard of glass from his broken pod and stabbed it in her stomach, like a massive dagger. She coughed up blood and fell to the ground, with the glass still in her. The male roared, “MONSTER!!” He ran forward screaming, grabbing a tazer that he had in one pocket. But the naked lab experiment didn’t look intimidated at all. He took out the large shard of glass and smashed it at the male horizontally, smashing the glass and sending the scientist at a large piece of machinery that he collided with head-on. The male groaned as he tried opening his eyes, and looking towards #22. He saw the monster slaughter the woman with his bare hands. The male scientist wanted to get up, but he just didn’t have the strength. When #22 was finished, he walked slowly over towards the male scientist. He grabbed the male by the throat and pushed him against the machinery and raised him high in the air. The scientist was getting strangled, he held the large hand with both of his, trying to get himself out of the situation. “You…do this to us. Why…this……” The experiment’s eyes turned red, “Die!!” The experiment spoke, which made the male scientist both stunned and scared. He wanted to communicate with this specimen, but this was certainly a bad time. #22 placed his other large hand on the male scientist’s face, grasping it tight. The male was afraid if he squeezed any tighter he could pop his head like a melon. #22 squeezed tighter. A prisoner in the FEF Jail quickly had his eyes opened up and wide. He grabbed his glasses and looked around his surroundings, and sat up straight in his cot. Very early morning, he guessed. Still dark, and he was in his cell. The moonlight shone through his psynergy-barred window above his cot. He held his forehead with one hand, “That? Eh…why now.” He put his glasses back under his cot and put his head back on his pillow, “Doesn’t make sense…” --- The next day, Bosco sighed, with his head resting on the glass table in the integration room. His face was facing the mirror on the wall, he was very irritated, and scared. He didn’t do anything wrong in his eyes, as creepy as killing a person was… “So, why’d you do it?” “Major, I told you, he was an enemy. H-He tried to kill me earlier, but…” Bosco stopped, he couldn’t say he saw the legendary hero Rusty. They’d think he was crazy. “I managed to um…fight him off and he ran away, but I found him later and before he tried striking me I used psynergy and…he was dead.” Sentenal lowered his head, “Bosco, you expect me to believe that?” Bosco looked up, “Well, y-yes, Major, I do.” “How can I when Major Yotsuba was one of our top people here, and also was the only high-ranking officer that according to you, betrayed the Military?” Sentenal asked, “Huh?” “Where’s Lt. Colonel Leon or even the Colonel!?” Bosco yelled, “They can read my mind and know I killed Yotsuba for being a traitor and out of defense!!” “They’ve been discharged, fool!” Sentenal informed him, “Even one such as you who has been in jail all this time should know about that!” Bosco wanted to yell more, but knew he had to stop, “T…there are no…nobody in the Military can read my mind, then?” “Correct.” “Then I guess…I’m going to be here for a while, huh?” --- Reaver finished reading another document from one of Sentenal and Seahawk’s reports. He ignored Bosco’s, but was really only interested in Marcus’s. Zephyr didn’t wish to say anything, and the others were useless. He grunted when he saw that Hiei and Air Grady were unhealthy to get out of the hospital wing. He forgot they were still alive. The blow he gave to them at The Casino was powerful enough to kill them, he thought. What a mistake. His newly-appointed door knocked. Reaver looked up, “Come in.” The large General Rock stepped in, and Reaver sat straight up in his seat and saluted, “General! What brings you here, this morning?” He then noticed the conditions of his leader. Rock was seriously bruised, his armor damaged, and he was limping. Reaver jumped, “G-General!! What happened!?” “It’s … augh, I didn’t see them. Someone shot a psynergic-electric bullet at me, it…urgh, it was strong…” He fell to his knees, and Reaver ran up to him, “And your armor, sir!?” “Y-You expect me to remember everything, Colonel? I…was just…beaten…crap…” He fell to his face, and Reaver stood up. He examined the General, then grabbed the phone and called the medics. |
