There has not been a single non-constructive critical statement made in this topic yet. Calm down and take things in stride. You will never get better unless you listen to the suggestions these people have. |

Well, the image is too small, also stating that you can see the white spots from the cutting. The font is really bad and doesn't match at all, saying that for the backround also. I suggest getting Photoshop. n_n; |

Uhh, use a bigger picture? Here's a quick tutorial on how to render in GIMP: 1. Find your picture on the internet. Make it decent size. If it's too big, use the scaling tool. Here's a picture on how to find the scaling tool: ![]() Now press the lower arrow where it says "new height" until you get to around 500 or so, depending on how big your banner is. 2. Now select the free select (lasso) tool. ![]() 3. Now, using the lasso tool, hold your mouse down and trace the outside of the part of the image you want in your banner. It doesn't have to be perfect, but take your time and get it close. ![]() 4. Now, the final step, go to the "Select" menu, then "Feather...". Set the feather amount to around 20 pixels for a large image. ![]() 5. Now copy ("Edit" menu, then "copy"), and paste your image in your banner. Your result should come out with blurred edges, so it blends in. And that is how you render pictures in GIMP. Questions? |

A plugin that can be used to make multi-colored clouds and such. You can use it by going to the Filter menu, then then to Render, then to Clouds, and finally to Plasma.. . =o |

Uhh... A plugin is a program you can download that enhances another program. In this case, you can download the Plasma plugin in order to be able to use that effect in GIMP. I do not know how I can put it in simpler terms. o__o; |
