With little progress in the suggestions area, I feel this will get more attention here. Pokemon debates can take place if and only if I get one more judge for this. If I get two additional ones beyond that, all the better, but for now I just need one more and we can get this started. THE RULES 1. If you enter this tournament, you are agreeing to post within three days when it is your turn or you will be disqualified from that round with no exceptions. 2. We will use the advanced generation's base stats and pokedex which is every pokemon up to #386. It can be found here. 3. Mewtwo, Mew, Lugia, Ho-oh, Celebi, Latias, Latios, Kyogre, Groudon, Rayquaza, Jirachi, and Deoxys are banned from all debates. 4. Venusaur, Charizard, Blastoise, Meganium, Typhlosion, Feraligatr, Sceptile, Blaziken, Swampert, Articuno, Zapdos, Moltres, Raikou, Entei, Suicune, Regirock, Regice, Registeel, Dragonite, Tyranitar, Salamence, and Metagross can be optionally banned as a group if both debaters agree to it. Note that any pre-evolutions would be banned from the debate as well. 5. The debates will account for ingame usage and gba-on-gba battles. For the purposes of gba-on-gba, it is understood that the nature and three IV's were bred for, and it had ev training. This means that unlike netbattle, three IV's are left to chance and there are no clauses. For the purposes of ingame, the nature and IV's are all random and the EV's are random (though it can be argued that the areas a pokemon will most likely be used biases some EV's one or the other). 6. A council of three judges will vote on the debates when they conclude. When a judge is competing in a debate, an alternate judge will cast a vote. In the case of two judges competing against each other, two alternate judges will cast votes. 7. If people meet up twice in the brackets, they will need to select new characters for that debate that have not been selected yet for the tournament at all. |
