How to not Suck at SSBM

I know all those techniques. As in I can do and have done all those techniques consistently all the time. Also, I don't think its too helpful how the info is presented. If you really want to help the n00bs out, link them to Wak's series of instructional videos, they are quite complete and helpful. I'm too lazy to find the links myself.

Why can't we just have an "Official everything related to SSB" thread?

By posting topics like this, theoretically people could just post topics like "How not to suck at "*insert any game ever here*", which would get really annoying.

If you play people using those techniques, you'll get good with them and get a lot better at Smash.

Well, that is if you play people that also use the techniques against you, as well.

Played a few matches against a level 9 bowser.
I rarely jumped with the diagonal stick. D:
That was when I was talking to my brother. So, I raped Bowser with x button jumping. o_o;

I combo'd him from 0% - 150% XD
With Link.

Playing level 9's ruins mindgames/makes the development of mindgames impossible.

AKA it makes you worse.

Practice technique against level 1's.

I hate agreeing with Lucas, but playing level 9's=bad. Since they are so predictable, they make you get into bad habits therefore making you predictable.

I can beat a level 9 Bowser playing with one finger with various characters. Just spam their best smash attacks. o_o

For example, if I play as Peach, just down c-stick with the right timing. If I play as Marth, I just foward c-stick when he gets in range. etc.

Noted, but comboing Bowser up to 150% is fun, he died shortly after. :D

I need to get a 4th controller again, my last one broke,
Luckily it was only cheap. :D

Uh...you should combo more commonly used characters. Fox, Falco, Sheik, Peach, and Marth are the common tournament characters. You'll encounter Samus, Captain Falcon, and Dr. Mario sometimes, too.

You use Link, a midtier character. You better practice comboing those characters or the tourny people will rape you.

Correction: Tourney people will hop, kick, shine, and CG the hell out of the Link, regardless of how good it is.

Everyone has their bad games. Aniki actually could've won the match he lost, he was close. Germ is below Isai for sure, I don't blame him.

D:
I play my neighbour who at first played with the Ice Climbers.
He switched to Doctor Mario when he started playing more.
Ever since it's been the craziness with the doctor.

I can fend him off damn well when there's another two coming at me. :D

An opportunist, eh? So am I!

I can beat Soja and that's good enough for me, even if it's only half the time. I'm reluctant to try to learn these techniques simply because I don't play it that often any more. Next time I play it will probably be when I'm in Tennessee again. It's kind of pointless unless you're a habitual player and are surrounded by other habitual players.

I'll probably just get Brawl and then play it for a week. XDDD
