If only we could run away, and go somewhere where all the people haven't heard of us, then I could have him all to myself, and hold his delicate body forever.

But, today is my wedding day, and I am marrying that little pegasus knight, Florina. I knew Lyn loved her, but she doesn't get to have her, if only because she gets to leave Caelin and do what she wants. Lyn may be a better fighter than me now, but I won't let her be happier than me. That bitch doesn't get that. Little Florina is devoted to me, and clings to me and tells me I'm so wonderful. Almost makes me feel bad for marrying her, but it's my duty to give Ostia another heir, and she's better looking than most girls around here. She'll never be him, though.

That is why I am beating my face into a wall. For my lost happiness, and for my love, and also for the little girl I'm lying to.

I hate this love shit.

It was a pleasant day in Lycia.  Things had been peasant.  Ever since the adventures of Eliwood and Hector, there wasn't much for Marcus to do around the place.  Or at least there wasn't...

The sky darkened, and the ground began to shake.  Eliwood assembled all the forces within Pherae, and they rushed out of the castle.  They formed their battle lines, and prepared the defenses of the castle.  And the sky continued to darken, and the ground continued to shake.

And then it came.

Bursting from the sky in a hellfire of what could only be described as "condensed statistical information" fell from the sky, consuming all it touched.  And in the middle of it, was a being.  Could this being even be considered mortal?  He was pulsing with pure statistical information.  And he had come to face one man.  And that man was Marcus.

"Where is Marcus, Oifaye of 7th game of the Fire Emblem series!?"  The being called, in a voice that was...  unbecoming of one so statistically endowed.

Marcus heeded his call, and fearlessly rode out to face him.  "I'm Marcus!  Just who are you?  I will protect Pherae with my life, and I will not allow you to harm it!"

"I am known as 'Lucas'!  And you are the remaining Oifaye!  The one being left, with who I must now become one with, to achieve true efficiency and usefulness!"

"I don't know what you are babbling about, but I will defeat you!"  Marcus grabbed his lance, and charged him!  He planned on charging straight through the hellfire of condensed statistical information to attack him directly.

"No-o!  Marcus, what are you doing!  Y-You can't hope to defeat me!  Just surrender!"

Marcus paid him no heed.  He didn't even realize that Lucas was trying to warn him.  Marcus was hit directly by a condensed bolt of Fire Emblem 6 data.  And the effects were horrible.

The entire color of Marcus' armor was changed.  It went from Red to Purple in an instant.  But that was not the end.  His body was transformed as well.  Marcus was transformed into a useless, old man, completely useless, and deserving of the title "Experience Sucker".

Upon seeing that he was the actual result of Fire Emblem 6's Marcus being so bad, Lucas immediate imploded.  And despite Marcus being rendered completely useless in all regards, Marcus was now praised throughout the land, as being the only one with a small enough penis to defeat Lucas.

"Lute, please, stop this...you're apt to get yourself killed...what if the enemy..." Artur pleaded, but before he could finish, a faint rumble of the bushes and a brigade of soldiers burst from the underbrush, Grado Insignia's proudly upon their armored chests.

"Enemy battalion sighted!" The one clearly in charge pointed forward with his spear "Break and Attack!" They started forward, only to stop dead in their tracks.

"...she's...a duck..." one pointed out rather confusedly, staring at Lute.

"DUCK!" Lute yelled suddenly, in a mixture of excitement and panicked instruction. Instinctively, Knoll and Artur threw themselves to the ground. A swift arrow volley from behind them ensued, thudding painfully into the enemy before them. Then almost too close for comfort, the four flyers swooped down just barely above the heads of the magicians and  ferociously gutted the remaining men before returning to the skies.

Artur and Knoll stood after a moment, dusting themselves off.

"She always do stuff like this?" Knoll asked, mildly amused (mildly miffed as well).

"...yeah, I'm afraid she does" the monk sighed, straightening his now dirtied robes.

"One can never understand the fabrications from the mind of a genius."  Lute grinned before flipping out her tome and running into the forest.

The two men shared significant glances and a single exasperated sigh before taking off after the eccentric mage.

“Ah. Renault . . . it’s been awhile since we last met, hasn’t it?”

This mercenary volunteered freely for Nergal’s experiments, knowing they would make him less than human . . .

Canas watched, and listened, knowing that he was the only one of the group who would hear the words that passed between the two men.
“I will not allow you to desecrate the earth anymore, Nergal. Saint Elimine herself could not forgive your sins,”
“Ha! You’re one to preach, Renault. You know full well that the things you’ve done are far from holy. All in the name of friendship . . . pah! I learnt long ago that friendship means nothing.”
“You haven’t changed one bit. You still crave only power, as you did then. What I did then was nothing for anyone to be proud of, but in a way, some good has come of it. I will do what I should have done all those years ago. Nergal, you will die here!”
It happened almost before Canas could even react. He covered his face from the blinding flash of light, and dropped his arm as it faded. Nergal still stood opposite Renault, only now his expression was undoubtedly smug. The bishop looked aghast. Nergal barely raised his hand as he started to chant. The air of the Dragon’s Gate grew noticeably darker . . .
“ERESHKIGAL!”
Renault was thrown aside. He showed no signs of getting up.
“Fool . . . where is your god now?!”

Almost without even realising it, Canas had raised his hand and begun his own chanting. Nergal looked up in surprise.
“LUNA!”

This was a long, long time ago . . .

Hollie should have done some more research on Renault to make his fight with Nergal more awesome. The guy's not really a Bishop. He should have pulled a huge sword out of nowhere and used awesome light magic and sword combo moves to beat the shit out of Nergal.
