It's rather nice that they have a different system that allows them to level in a tower rather than by using a dangerous system (Arena). Basically FE8 is a complete ripoff of FE2 as that game had unlimited leveling as well. But oh yeah Wyvern fighters pwns completely in this game as they somehow manage to end up with the cool move piercing strike. |

Pierce is teh sux. An Arena gives gold, and doesn't own your weapons (because you have to use your own weapons in the Tower). Also, monsters are phail. Arena>>>>>>>Ruins>>>>>>>>Something very bad>>>>>>The tower. |

Exactly. It's more likely she'll be at the same level on Eirika's route. |

In Eph route Tana is locked up, and she won't be released until only Gheb (and maybe one of his guards) remain. Tana isn't fighting Gheb. In Eir route Tana can kill of the Mercs in her joining chapter easily, and the some more nubs on her way to save Innes in chapter 10. The chapters after that are all filled with monsters who give Tana great Exp, and they don't put up a fight at all. The promoted monsters will give Tana a full level, and since she has such great stats, and she's a bit behind, it's natural that she gets a good deal of them. So, in Eph mode Cormag certainly has a level lead, a rather big one, but in Eir mode, Tana is at a higher level. |

Okay, if you can’t get 4 levels for Tana in one chapter, you don’t deserve to be playing this game. At 7 Str/13 Spd Tana can already pull her weight on the attack, and this is FE8 we’re talking about.
Your units are only 11/0 on Chapter 13? What game are you playing? Or are you just using an 18-man team or something?
There are ~20 Cavalier reinforcements for her to feed off of, not to mention the defensive enemies in Gheb’s room. |
|
Reikken: I'm halfway through reading it, but it's so bad; I can't finish. --- Inui: You say Ilia holds more weight, but I don't, since Shin >>> Pegs and Sacae is more fun due to enemies that aren't fail and not having to move through forests all day. --- SACAE. It's more fun than Ilia. | |

Wait, when do these come? If they're the ones I think they are, then they come while you're at the place Amelia is. Meaning they block your way to Tana. Also, there are like 3-4 enemies with GHEB, most likely they're already owned when Tana is freed. If they come later... well, if you take long enough for them to appear, then you're the one who doesn't deserve to be playing this game. |

If you're not babying Tana like you'd need to baby Nino, Cormag will indeed have a level lead on her (Eph route). |

I´m getting pretty tired of comments like ´you don´t deserve to be playing this game´. No offense to anyone, but they´re annoying. ´lol if u cant beet this game using only hector nd serra den u suk ass nd dont deserve 2 b playing dis game´ It was a statement. Whether or not she´d actually be at level 20 or level 11 on Eirika´s route is irrelevant. It still holds true that she has a much higher chance to be on the same level as Cormag on Eirika´s route than on Ephraim´s route. |

How can you say that? Pierce can pierce through defenses of any unit and not only ignoring defense but it'll always inflict the same DMG on any unit regardless of the amount of stats that they have. ------------------------------------------------------- And about not deserving to play the game shouldn't enjoying it be all that matters anyways. Everyone has their own styles of playing their games. |

Yes, Pierce, the grand skill that activates, what, 10/15% of the time by endgame? Completely unreliable. Besides, if you need the Arena, Tower, or Ruins to beat FE8, you REALLY shouldnt be playing it, since you, well, suck at FE horribly. |

And the fact that it gets a mighty 20% activation chance at 20/20 (a level you won't reach) doesn't mean anything to you? And wtf do you mean with that last statement about Pierce? The units Str and weapon will still come into play. Always same damage, my ass. |

Tana isn't a freaking dodge tank when you first get her! She can't fight all those cavaliers by herself. She MIGHT get one level from that chapter, and one level the next, but Jesus Christ, 4 levels in one chapter? How are you with Nino? And with Cormag's bases and a freaking Killer Lance he comes with, he is still beating the shit out of things better than Tana. I just don't see how you can level her up that quick without Towering or skirmishes. |

Why are you trying to have her fight the enemies all by herself, then? No, ofcourse she can’t do that, but only liek 3 units can. “tana can’t solo the chapter so she can't level”—Don’t take things to such extremes. There are 10 or so other units on the field, and they will indeed be there to back Tana up(or vice versa). LvL 4 Tana gets ~47 Exp for killing one of those Cavaliers, and even at her base level w/ Iron Lance she can DA the ones with Javelins or Steel Lances. The Cavs from the bottom come in waves of 3. Someone like Gilliam walks up and gets attacked by 3 Cavs, counters w/ Javelin and brings them all to 13-14 Hp, Tana kills one of ‘em, Franz and Ephraim kill the other two, rinse and repeat. If you can’t practice even such an infantile tactic as this, something’s definitely wrong. And then there are a good 4-5 free kills waiting for her at the end of the chapter. There’s no problem at all with leveling Tana.
rly? How so?
……By having her kill things? My party generally gains 2 levels per chapter from Chapter 9 to Chapter 12 or 13; the typical 11/0 unit is getting ~24 Exp for killing those Cavs in Chapter 9, about half that of 4/0 Tana, so it follows logically that Tana’s leveling twice as fast.
The 3 from the bottom side don’t start coming in until you enter the hallway with the chests and Tana.
There’s no need to go off and kill Gheb before getting to Tana and the Chests. |

Because Tana's *much* better in the endgame. Her Attack Speed destroys Cormag's, her Acoid destroys Cormag's, and her Strength ain't even that far off of Cormag; Cormag joins at 9/0 with, what, 11 Str? Tana has 9.25 average Strength at 9/0 and her growth is 5-10 lower, so while he wins, it ain't by so much that it eclipses the AS and particularly Avoid leads. |
