This looks like a strong reason to buy the Wii.

Although I'm not excited for anything coming out really.

PS3 doesn't give me a hard on. The Wii does. The XBOX360 and Gears of War make me curious.

Neo, don't worry about it. Lots of people have explained that you can play with the wiimote/nunchuk in either hand combination. Since swordplay isn't 1:1, it doesn't really make a difference.

The GC version is coming out later than the Wii version anyways, I have the Wii version reserved so I see no problems, though with that and the other games I'm getting I will probably vanish from online for a while.

lol sexual innuendo. There is a mirror one for lefties? Good, that was my only complaint about the game.

I don't think there's a mirror mode for lefties, I just think you're allowed to use your left hand.

this is a game for Lucas - Link goes shirtless when he sumos.

I just was watching Gamespot do a live feed for like two hours with their Wii. They played Wii Sports, Monkey Ball, Madden and then spent like an hour with TP. They were retards, so it took them forever to do stuff, but they were about halfway to the first dungeon. The intro is pretty amazing, the guy was impressed with how good the controls were, even though he's not a big gamer. Spoilers follow. Basically the first half an hour or so you familiarize yourself with the village and the controls. You get to ride your horse a bit, herd some goats, and then you get to use this grass reed thing to call a hawk, and you can use the hawk to summon unreachable items and such. In a nutshell, you end up having to get this stolen baby basket thing from this monkey with the hawk, which you give to this pregg0rz lady to get a fishing rod, which you use to go fishing (which looks strangely complex and deep for a minigame). You get a fish and then give it to this cat so he returns to his owner, who happens to be the lady who owns the shop. Then she allows you to buy a slingshot, which you use to shoot down this bee hive up on this tree. You then practice the slingshot a bit, which apparently can be used two ways: the first being you Z-target (Z button is on the nunchuk, by the way) and then just press A or you actually go into first person mode and aim it with the remote and press A to launch. You need to use the second one with things like targets or other stuff that you can't Z-target.

More random things. You have to wrestle a goat or something, it's not that complicated, all you do is hold A and aim right. You go back to your house and discover that your wooden sword has been repaired. Then the kids ask you to show them some moves on a scarecrow. Swordplay looks freaking sweet. They're are quite a few different ways the remote will register your attacks, whether they be horizontal, vertical, stabs, etcetera. You shake the nunchuk to do a spin move. You tilt forward on the the analog and press A to do a jump move (something that confused me... why map all the other swordplay to the remote expect for the jump move? maybe it leaves room for more combos or something.)

the final part they played showed you climbing through an OoT Kokiri Forest-esque tunnel and then following these kids past this fence (horse riding is basically the same as it was in OoT, except you can fight on horses now) and you jump some fences to presumably get to Hyrule Field... and then they ended the demo.

It looks really, really good, guys.
