And this goes back to the "marijuana is no more dangerous than nicotene or alcohol" argument. |

Millions of people die a year from cigarettes. The addiction kills. Pot is not addictive and and makes you feel very good. If they just legalize it, you won't worry about people dying from having things in the drug that are harmful. The government would make sure it was clean. Everyone's happy! |

*doesn't read thread* I'm sorry, weed is addicitive, and its a dangerous drug, and its primary usage would be idiots using it to ruin their own lives. No, keep it banned. |

The feeling of being high can be addictive as can anything at all, varying from washing your hands to wearing a certain color of socks. There are no addictive substances in marijuana, so if you only use it sparingly, you will not become addicted. However, nicotene IS addictive, and it is proven that after several cigarettes, you WILL become addicted. |

Still doesn't support any fact that the only people who would use it are idiots trying to ruin their lives. |

What does it do? Screw with your body. What does that do? Ruin your life. And who would willingly do that? An idiot. |

Exactly. The high can be addicting. And if you don't overdose, you will not become addicted. If you are mature and responsible about it, nothing will go wrong. Only YOU yourslef can ruin your life by not taking it seriously. That's all. |

I don't like advocating any drug, but there's worst stuff out there that's legal and people will abuse anything at the expense of people who may actually need it. |

Hey, if you want to look at that way, drinking sugar and caffeine messes with your body, too. |

Off topic but in of the newer Time issues, it discusses many benefits to caffeine. It can protect your liver, increase mental stimulation et cetera. On topic: Anyways, if used moderately and in small doses, I fail to see the problem especially when compared to other things. :\ |

Shinn addressed Caffine. I'll address sugar. Sugar is a nessisary part of one's diet. On the otherhand, Pot isn't. |
