Feez abused liquify, and similar effects. The tech brush abuse KILLS ramza's. Overall, I honestly prefer Ramza's. |

Does it really matter? Myself and him were having off days with our work. Regardless, what people think is what they're gonna think. At least honest opinions are being given and not some sugarcoated bullshiting suck-up vote to the either of us. Besides. As everyone said. Miiiine sucked. Zephyr's sucked. We're both a giant mass of suck in this GFX battle. |

I find it pretty degrading when I do something that I'm very proud of which gets hammered and labeled as "suckage" because "the text ruins it." We only have a handful of real critiques on this forum. Most posers just say, "This sucks because the text ruins it," and then when a better banner is made, they say, "I like it for some reason." Yeah, a lot of help there. Thanks for the compliment, but please don't brag about how you helped your buddy become the world-famous artist he is today. And on a side note: I honestly think both of your banners are good, but Ramza wins out due to his excellent choice of color. |

Actually, I'm the only one who said anything about the text. Unless that was some sort of indirect insult. And uh, yeah. It does. KZ's banner is actually pretty good, but I couldn't even see it because the text was distractingly bad. It's not something I'm just saying. He's done better, and we've all seen it. Text is hard, and it's not like he fails miserably because it wasn't great but I personally don't think it looks good this time, and it takes away from the quality of the banner. "Poser" critique isn't critique at all. I've met artists that are actually frustrated with the sheer lack of anything constructive becaues everyone sugarcoats things or goes "haha that'z gud." If someone doesn't point out the negatives, nothing they do wrong will ever improve. And if it's a good banner, what's bad about complimenting it? Your logic confounds me. So if you don't have thick skin, so be it, you can go ask for nice critics. But don't stop us from trying to point out something. I'm not going to even try to make out any sense in the second half of your second paragraph. If I recall, you didn't even put up a critique when you posted first. Just a complaint on how harsh we were, even if the artists themselves agree. Productive, sure. |

:p I need the critique. If not, then... Well... I wouldn't be able to figure out my flaws and fix them up. And seriously. Who wants to suck, the rest of thier life? |

I'll admit, I just got told. My main point though is that although critique is welcome, it's often either extreme and "try again- you fail," or bland with no particular meaning. And if somebody is struggling but trying hard, give suggestions. |

Well. If someone says something along the lines of TOO MUCH TECH. I think I sorta get the hint to not use TOO MUCH TECH. Example? The top banner in my signature. If I'm told the text sucks. I kinda get the idea to work on that a bit more. That's all I've really seen from these people when they were giving thier opinions on it. |
